We wake up around 7am, and we turn on the TV to look at the Bridge Cam. The view shows us at Castaway Cay. The ship is starting its turn so it can back into dock.
DS10 and myself go upto Deck 9 for the Beach Blanket Buffet, while DW gets DS6 up. By the time we get up, the boat has already made a complete turn and is backing into dock.
DS10 and I get our same seats at the back next to the rail, though they are a little wet this time. DW and DS6 come up and we eat breakfast, while dodging the Seagulls.
We walk around and take some pictures of Castaway Cay from the ship and then go to the cabin to get ready to go to the beach.
We head out of the ship and pick up some towels and take a few pictures. Hop on the Tram and grab a set of chairs under an umbrella. DW and I go to the snorkel rental and pick up the gear. They give you a gear bag to hold everything. Then we go and get our floats. We chose 2 rafts and 2 tubes.
Its now time for DS10 and I to go to Parasail. We have a 10am reservation. We get on the boat with 6 other people. A lady and her daughter go first, then the man and daughter then man and son. Then it is our turn. We get a great ride. They start to go in, since we are the last set in the boat to go up.. We get to fly right over and just in front of the ship. Then we are dipped 3 times. As soon as we get in the boat the driver says there is a problem on the other boat and they need to assist. When we get there we see that the wench broke and the boy and father are stuck in the air. We make one attempt to grab them and miss, then we grab them, pull them in the boat and unlatch them. Another boat comes out and we get in that boat and go back in. As we pass the wonder they are testing Lifeboat 21 and every crewmember in that boat pops their head out and waves to us as we pass by.
As we were parasailing, DW and DS6 snorkled. They had a great time. DS6 did a great job and was very brave when the fish would be swimming around. We have alot of great pictures of him snorkeling, including one of his head out of the water with the Wonder in the background. DW buys DS6 a sand play kit ($16 for a bucket and shovel set, but that is his consolation for not going parasailing).
Then we go back and meet DW and DS6 at the beach. DS6 is playing and Goofy comes by for pictures. It looks like it might storm, so we head to lunch. Lunch is at Cookies BBQ. There is BBQ Ribs and Chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, lobster cakes and desserts as well as Soft Serve Ice Cream in Strawberry and Cookie Dough Flavors. The Cookie Dough Soft Server Ice Cream was absolutly delicious.
We eat and there are drink stations set up. It never does rain, but we heard alot of Thunder throughout the day. We go back to the beach, and DS6 wants to go to the kids club. So we drop him off at Monstro Point and DW swims with DS10 while I snorkel and see the hidden Mickey and the nautilus sub. It is really a nice snorkel area.
I go up and get DS6, but he does not want to go, so I take a walk to Heads Up Bar and get a non-alcoholic KonK Cooler. It was very good. I walk back and we all go and get DS6 and take a bike ride. DS10 almost wrecks into DW, and they are both a bit scratched up. We continue on and DS6 wipes out and gets a big abrasion on his knee. He insists he can continue, but after a few minutes, it starts to hurt and we head back. The Bike Riding was just not a good idea that day. We go to first aid and get some bandages, we walk back to the ship and take a few more pictures.
We clean up in the room, I go and pay the tips at Guest Services. I take the beeper back to the kids clubs and get my receipt showing it was turned in (It is $150.00 if not turned in). We go and get a formal picture done in front of the Wonder Backdrop. Then head up to purchase a souvinir boat for DS10. We watch the Disney Dreams show, which was very nice. You are allowed to tape the shows, so we taped this show. We wished we had taped Golden Mickeys as well. As soon as the show is over DS10 heads out to Treasure Ketch to get the Captain (Captain Henry) to sign the boat. We got his picture taken with Captain Henry as well. We then walk around a bit more and then head to Dinner at the Animators Palette. Head Server Kapoor recognizes us and seats us at table 57 again. Faisel and Ramsay are there. I had Butternut Squash soup/tomato salad, Crusted Veal, Choc Cake. DW has the soup, duck flat bread, and roasted chicken. DS6 falls asleep at Dinner and I take him to the cabin just as soon as dessert is over. The show at Animators was good. I might have been expecting to much, but as a restaurant it was excellent. We pack and get the luggage outside the cabin before 11pm. I go back up on Deck with DS10 and we walk around a little more. We go and drop him off back at the cabin, and I go back up.
I see a light in the distance and as it gets closer, I notice it is the Magic. You can make out the smoke stacks and it is nice to see how we looked. It is really pretty at night. And about 10 minutes later the Carnival Glory passed us on the other side. Not nearly as dramatic, but still nice to see the lights. They have already emptied out the Goofy pool for cleaning and they are working on various parts of the deck, so certain areas are roped off. I head back down to the cabin and call it a day.
Notes:
-I highly recommend eating breakfast at Beach Blanket Buffet and watching the ship pull into Castaway Cay.
-There are plenty of chairs. Plenty of Umbrellas. Plenty of white sandy areas. Another 100 hammocks would be nice. But we never sat down long enough to enjoy a hammock. The chairs over by the heads up bar were empty all day.
-The Getaway Package was just too much for us. We would get the snorkle equipment again, and maybe 1 or 2 floats. We just rode the bikes simply because we paid for them. There were plenty of floats available all day.
-There are alot of lines at Cookies BBQ, with the same food. Look around, the ones on the side may be shorter.
-On the last day, the line to pay tips was extremly long, but they were also doing tips at the Shore Excursion desk, with no line.
-Castaway Cay was a highlight. The Island is so clean and beautiful.
-Get your towels as you leave the boat. We did not see any other place to get towels. There were plenty of towel drop areas however.

-The sad day of the report is coming soon.
