Julie's Jolly Journey (posts welcome)- I'm back...

Thanks for all the encouragement Tracy, Jean & Dax. It really helps to have the support of my WISH friends:sunny:

Ok- I am not doing a good job of keeping track of my workouts. :rolleyes: Of course I still have company- so my posing time has been limited.

Sunday night was Cardo Scupt with Allie- I used 3 lb weights on all the upper body exercises. I need to try weights on the leg lifts- but I think it will be awhile before I use them on my shoulders with the fannylifter. I can hardly finish the set as it is!- Oh well, something to work towards.

Monday was rest day- the day just got away from me - I did do a lot of stair climbing doing the laundry.:D

Tonight was treadmill- 35 min & I added the Ab Sculpt-with Lisa Kay- 1st time for this workout- I may feel this one tomorrow.
 
Tonight it was Cardio Sculpt with Allie- it was harder to get thru than the last time- probably from the Ab sculpt I did after the treadmill last night!

I'm gonna try something different with my treadmill walk tomorrow night. I read it in a fitness mag- it is "intervals" moderate 3 minutes then as fast as you can for 1 minute- then back to moderate for 3 etc for 7-9 times. It is supposed to burn the fat faster. Will report on that tomorrow.
 
Keep on working out! The more and longer you do the easier it becomes. My walking is that way and now I am up to running a couple of miles each day and if you told me I'd be running in Dec. I woulda said you were crazy!

I tried the intervals on the treadmill tonight- it was a lot tougher than I thought it would be. I wanted to do 7 but could only do 6 times. I really wanted to cut my time short a couple of times but I stuck it out. I hope it burned a lot of calories!::yes:: I was going to try to add an upper body Firm tape- but I was worn out after that!:earseek:

I have gotten away from writing down my points while my family was here- back to keeping track again- I really want the 2nd half of my weight loss to go as steady as the first!

Friday's Firm exercise- Body Sculpt with Jennifer- the lower body work was hard- I may try with the blue box only next time. Part of it may have been I was very tired- it had been an exhusting week- the upper body part was a little easier.

Today was supposed to be a rest day- went to SIL & BIL lake house- but ended up going for a 2 mile walk - some of it pretty steep- so I got my cardio in after all.

I'll be picking up my 2 week exercise clippie in the morning.

Total Sculpt is a tough video! Way to go!!:Pinkbounc I read your post on the FIRM thread and I have to agree with what you said about Jen. She is all business when it comes to exercise. She is not as motivating as Lisa and Allie are. Maybe, that's why she has such great arms: she takes working out too seriously!;) :teeth: Seriously, it took me awhile to get used to her, but she's okay now.

Keep up the good work, Julie!

Hmm.. well Tracy, you know I want her arms- so I better get serious too!:teeth: I'm sure she will grow on me, I really want to work the upper body of that tape into my rotation.

Tonight- the family went on a long walk, probably longer than usual coz we were all tired from yesterday. DS was slower than usual and I hung back with him. The back of my legs got a bit sunburned yesterday- I didn't re- apply sunscreen enough I guess, and that part of my body has not seen the sun for many years!:crazy: :teeth: So I was happy to slow the pace down a bit.

Decided I didn't want to skip a Firm workout- so I did Absculpt with Lisa Kay.

I have a new lb clippie this week- yea! :Pinkbounc and my 2 week exercise clippe:bounce: , so off to a good start for me this week!
 
Posting exercise for 7/12- Firm workout was Cardio Sculpt with Allie. I am getting better at the cardio routines- don't stumble over my feet quite so much. :teeth: On the Firm thread, one of the girls said she could do the moves in her sleep- can't wait till I get that good at it.:Pinkbounc

I have been reading about having protein after a workout, and I know I'm not doing any heavy lifting -although I did break out the 5lb weigths for a couple of exercises. :hyper: I do end up low on points some days, and I am sure I am lower on protein intake than I should be. I think I am going to see if I can get a small bottle of something and try it out. Does anyone have experience with this?

Ok updating the exercise before I forget
Tues night- Did Cardio Sculpt with Allie again- I was tired and just didn't think I could do justice to Body Sculpt. It should have been a treadmill night- but I needed the encouragement of a group workout. :hyper:

Tonight- Wednesday- I am taking a rest day. My Mom & sister are on their way back thru to my sister's house- and they are watching TV in my "exercise room". Also known as the living room.:teeth: It was time for a rest day anyway- so I'll be all fresh tomorrow.

I am just amazed at all you've done since you've started here! I was just reading through some of your posts since it's been a while since I've checked journals out. WOW.. You are doing so great and you deserve a rest day! You're my hero! :hyper:
 
Ohh a busy couple of days- haven't had a chance to check it-
Hey Desiree- good to see ya again! Thanks for the support! Don't know about hero:o LOL. I feel I am on my "second half" to my original goal, and I find myself not eating as good. I know the exercise is definatelty helping, as well as encouragement from my "wish" buddies"!

Hey Tracy- good to hear from you too!

I didn't get any Firm workouts in the end of this week.:( But Thursday was an hour walk with the family :sunny:. Then Friday the kids and I spent 10 hours at Six Flags over Georgia, and that was one heck of a workout! The back of my legs were still sore on Sat! At least if offset the food I ate- Lunch was a 1/2 bag of popcorn and dinner was a burnt cheeseburger and some fries- maybe about 10. But we had loads of fun, and with school starting soon -Aug 9- gotta get the summer fun in fast.

Sat was a rest day (legs still sore!)- but I got a new Firm tape- Firm Abs with Nancy- So I'm thinking of trying Calorie Killer and
Firm Abs tonight - double dose of Nancy! I'm 1lb away from a new clippie so gotta pump up the energy! We'll see how it goes!:teeth:
 
Quick exercise check in- Last night ended up going for an hour walk with the family- so just did upper body part of Body Sculpt with Jen.
Woke up this morning with a stomach virus- so today is a rest day. :(
 
Oh - I lost about 4 lbs from that stomach virus- lets see if they are still gone by Sunday. :hyper:

I felt better on Tues so did Cardio Sculpt with Allie, I tried some weights with the leg presses. That didn't work out too well, my left knee was sore the next day. Hope this just means I need to wait awhile and not a sign of things to come!

Wed 40 mins on the treadmill.

Thurs -let DS ride his bike and I walked/jogged (not much) behind him for about 45 minutes to the local school and back.

Friday (tonight) Body Sculpt with Jen. That tape is still so hard for me! I feel very weak tonight- I had to use 1/2 the fanny lifter for the 2nd part of the leg lifts!

That's 5 days of exercise for me again this week, will probably do another Firm tape tomorrow. Get to roll over the exercise clippie on Sunday Yeah!
 
Last week was not a very good exercise week- only 3 days so I won't be moving my exercise clippie.:( But I am still doing good on watching my points so the scale has moved down again- I'm about another pound away from a new clippie. We had company again this week so I got a off track- but its a new month and a new week- so getting remotivated!

I think we are in the same boat. I only worked out three times last week and the scale showed it. Plus, I ate way off program (stress eating) so I am hoping to get back OP this week.::yes::
