Julie, John and Joshua go to Florida: pre-trip - update post49

im glad your holiday went so well :cool1:

I would also love to see some pics (especially THAT photo ) :rotfl2:

Really pleased to hear that everything went well.
We have used the GAC on our last 2 trips and can't believe we ever managed without it. It certainly took away a lot of the 'meltdowns' that we come to expect when queuing for certain things.
Looking forward to seeing some pics.
Will you be planning another trip anytime soon??

I'm so glad the 3 of you had such a great time :) Its a shame Joshua hurt his shoulder but hey - better to ppen at the end of the holiday rather than the start

And to become a celebrity out there in such a short time is very impressive :rotfl2:

Really sorry to hear you wont be around on here anymore - all the best for the future

Just to answer a couple of questions, as far as our future holiday plans go we are not sure.
Due to complications with school arrangments on Julie's teaching role I can't see us having the choice of going at Easter again - which would mean back to summer time for us.
Whether we will go next year I honestly don't know, with the rising costs plus the pure fact we have been so many times now, it could be an every 2 years holiday from now on....but we have talked briefly about August 2010 so who knows. :)
We can afford to but it's a question of if we want to again really, especially given the high prices....bearing that in mind we had a good look *and took lots of photos* of the Grand Floridian Resort!

I haven't posted hardly at all this year on the DIS (for a few reasons), though I do play a part on the disABILITIES forum where I obviously have an interest.

Still not sure about doing a full trip report to be honest but below at least you have a photo to look at. Once again thanks for the good times and support over the years.

Thanks for posting John and it is a lovely photo.

It is a shame you may be forced back into the summer holidays if you decide to go again as I remember you saying Julie and Joshua are not keen on the hot humid weather. However, as you say you have been many times so may feel like a break. Holidays are fun wherever you go, I just enjoy all my family being together.

I found TCD quite 'cheap' for next year's holiday but you cannot upgrade to PE for Joshua which would be a problem. The GF looks a lovely resort and so handy for MK.

It's a shame you don't want to post here any more, I have enjoyed reading your advice and especially gained a greater insight into autism which I never had before.

I would welcome a trip report but know they are very time consuming so I appreciate your comments you have made already.

I wish you and yours every happiness.

Bev:hug:

Lovely photo John, sorry to hear you won't be posting any more. Who will be able to answer my villa questions :confused3. Hope you all enjoyed Terra Verde.

Take Care

Thanks for the update and the lovely picture of your young man :) Glad that the holiday worked out well (bar the shoulder) and that you had the assistance that you needed.

I hope Julie will continue to post and keep us updated on Joshua.

Best wishes to you all and thank you x

Thanks for posting the pic-it's great :thumbsup2.Take care the 3 of you.x.

Thanks for the picture and glad to see you all had a great time. Sad to see you go wish the three of you well in the future.

Good to hear you may go in August 2010 as I think, hope, pray that we will be there then. It's either there or South Africa and I'd much rather swelter in good old Disney than be in the bush with not a hint of a shop, although it is boiling then!

Am doing my absolute best to try and persuade my family that South Africa is not an option! I will so need my Disney fix by then.

Lovely photo of Joshua

So pleased you had a great family holiday :grouphug:

As for not being a round in the future - never say never ;)
Thanks for all your contributions over the years

Thanks, dunno about the hug Tim - think a 'high five' would be more appropriate for a 'guy thing' !

As for posting again, you never know, I am open to offers or bribes for an unexpected return. ;)

Johnny thank for sharing that great photo of your little man at Animal Kingdom.
I'm sure you have many more wonderful memories :)
