Judy, I'm thinking of you and hoping all is going well. Glad to hear DH is joining you on low-carb but if you find induction is too stressful right now, you might want to just work on cutting out the sugar & white flour and doing a modified, more easy-going low-carb with lots of meat, veggies and a small amount of whole grains and fruit. It doesn't have to be induction or nothing.
Just wanted to let you know i am alive and well. Things have been so hectic. First son's wedding in March. Then oldest daughters wedding in May. In June my hubby decided to retire after 27 years in the military. Time to move. We have relocated to............ Orlando. Woooo Hooooo Youngest daughter is registered for school and starts Monday. I started working last week. I am managing another Subway store. Hubby is my stay at home Cabana Boy. We are to broke right now for new annual passes but are enjoying lots of free things to do at Disney.
Now it is time to get focused back on the weight loss. I have started swimming laps in the pool but i am not being regular about it. Some is still better than none. It's good to see so many of you old timers still here. I hope to chat with you soon.
Welcome back! It is so good to hear from you! It does sound like you have been super busy. I hope that life has returned to a more relaxed pace for you.
Plus, you live in Orlando now. You are so lucky!!! You get to see and whenever you want. I know that you don't have APs yet, but it must be fun to go to DTD and cruise the resorts when you need a Disney "fix".
I am so glad to hear that you and your family are doing well. Take good care of you!
I have decided to skip the diets and to just to be smarter about what i eat. I am going to try to reduce fat and carbs. Lots of fruit and vegi's. Sounds good to me. I think this is a more reasonable goal. At least for now.
Thanks for dropping by Tracy - Hope you are also doing well.
And leave you all I did. I have been gone about a year. In that time I have had 2 kids get married. My husband retired after 27 years in the Air Force. We moved to Orlando. I got a job at WDW.
Whew - It has been a busy year. I also quit my diet and exercise. I fell in love with 3 pound bags of dark chocolate M&M's. I have never been heavier. Soooooooooooo I am ready to get back to business. My husband and I have decided not to diet but rather do a complete lifestyle change. The cabinets were cleaned out a few weeks ago. We joined Bally's again. I hired a personal trainer for 10 sessions to get me back in a good routine. But what I really need is the support of my Dis friends. I realised that you are as much a part of my program as everything else. I missed you guys. Even better - I may be able to see you when you come to WDW. I guess I can't join the "walk to Disney" challenge since it is only 21 miles. I will find other things to participate in like the exercise programs. I also need to rejoin the under 200 club - my first goal.
Here is the ugly truth...
Starting 5/23/05 225/160 mini goal 199
Thanks for letting me air all my laundry - I feel better and more motivated already.
It's so good to hear from you! I am so excited for you: you live in Orlando and you get to work at WDW! You must be on
You have had a lot of changes in the past year: 2 kids married, your DH's retirement, and a move to Florida. Whew! That's a lot! The great thing is that now you are ready to get back on program and guess what? Your WISH friends are here and ready to help you because we all know that you CAN and WILL meet your goals. Go Judy!
Worked 12 hours last night in Ft Wilderness. I brought lots of good snacks and coffee to keep me awake and fed. I seem to get extra hungry from 8 pm to 12 midnight. I work 3p to 3a tonight at MGM so another day of no exercise. grrrrrrrrrr It takes alot of time to bag and pack healthy snacks. Thanks Tracy for your support. Maybe I'll see you when you come down. hagd ev1 Judy
Worked 12 hours at MGM yesterday. Got home at 4 this morning. Boy were the parks crowded. Back to work at 3. No exercise again today. Good thing I love
Sounds like you have a busy work schedule! If you don't mind me asking, can you tell us what your job is at WDW? I've always told DH that I want to move to Florida and work at WDW and I would love to hear about your job!
I hope you have a great week ahead! Take care, Judy!
Thanks for stopping by Tracy. I drive a bus at WDW. I love what I do and it doesn't mess with the magic inside the parks.
Didn't feel well at work last night so I came home. I was in bed by 8 pm. Did not get up until 11 this morning. I feel better. I ate junk for dinner last night. Back on track today. Working again tonight 5 - 130. Another day of no exercise.
Judy
