I finally have some time to work on my report. It's been tough getting back into work and back to reality. Here is my...
Glad I did....
1. Upgraded to a Wishes Wedding.
I am so glad that I was fortunate enough to be able to afford the upgrade to a Wishes Wedding. Originally I was having an Escape and I would have been happy with that too but the extra service and assistance on the day of the wedding that this upgrade brought us was well worth it. I was going to be close to the Wishes anyway with the Escape, a dinner and dessert party. Spending the extra money was easy.
2. The dessert party at Epcot.
It was such fun time and my guests really enjoyed it. Being ushered from back stage to UK Loch Side was fun too. I enjoyed seeing some of the backstage. The walk from the backstage entrance to the DP site does make you feel pretty special. Somebody near the Rose and Crown saw us just after we entered and commented on what great costumes we had. I'm not sure what characters they thought we were

But if you think about it Steve was in his kilt and we were in the UK. The dessert party treats were yummy! It was the right ending for our day.
3. Eliminated the appetizer and not having any pre-reception food.
I contemplated some sort of pre-reception food for my guests while DH and had photo's taken and thought they/we might miss the appetizer but it ended up being just right. We were not stuffed, everyone cleared their plates and still enjoyed the dessert party.
4. Had all our hair and make-up done professionally.
I loved Ana and her staff. I paid for the ladies to get their hair and makeup done as it was too much to ask them to pay over $100 each. It was such a bonding time and we all loved how we all looked on the day and in the photos.
5. Set up the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for the young ladies.
They were both Wedding Princesses and it would have been hard to try and match up dresses for one young lady from England and another from Indiana. It gave them their own special experience and the photos they have from the boutique are so precious. They were free to choose any princess and they did a great job.
6. Had a private reception.
The Whitehall Room was more beautiful in person. With such a small group and when we were an Escape we were looking at a restaurant. The private room allowed us to fully relax; we did some silly dancing and had some banter without being self conscious. The iPod worked out great too. The staff at the GF were wonderful.
7. Mickey and Minnie.
They were such a hit and a surprise to everyone. Even my Father-in-law was close to tears when they came in. I wanted to have Mary Poppins and Bert but I thought of my guests and Mickey and Minnie were just more of a fit. They were so playful I am so glad I changed.
Wish I didn't....
This is so hard for me. I loved everthing I did and for the size and type of wedding we had there isn't much I would change...
1. Bought flowers for the pre-reception tables.
The pre-reception tables were outside on the patio and it was just too hot no one went outside apart from the one or two smokers. They were beautiful though but not worth the money looking back.
2. Bar at the dessert party.
This is a stretch and not that much of regret but to be honest not many people drank any alcohol we could have just had a soda package along with the tea and coffee for the 1 to 1 ½ hour we were there. No one would have missed it. This is funny to coming from a London Girl as we do love a little tipple. Thought this might be helpful if anyone was looking to save some money
Wish I did....
1. Keepsake Floral
I loved my flowers. Even Randy Chapman commented on them and I assume he has seen a lot of bouquets. I wish now that I had used the keepsake floral and been able to look at a representation of them at home each day for years to come. I'm kicking myself now.
