Juan says "BAAAA!" - 12/24 - Our last few Disney hours. COMPLETE

Henry looks like he is really enjoying himself at Disney this trip. He seems more involved if that makes sense? It's cute to see!

One WS country!?! :lmao: That is crazy but it was a short trip so those things happen!

I love little boy belly laughs! He looks like he's having a great time!

Great update!

Call me here pretty soon when you are on your way to the hospital with Henry to get stitches above his eye because he was jumping off the bed/porch/barn/rooftop. :rotfl: I will come and sit with you. ;)

Oh my, Memom. Sounds like Trent kept you busy! I can remember my grandma answering the phone with my Aunt J on the other line. It usually began something like "What did he break/do now", followed by "What! How did he do that". It was always G. It usually involved a bike or a makeshift motorcycle jump or the swimming pool or a skate board. And any of the above in any combination. The one that really sticks in my mind is the day he rode his bike down the hill, over a jump and into the swimming pool.

Brook, Henry is too cute! Looking forward to the rest of your TR.

I've been away, but I'm all caught up! :thumbsup2 I think!! lol
Awww... I love the pics of H in the aquarium... It brings back a special childhood memory for me- On one trip when I was very little we were in Epcot and my mom told me I could pick the next ride, any one I wanted. I told her "I want to see the fishies that swim in air" :rotfl:

Great update :) I am glad he loves Nemo, bet the ride will be even better for him on your next trip :)

Love the pics of Mexico and the ride. Can't believe poor Donald has ended up as a pinata!

I think he'll get really excited when we ride Nemo this time - and ANY turtle he sees prompts a "Cha dude!" from him. :rotfl: Turtle Talk will be a blast!

That strawberry shortcake is wonderful, isn't it?? :goodvibes I am thinking we might give Sunshine Seasons a pass this time - nodnol and I really agreed about wanting to eat outside as much as possible (hoping for brilliant sunshine of course! :goodvibes) and the atmosphere at Sunshine is not really the greatest.

Even if you did only manage only one WS country it sounds like you still had a lot of fun there! Loved the pics of Henry with the tiny hats! Can it be that he thinks of himself as so much smaller than you that of course he needs a tiny hat as compared to his parents' hat size? I thought that was very sweet that he kept trying them on! :goodvibes

I like the idea of trying to eat outside - gotta soak up that sun! Hopefully the weather will agree with your plans. I don't mind the atmosphere of Sunshine Seasons overall, but it can be very loud and working you way through the maze of tables with a tray - plus your bags (and in our case a toddler too!) can be interesting. Maybe you can just swing through and pick up the strawberry shortcake. ;)

We did have a great time in Mexico! It's a beautiful pavilion. I think just now Henry is starting to grasp the differences in sizes - though he still doesn't quite understand why a big action figure guy can't fit in his matchbox cars...

Have you done a Cruise yet?
If you think WDW is addicting-don't do a cruise it will become your next obsession.

We love the Nemo ride and me and my dh can spend an hour in the aquarium.
I read you thought the gnome was around $18.99,
but what shop is it in.
644175607_hY3iL-M.jpg

We haven't done a cruise yet! We are booked for the Podcast Cruise 2.0 in December 2010 though. I really hope we are able to save the necessary money so we can do it! I've seen that cruise special, and watched the planning DVD a dozen times, so nothing is new - but man! it just looks awesome!!!!

I found that Mickey Gnome in the shop in The Land, it's kinda between Sunshine Seasons and the entrance to Soarin'.

Those pictures of Henry laughing in front of the aquariums are priceless. He looks like he is having so much fun! Also love the ones of him in the sombreros- too cute:)

Thank you! I really like the aquarium ones too-even though they are blurry. You can still see his big grin and how much fun he was having!

Yes, and the pork chops, although now that I've tasted a Kona pork chop, that one is not quite as memorable. Still good, though. We've never not had good chicken there.

You don't want me to start listing injuries. It would frighten you away from ever trying to have another child on the chance that it, too, would be a boy.

Let's just say a lot of doctors know us on a personal basis. When your Christmas to-do list reads
Dec. 24 - ortho doctor for cast removal
at the top, well...

Somewhere among my thousands of pictures, there is one of Trent with a broken wrist cast and a broken foot cast at the same time from two different high school games as the seasons overlapped (one from basketball and one from soccer). I have seen more of the insides of both boys bodies enough to have a minor degree as some kind of physician, I'm quite sure. There are some interesting  things inside there. :rotfl:

Call me here pretty soon when you are on your way to the hospital with Henry to get stitches above his eye because he was jumping off the bed/porch/barn/rooftop. :rotfl: I will come and sit with you. ;)

:rotfl2: Oh, they have kept you on their toes, haven't they???? My brother was very similar when he was a little guy - cut his head open, concussions, poured gas in his eye, almost bit off his tongue by taking a little trike down the slide, etc. etc. etc!

I'm not looking forward to all that...but I know it's just part of being a MOM. Helps build that trust in God that he will take care of us, eh?

It does make sense, and I totally agree! Joe and I both said that all throughout the trip. He was very involved and had opinions on what to do! It was really fun to see him interact and get really interested rather than sitting back and taking it all in.

Our time in Epcot was very limited - you'll see why soon. :goodvibes We never really had plans to not go back to the WS, but it just never happened...

Great update!

I agree, one of my favorite sounds is a belly laugh from a little one - they are such a wonderful sound!! :lovestruc

Oh goodness - there is no avoiding the boy adventures and resulting injuries is there? I need to toughen up!!! :rotfl2:

I last left off as we were heading to Test Track. Both Joe and I were surprised Henry had not yet crashed out for his daily nap, but were confident he would nap while we took turns on Test Track. And we really hoped he would - we had the Wishes Dessert Party later that night and we wanted him in a good mood for it.

Off to Test Track! Before we went on the ride, we stopped at the Cool Spot - the place I noticed from the monorail that I had never seen before. It was HOT and we were itchin' for something cool to drink.

Joe was smart and got a water,

644167827_P3DCs-M.jpg

I was silly and got a frozen Coke.

644172371_Es6TN-M.jpg

But what a divine frozen Coke that was! We all enjoyed the misting air - and Henry really loved that there was a giant car in the middle of it all!

644172367_W8WBj-M.jpg

After a short while, Joe went on to Test Track first while I waited with Henry and finished my Coke. We opted to use the Single Rider Line this time because the wait was 5 minutes. :yay:

During my wait, Henry started to act sleepy and his eyes were getting heavy. Then suddenly, completely out of the blue-he perked right back up and wanted a snack.

No napping yet! I complied with the snack and we people watched.

Joe was back pretty quickly, so off I went. It was literally a walk-on! I went straight through the Single Rider Line and was swooped into a preview room just before the doors closed, :woohoo:

While I rode, Joe and Henry played in the cars, and that is where I met up with them.

He kept going back to this computer monitor display because of this:

Never mind the REAL cars all over the showroom....:rotfl:

While the boys played with the cars, Momma did some shopping and purchased an Epcot t-shirt....picture coming at the end of the day.

Next we went into Innoventions. I was hoping to run into some of the fun things I read about here on the DIS, like the "put yourself in a video game", but instead we saw THIS:

644171331_dg8TZ-M.jpg

And there was no leavin' that fire truck for a while!

Henry thoroughly enjoyed pushing all the buttons, pulling on the knobs, switching the switches.

Making truck noises

We found the little house that was nearby-I believe for a fire safety exhibit, and we allowed Henry to pretty much lead us through.

He quickly found the bed and laid down...

644160805_nUaTU-M.jpg

All stretched out with McQueen next to him-just like at home!

Looks like he could just stay there a while doesn't it?!

We let him be for a few minutes...wondering if he would fall asleep -but NOPE! Soon he popped up, ready for more.

So, where to next? We have time for one more ride before we needed to head out of the park...Spaceship Earth!

Both Joe and I really like this ride. We are history geeks, and even better technology history geeks! And, believe it or not, the ride has never stopped on us...that I recall anyway.

I fully planned on taking the flash picture across from the caveman scene to reveal what was hidden on that wall - but I forgot to turn the camera to the flash mode and was fumbling around in the dark and completely missed it. :headache:

However, I did snag a shot of our good friend:
644178466_Pg4Eu-M.jpg

And MEK did get this picture on her trip! Click HERE to see it if you are curious and haven't read her report yet!

644170985_nm5MM-M.jpg

This is our favorite scene. (we are SUCH dorks!) This is supposed to be Steve Wozniak working in his garage inventing the computer. (He and Steve Jobs invented it). We were psyched when we realized that Steve Wozniak was represented instead of Steve Jobs because Woz sometimes doesn't get as much credit as Jobs - and if you happen to know our last name, we are partial to the "Wozniak". ;)

It was right about here that I noticed Henry was sound asleep on me. Snoring. He was out! :thumbsup2 (I've read SE is a popular napping place at WDW, seems Henry tends to agree!)

Our future came up, this time the computer grabbed Joe and Henry - it was very cute! Unfortunately, my pictures didn't come out the best.

Joe sippin' coffee. This is pretty current actually.

I like this part of the ride too when you are about done and can see everyone's monitors...it just looks cool.

We managed to get off the ride and to the stroller without Henry waking up. This little boy was pooped.

A quick glance at my favorite fountain

Now it was time to head over to the Dolphin for our unplanned ADR with two unexpected guests!

Next up: Dress code....HA!

I have never seen that firetruck. How cool for little boys who love stuff like that! I'm glad Henry was able to catch a nap. Your frozen coke looks yummy!

We've not done Innoventions in years...we keep saying we're going to stop and we keep forgetting. Henry looks like he was having a grand time with the fire truck.

Frozen coke=yum! With 2 young boys, we would not be able to resist the fire truck either. Fun stuff!

I think the firetruck is pretty new - maybe just within this last year?

I was really glad Henry took a nap, usually he really well behaved, even if he just gets in a short nap. I knew we would be out late that night, so a nap was necessary!

Innoventions, for some reason, is easy to forget about. I guess the lure of the big attractions and the World Showcase get me! I had purposely marked it down for this trip knowing we would appreciate the cool air and Henry would love running around in there. :thumbsup2

The coke was delicious! Even though I should have gotten water, the Coke hit the spot for a while.

The fire truck had so many switches and levers, and lights! It was very cool.

I'm with ya on the frozen Coke - yum!!

I love the picture of Henry on his little tip toes trying to look at that car in the Cool Spot - little cutie!

We've never been into Innoventions - hoping to remedy that in a couple of weeks :thumbsup2

your post was quite appropriate today....as i had a little boy who would not take an afternoon nap...and he managed to stay up until almost 8pm when normally he cannot stay up past 7pm! Good to know that SSE is a good napping place...course my child is not one who will nap while other people are holding him...he has to be by himself and in a bed...must get that from his mommy and daddy...lOL!

You don't want me to start listing injuries. It would frighten you away from ever trying to have another child on the chance that it, too, would be a boy.

I have a aunt who had 3 boys. They lived in a town with 3 hospitals. She rotated which emergency room they visited out of fear someone would report them to Child Welfare Services :lmao:

Frozen Cokes are so tasty at Disney!!! Mmmm!!!

Little boys and their firetrucks!!! Always a fun place to hang out. :thumbsup2

Henry does look like he could sleep the day away in that bed.

Now it was time to head over to the Dolphin for our unplanned ADR with two unexpected guests!

Next up: Dress code....HA!

I'm really interested to hear what you have to say about the Dolphin. I am going with my dh in Feb. to his convention. We are staying 2 nites at his convention over in Orlando, but I get 2 nites to pick, to stay somewhere. I want to be in the Boardwalk area, but rooms are really expensive for the weekend, OP and if I rented points from someone, so I am thinking of maybe staying at the Swan or Dolphin. So get that next cliff hanger up.

Did I ask you about Thief River Falls in MN? My spelling could be wrong, I don't know if it is Thieves, Thief or Three

I love the picture of Henry having fun with the firetruck! You can really tell by the impression on his face how much fun he is having.

I think it is wonderful that you can enjoy watching your son playing with something which isn't so special that you had to come to WDW for and that you don't feel like you have to drag him on one ride to the other because that's what you paid your money for! :goodvibes I am afraid if I was a mom, I wouldn't be the ideal candidate to take a toddler, I would lack a lot of your patience! :rolleyes1 :goodvibes

Awww...Henry looked so adorable playing on the fire truck!!! What fun!!!!

Frozen cokes are so yummy!! I love them!!!!

Spaceship Earth is another one of my faves I just love it!! Glad it was able to help Henry get to sleep!!!:rotfl2:

I always try to get at least 1 frozen coke when in WDW. I don't have these around here.
