Juan says "BAAAA!" - 12/24 - Our last few Disney hours. COMPLETE

The next morning we woke up a bit earlier than normal so we would have ample time to wrap up our packing and check-out. We weren't exactly sure what we wanted to do that morning, a park? Relax at the resort?

Then Joe said the magic words:

"Let's go to the Poly for coffee."



He didn't need to ask me twice!

I also elaborated on the plan and suggested we hit Cap'n Cooks for breakfast. He seconded it.

Our plan was made. We quickly wrapped up things in the room, and we snapped more pictures - of course!

And I've been meaning to say, KatMark, feel free to take any/all for the CSR thread. I have wanted to get over there to share, but just haven't carved out the time yet - so please do if you'd like!!!

And it was about this time I realized I never once stepped foot in

!!!!

Joe had. He actually visited Panchito's a few times - once was to get aloe for the sunburn he suffered from since our day at the pool. Poor guy. But, I am thinkin' he won't forget the sunscreen again!

We took our bags over to Bell Services

And then we decided we would take either a MK bus, or an Epcot bus, whichever showed up first

Epcot bus won

Monorail over to the TTA

and we opted to walk to the Poly since we wanted to see more of the grounds there anyway. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

And soon we were at Cap'n Cooks. Being the geeks we are, we found the ordering system quite entertaining.

Adult platter for me:

Eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuit, potatoes.

I don't think I need to say who was excited about this!

We just love this resort!!

I always seem to get extra camera happy on our last day, trying to capture every bit of Disney detail to take home with me...

We soon arrived at the coffee bar

I ordered a normal cup of Kona coffee, I was completely "blissed out" as PPP would say!

With cup in hand a permanent grin on my face, we headed over to MK. We had 2 things on our list:

1) Use our snack credits
2) Find the "4 Parks, 1 World" CD

Henry got a sticker at bag check - a Mickey security guard one!

I love dipping into MK on our last day as a way to say good-bye

As you can see in the above picture, the parade was wrapping up (or just beginning based on the time?) a bunch of CMs were BUSTING A GROOVE to the music, it was so much fun to watch them!

The front CM there really got into it-she was awesome!

We ventured into the Confectionery to use up those snack credits

Usually it's HENRY'S hands grabbing sweets in pictures...

I thought of Heidi when I saw this

Snack credits used, we headed back out onto Main Street and dipped into a few stores looking for the CD....but we came up empty handed! We were bummed because we REALLY wanted it! Perhaps we will find it this trip...

As we saw this and walked through the exit we said "Yes you will!"

I just couldn't stop taking pictures...must capture every ounce of magic!

Back to CSR

Henry had completely konked out on the bus

He had not done, what we call the "karate chop" hand, in a LONG time! Babies, for some reason unknown to me, do that when they sleep - Henry had lost it a long time before this trip, so we loved seeing it again - he must have been POOPED!

And quickly back in through the lobby.

It was time for the bus to arrive. As much as we hoped it wouldn't come, it did. The Magical Depress (who thought of that? Genius!) arrived and we boarded.

We were at MCO before we knew it. Almost every trip we have eaten at MCO as a way to pass the time, we chose Ramano's Macaroni Grill again this time - we love it there. Yum.

As we waited for our food I realized we never did a "Not so Hidden Mickey" at a meal! So...

Joe ordered a pizza

And I ordered a soup and salad combo

Henry ate off our plates.

Everything was DELICIOUS!!

There was no drama with the plane this trip. It arrived. We boarded it. The laptop was pulled out, Cars was put in.

Henry was happy!

And what better way to finish a TR than with yummy snacks?

I ate this on the plane. It was incredible.

Joe ate this on the plane. It was HUGE, and tasty.

Our flight home was simple. All our bags arrived. We didn't hit a deer on the way home this trip either. It was good.

This trip was smooth. Very little drama. I started out with a nasty cold, but it was gone halfway through our day at MK. I thought I was going to be in an ECV, but my foot gave me zero problems - and still hasn't to this day. I thank you very much for your prayers on that, they obviously worked!

We had a great time at CSR, and we would stay there again. We liked the QSDP. It was a pretty good value and worked well for our family. I don't think I would necessarily do any dining plan on a regular basis because it is generally cheaper for us to pay OOP than for the DDP. However, due to the increased prices at CSR, the QSDP did pay for itself this trip. And it was fun to bring home some treats to snack on the next few days.

Tonight we have a Christmas party with the family, then we will drive to my Aunt and Uncle's for Christmas day. We will stay overnight and we fly out on the 26th. It is hard to believe we will be in Florida in just a couple days!

Hi Brook! I LOVE the story of Henry and Juan and then the baaaaaa noise! I am sitting here at the computer laughing and my DS is looking at me like I've lost it! Good job with your title!
So you guys are in the "yay! we are going to Disney in hours (you can really say hours now!)"! You are going to have such a great time down there with all of the Christmas decorations. I hope the snow isn't a bother and you can get down to the magic without a wait in the airport.

I am VERY much looking forward to the sun and warmth. It's almost 30 degrees here, which is actually warm for December, but just to go outside and not shiver.... And the snow hasn't stopped for about 24 hours now. It's coming down pretty lightly though, so its easy to shovel and not nearly as bad as I expected!

Hi Brook - just wanted to say how much I enjoy your TR and have been thinking about your upcoming trip as I look outside my windows and see the storm we are having. We are only about 6 hours from Minneapolis up here in Canada and I know that you are having quite the storm yourselves. Hope your travels turn our okay as I know that all of our flights from Winnipeg into Minneapolis have been delayed with no departure times in sight. My husband works at the airport and he has been called in to work from 7 tonight until 7 in the morning and then again on Christmas Day. Soooo our Christmas has been turned inside out.
