Joe suggested we go see what we could see of the pool. I told him it was behind a gate and we would need a room key to get in.
Pretty flowers on the way to the pool. Ignore the dead one in the upper left.
Well, lookie here! How convenient.
Shhhh .dont tell, k?
Looking back toward the resort from the pool area. Perhaps one of these will be our room in December! One thing that is odd is you have to walk near parking/roadway to get to the pool, I suppose it's because of how the savannahs stretch pretty much all the way around the resort.
Along the sidewalk
Light fixture at the pool bar
Like the lobby, I had read the pool itself was small and many people were under-whelmed by the entire area.
Once again, not me!
We both thought the pool was certainly large enough-its not Jambo House large, but that is the largest pool on property, so I didnt expect it to match.
See the stroller in the pic? There are a few shallow stairs to go down to get to the pool area. The ramp for wheelchairs/ECVs is along the edge of the back fence-you have to go waaaaaay out of the way to avoid the stairs. Kinda annoying if you are in a wheelchair.
The little slide
The other side of the pool
Granted, it was a slow season, so I might have a changed mind on the size come our NYE trip if its swimming weather .
We then found the little tots play area. What a GREAT area! They have a cool playground built right next to the splash zones and the kiddy pool. The kiddy pool is more like a kiddy puddle, its puny-but it is zero entry which allows the kids to run in and out of it, and all over the area without slowing down.
Which is exactly what Henry did before we could even think twice! We had taken Henry out of his stroller to explore and play a bit on the playground,
but he found that water even more inviting .
He had never run through a splash pad like this before, it always intimidated him a bit and hed stick his hand in or get really close and then run away. This was full on I want to get soaked fun.
