Hi All,
I didn't know where else to go so I thought I would start here on my great DIS boards. I am just curious if there are any other Joyce Meyer fans out there. I just love this woman, she is just in your face, tell it like it is, and she knows what she speaks, she has lived through it all. I just last month attened my first Joyce conference in Hershey, PA and it was wonderful, so just thought this would be a great place for fans to gather and talk and share stories. I would really like to be able to see Joyce at one of her book signing tours at some point. Share away.

Well hello!!! Oh yes, I have been watching Joyce off & on for years. I am from Missouri and she is based in Fenton Missouri.

I keep saying her name here on the boards but have not gotten any signs of life, yet, until YOU!

She has pulled me out of alot of dark places and into the light. I wish everyone would give her a chance she is GREAT.

This is great, I am so glad that I actually got some response, I wasn't sure if I would or not. Do you know of any other boards that talk about Joyce Meyer, like message type boards, I am just curious. Feel free to PM me if you do.

Yes, Joyce is amazing. She has lifted me out of many dark places too. And the best part is she knows because she has been there. I record her show each day and watch it and rewatch it.

Have you ever attended one of her conferences?? They are amazing, I highly recomend going to one if you ever can.

So you live in MO?? That is so cool, I would love to take a trip there and be able to visit the headquarters, I heard they have tours, that is pretty cool, I hope to be able to do that someday, have you ever done that? Just curious.

Please keep in touch, I hope that we can get a group of us that really like Joyce and can just start a great thread here.

I just loooooove Joyce! She "keeps it real", and that's what everyday people need. I saw that she was going to be in Hershey. I don't really like big crowds, so I decided not to attend. But I do enjoy her on tv. She 'breaks it down like a fraction". Praise the Lord!

She's wonderful! During a time our son struggled with some spritual questions and concerns... we reached out to several ministries for help. Joyce Meyer's ministry on both occasions, was the first to respond... and with very real very tangible, very down to Earth answers. She's been a blessing to this family on many many occasions.

I actually just started listening to her on a podcast. I love her! You're right....she's very real and down to earth. And I dont' feel like she's preachy at all b/c she's been through a LOT it sounds like so her wisdom comes from God and experience.

I listened to one about having a positive attitude and it was so right on. I've started it over again and am listening in the car hoping that dd (12) picks some things up subliminally. I, typically, am a pretty upbeat person who looks at the bright side. Dd, on the other hand can be very down---her favorite saying is "it's not fair." I'm tired of saying "deal with it...it's LIFE.....life isn't fair." Dd likes things HER way and if they don't go her way she can quickly become nasty.....and she tries to bring other down with her. So I'm hoping the Joyce Meyer podcasts open her eyes a bit.....and maybe coming from someone other than MOM will help.

My son and I watch Joyce EVERY day, even on vacation!!! We've been partners for 8 years and love her!

Funny story. Joyce was coming to Atlanta and my son, 6 at the time, wanted to see her BAD!! We went one Saturday morning and he was shaking he was so thrilled! When they had the altar call my son asked me if he could go to the stage, he just wanted to be close to her. I let him go.

He marched up to the stage with a bunch of adults. Everyone just screamed "look, a little boy!" He walked straight up towards her and she just STARED at him the whole time. I wondered why? Well, he got his bible and came back to his seat. Everyone was so impressed, everyone but me because I knew the kind of kid he is!

Afterwards, Joyce's husband, Dave was at the tape table and stopped Michael to speak to him. Michael yelled, "Hey You're Joyce's Husband!!" He said, "No she's MY WIFE"! Everybody laughed.

He bent down to speak to him and said "I saw you go up there, man. So nice that you want to know the Lord." Michael reared back and said as clear as a bell "Dave, I've ALWAYS known the Lord.."

He got a standing ovation!!

I will NEVER forget that day!

Later on I found out in one of her lectures that Joyce always wished her oldest son could've felt that way when he was young. I guess that was why she looked at him that way.

I've always appreciated how she shared her life with us. Her experiences make her so real and so accessible. Plus she reminds me so much of my Mom, who also had a rough childhoold but used it for GOOD. Joyce is one amazing woman.

I love her too!! I went to her conferance when it was in New Orleans a while back...it was wonderful.
The one thing that struck me (seeing her in person) was that she seemed so genuine and kind, like a best friend who loves you warts and all.
I guess that IS what Jesus asks us all to do...love.

I grew up in what is now sunset hills, mo. I went to school with a boy who lived in Joyce's "main" house before she bought it. I recall it being very nice. I can understand why it would be 2 million. If you are in St. Louis, you should go by the corner of Gravois and 270. The white house, up on the hill, with the fountains, etc. is the one I am talking about. I understand all of the houses behind the fence and gates, are part of her complex.

Her ministry does very well. I understand she pulls in more than 100 million a year. "While Meyer's previous salary is unknown, a recent series of investigative articles in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch revealed Meyer's ministry purchased for Joyce and Dave a $2 million home, a $10 million private jet, and houses worth another $2 million for the couple's children, who also work for the ministry. The articles also outlined Meyer's recent personal purchases, including a $500,000 vacation home. Meyer, 60, lives in Fenton, Missouri, near St. Louis."

On one report, she stated that God wanted her to have all the money, and that because of that, it was ok that she spend it.

I understand exactly how your son felt. The first night of her conference in Hershey, we were way up, went with the church and we arrived later then we wanted too. Friday morning I was up early and sat down on the floor went up for praise and worship, and Joyce actually comes out at the very end of the praise and worship and to be that close, oh my gosh, it was so amazing. And I am 33 so I can imagine how your little boy felt, incredible. She is one amazing lady.

I think it will help your DD, that will be neat. Yes she just did some awesome sermons on your attitude, etc, and they were great, it really makes you stop and think about things. I really pray that your DD will pick up on some things. And like you said, it might help hearing it from someone other then Mom.

I am. I grew up in North County. I am also aware of the financial bombs that were dropped 2 years ago.

I live in Texas now. I listen to Joyce and Dr. Laura for what I need out of it. Those 2 together have changed my life, very blunt and powerful, I like that.

I really am not about the religion of it, but I am more of the positive aspect of conducting your life. Joyce really gives some of the most amazing ways to handle places in your life where you need help.

Amazing, I also heard that Britney Spears is worth multi millions and so is Tom Cruise and they've done not a THING to help a human being but entertain (slightly) and disgust them.

It's a business, and yes, like sports idols and hip hop moguls, they make money. I guess that's a bad thing, huh?

I don't think it's a bad thing that she makes money doing what she does. She has worked hard to get where she is now. I'm sure her schedule is quite hectic with tapings and conferences and travel.

I don't think money, in and of itself, is evil. It's what people DO with the money that can be bad. If they are spending it on drugs or porn or things like that, that's not good. I'll bet Joyce Meyer gives a good bit to her church and to other charities (most wealthy ppl do to keep from getting socked with horrible taxes)

The amount of money she makes and what she does with it is not for me to judge. That's between herself and her God.
