Journey into imagination with Figment

We have been going to Disney for 10 straight years and have never gone into the building this ride is in or have never gone on this ride. For some reason I thought it was a movie or simulator ride that made you dizzy. We are going in August and I will bring the kids into the building to look around. Is this ride mellow? Does it make you dizzy? Thanks

I think it's a cute ride, not something to make you dizzy. I was with my 4 year old granddaughter one time when Figment said "I am going to turn your thinking upside down" and Maura asked quite frightened "Are we going upside down?" Well, no. There's a foul smell, brief, but foul.

Figment is a very slow moving ride. It moves at about the speed of Spaceship Earth. It does a tour of your 5 senses using Figment and John Cleese as comedy. To me, it's a young childs' ride, but my kids 12, 9, 9 love it. At the end of the ride, there's a play area where you can do a bunch of different activities for kids. I have been on Figment at least 20 times and have never seen it with more than a 60 second line. Most times, the CMs are standing around waiting for guests to walk up.

Yea it's a gentle kids ride that pretty fun. There's no getting dizzy or anything.

You won't need a FP for it as the line is usually 5 min or less. However every once in a while the line can grow. It's uncommon, but I've seen it with about a 30 min wait a couple times. Longest I've seen it was on NYE it had a 50 min wait.

Also, definitely take the kids on the ride but plan some extra time for the play area at the exit. We easily spent an hour there last trip. Actually, it is where I took my 2 year old anytime we needed to cool off or wait for the older kids while at Epcot!

In all of our trips, we went for the first time in June. My husband and I both got off and thought "What was that?" I guessed we missed the point of the ride. Our 2 and 4 year old loved it though! Guess we will continue to ride it for them!

I agree so much. I still ride so I can see Figment, but I usually find myself thinking about Dreamfinder and what I remember of the original. I have not gone through the play area since the original. Do they still have the stepping tones? I loved those.

This is DD's favorite thing in EPCOT. She loves Figment. We got a FP for it on our last trip, but it wasn't necessary at all. The play area at the end of the ride is great for the kids.

Foul smell is rancid old coffee grounds. It's not so bad if you know what it is.

I find it odd that you've been going to Disney for 10 straight years and never checked it out! You'd think going that often you'd have the time to at least check it out. The explorer in me would have not been able to miss it that many times. But then .. despite DHS being my favorite park and going there as much as MK over the years, I still haven't seen Beauty and the Beast or the Little Mermaid show (though my son checked it out last time with his cousins).

Every attraction at WDW is worth checking out .. at least ONCE.

I agree you should ride it and I agree it's not a good as the original but still worth a ride. My son fell in love with the original when he was little and has had a number of figment figures through the years. The first was a leather one that the dog ate, then we went to a big plush one that got lost somewhere, then a small plush one that another dog ate and our last trip there (in March he is 35 by the way) I bought him a replacement and told him the dog better not eat this one. A small figment sits on my desk at work cause you always need some imagination to get through the day.
