Journey into imagination question

I loved this ride and attraction when I was a teenager but I haven't been to Disney in 10 years and now that I'm going, this book I've got says the ride was changed twice in the last 5 years... Is it all different now? It would help me a lot if I got a responce from someone who remembers the origional ride and how it's different now.

Yes, the ride has changed twice. The original was the best, the second was HORRID and thankfully wasn't there for long. The current version is ok but not as good as the first. Here is a site that may be helpful.

This was one of my favorite rides as a kid and I was so disappointed when they changed it...I did not like the first change at all, and the new change is better like bartleby1 said, but I still like the orginial the best.

I agree the original was the best. Glad they brought back Figment I just wish they would bring back Dreamfinder also. Do visit that website.
It is one of my favs.
They just put a new meet and greet in. I can't wait to take my 3 year old grandson to meet Figment.

Thank you for all your quick responces. I suppose I should be happy I don't have to go on the 1st revision (which apparently everyone hated), but I'll miss the origional. No dreamfinder? Rats! Also, thanks for posting the website... It filled in all my unanswered questions.

I remember riding the original ride on my first and only trip so far to WDW in 1988. I was 7 at the time, and my Mom and I loved riding that ride! We took advantage of low crowds at night, and rode it like 7 times in a row, running through the queing area each time, laughing. I'm headed back this Sept, and I know it won't be like I remember it, but I'm still looking forward to riding it again and getting that wonderful song stuck in my head!

I agree with the others. The original was awesome and one of my favorite rides from the first time I rode it in '83. I love the song!!

When we rode it in December I think there was a room or 2 that was not working right. I hope all the rooms are working by October.
