Journey into Imagination - is Figment Back?

I was in epcot 2 yrs ago with my dh and dd then 2 1/2 and we went on journey into imagination - one of my favorites. Unfortunately, we didn't know they had changed the ride to not only remove figment but to make it basically a dark loud ride and not interesting at all. This caused my dd to not go on ANYTHING in epcot for our entire trip. I had heard they were planning on changing this ride back to include Figment. Can anyone give me details? Is is changed? Is it kid friendly - like it was in the past? Thanks. Planning my trip for September and I want to cross my first thing off my list (of my DH concerns from the last trip).

The ride was very good, 13 of us ranging from 10 on up loved the ride. At the end is a Kodak picture place and you can make the coolest photos. We did one with Pooh and Gang, other family did one with Monsters Inc. They take photos of each member of your family and drop them into the photo and it looks so great.

Yes Figment is back, but they have a dark loud train section. As of July last year.

When we were there in February, Figment was most definitely back. It's not my favourite ride, but it's cute and kid friendly. There is a dark moment or two, but not frightening really.

Yes Figment is back and I might be alone in my opinion but I think the new Journey into Imagination is better than the old one, as a still young person I can say that I was very bored at the old one because of its age and it seemed directed towards older crowds but i like the new scenery with the bright colors and how it runs, I give the new JiI two thumbs up!

SPAM...we are alone together then, because I think the new Figment is better too! We went there in December last year and I really enjoyed this ride!! I always loved Figment anyway, so I was happy to see him back!

Thanks so much everyone - I am glad he is back - he is one of my favorites and was *not* happy about the previous changes. I appreciate knowing the part in the dark with the train whistle is still there - I can at least prepare her and myself for it (so I don't jump and scare her even more).

I'm one of those people who prefer the OLD Journey into Imagination ride. The new one seems to be missing the charm of the old. I admit there are a few good special effects, but I remember riding the old one over and over. Once I got off this new one, I had no desire to repeat it. Although I must admit that I still adore Figment!

The original Jouney into Imagination is definitely the best. Journey into YOUR Imagination was definitely the worst. The newest version, with Figment is a step in the right direction. It is not as good as the original, but a far better improvement over the last "improvement".
