Journey back to ME!!- I'm getting bugged!!

Julie, I've never heard of a Devon Rex but a doglike cat must be adorable - especially a small, quiet one! What you're going thru with your animals sounds almost worse than the guard patrol I do for my teenaged son. Thanks for the review on Yoga Booty Ballet. I've seen the infomercial and wondered what the dvd was like.

Ok, looks like I was last here on Thursday. OUCH!!!

Food has been...ok. Not bad points wise - except on Friday, but not great choices.

Took DD to the bus at 6 a.m Friday for choir festival in Denver, ran errands, took the bug in and they cleaned up a fault in the computer - figured they forgot when they changed the window computer out - NOT!! I was there over 2 hours and they just KNEW it was fixed. Saturday morning 1st thing it was messing up again. GRRRRRRR!!!!!! I take it back in on Thursday.

So, I had no lunch with me and at 2:30 I went thru chick fil a - all I'd had was egg beaters, ff chz & potatos for breakfast at 6:30 a.m.(5 pts) so I ordered a grilled meal complete with fries. Snarfed it down. At 3:30 DH called and said we needed to go eat MEAT since DD was gone and cries if we go to a BBQ place or anything similar. So, DS16 got off work at 4 and we went to dinner....UGH!!! Of course this place we had never been had real breaded pork tenderloin which is the one thing I truly miss about Iowa. I literally ate 4 leaves of lettuce from my caesar salad and 4 bites of tenderloin meat only and was so uncomfortable it was awful. Then the cookie dough attacked later.

Saturday all I did was graze all day and had the rest of my tenderloin for Breakfast. Sunday was the same. Can you say probable PMS????

65 days til I leave for FL and nothing is happening to the mystery weight. It comes & goes. Even worse was I found my journal from this time last year and I'm up 8.5 pounds using the old scale which is what I weighed on last year. SO depressing!!! But the clothes seem to fit the same, so maybe my exercise is doing something, but it sure isn't showing in measurements or scale. SIGH!!!!!!

So, I REALLY need to refocus and regroup. Especially since I'll be spending a good portion of the first 10 days of the trip in a swimsuit - that's SCARY!!!!!

Today's food - for purposes of the journalling challenge, I'll update my food in one post/day:

Breakfast - egg beaters(1), lt bagel(2), ff chz(1),
Lunch - revival soy bar(5)
Snack after gym - skinny cow(2)
Snack #2 - 2 lt bread(1) w a smidge of ff mayo(0) and tomatoes(0)
Dinner - LC mac n cheese(6), 2 ff Hot dogs(2)
Snack - HC popcorn(2) and a WW bar (2)
24 pts and I'm done for the day.

So far I've had 64 oz cfsf tea and 96 oz water. I'll probably have a bit more before I float to bed

Finally made it to the gym - did 13 min on the stair trainer, 22 on TM and 50 weights. I did the Ab ripper - 7 min this morning.

This month I really need to work on remembering my vitamins. I'm also planning to do the Ab Ripper at least weekday mornings. Plan to make at least 13 trips to the gym.

So, off to figure out if I need to take DD to DH for fencing or if he's coming home to get her. I looked at our gasoline charges for last month - $450!!!! OUCH!!!!!! That's a car, 2 cycles and a van which alternates with one cycle. YIKES!!!

Sorry to hear you are having such a time with the bug....hopefully everything is fixed and you don't have any other issues!

Don't be too hard on yourself about the weight....I am sure that you have more muscle now than you did a year ago...and remember muscle weights more than fat!! You are doing a great job!

I hear ya about the mystery scale thing. I think we should have a scale bashing party! What do ya say?;) Seriously, Julie.... You have made a lot of great strides in your healthy living journey. You're working out and watching what you eat and you're managing to do all of this with a super busy schedule. Yesterday felt like I got something accomplished for once. Today, well, that may be a different story. I am SO tired this morning, hard to get motivated.

Did ab ripper - 7 min.

Ended some Ebay auctions, have to take DS19 back to the eye Dr -- again. Hopefully the infection or whatever is finally cleared up. Need to return some shorts to WM that didn't fit DD. Clean some carpet spots, list Ebay & start pulling stuff for a GSale next month. Personally, I'd rather nap...

Just finished WATP 5 mile. Need a snack, but not sure what. DD wanted to go to fencing tonight, but I've actually planned dinner since we'll all be home and I'm just not going to change it. Oh well....
 
What a day!!

Went ok until DH got home. Since we started planning the FL trip he knew that DS16 wants to play paintball on Sunday and that my Dsis, her 2 daughters & families are coming up to play and we would have birthday for DS16 who will turn 17 that Tuesday and for DNiece whose bday is on Monday. It was planned that the guys & DD would go play paintball and the girls & the baby would stay at the hotel where I rented a Cabana for the day. Today he decided to go to a meeting on Sunday from 1 - 5. The clincher was that he also decided he needs to go to cocktails on Tuesday dinner hour and can't go out to Birthday dinner or activity with DS16. GRRRR!!!! This is a convention and his boss even told him that is was more to go have fun and he doesn't have to go to ANY of the meetings if he doesn't want to - 'look at it as a paid vacation'. Some of the activities are a 'shopping-ganza' tour of Orlando, Behind the scenes at WDW, Universal & NASA, and a deep sea fishing day. Not to mention all the golf for those that like it. DS16 wasn't happy and I'm fairly livid.

Then DS19 takes off with a friend 20 min before dinner. About 5 min before dinner DS16 comes in and says he's leaving to go to a concert at a church about 30 min from here - doesn't ask, but more says his chick-fil-a co-workers are waiting on him. So, I lost it and laid into him as he's gone out the last 3 evenings - all to church doings, but.......

He leaves and Mia is tapping my leg telling me she needs to go out. Take her out, my cell rings and as DD answers it the smoke detectors go off - the garlic bread in the oven was FLAMING!!! (as was my mood!!) It was here that the cookie dough attacked!

So my nice steak dinner for 5 ended up being for 3 and DD doesn't eat steak.

Then I recorded a movie last night for DD off TV following DH directions and there's no volume to speak of so she fumed at both of us.

There must be something in the air!

I'm exhausted, but will likely be up late as DS16 is out. Need to list my ebay and then maybe visit some journals. Tomorrow has to end up better.....doesn't it????

Need more water before I float to bed tonight, but I've had PLENTY so far!!
 
Wow Julie, you are one very busy lady! I came over to read your journal after you posted on mine and I do not know how you do it. I have to get back to selling on ebay myself. I have a ton of stuff that I need to get listed but I am just to lazy. You seem to be doing a great job and kuddos to you!!

Wednesday....this week is flying by. 63 days til Florida!

Today is liquid day, so my journal will be rather dull, but I will journal!!!

Up to get DD to make lunches, get DD to bus, wake DS16 and make him write the check for his bills so DH can get them in the bank before the check clears. DS19 unfortunately is $800+ short for his.....AGAIN! But has 2 checks coming by Friday. Get DS19 up for work, take him to work, get DS16 up for work, I'm currently pulling ebay stuff to package & mail. Need to run to the groc that has soda 5/$10 this week as our stockpile is running low. Gotta call VW as the bug appt. for tomorrow is right when I need to take DS19 to work and go to WW WI. I've missed 2 wks and just can't miss another. Have to return to WM, Post Office(maybe tomorrow) and hopefully make the gym today - trying to make that a priority. The grocery that has the soda sale is the one that has a coffee shop, so breakfast will be a latte.

I did my 7 min abs again this morning. I am SORE!!! Weight today 183 on New Scale, 178 on Old scale - I think I like the old one BETTER!!!!!

Well, I'm not holding out much hope for a decent WI tomorrow - TOM decided to make a surprise appearance.

Didn't make it to the PO, but did make the gym, although I had to cut my weights a bit short as I was running out of time before getting DD at school.

Tomorrow is take DS19 to work, WI, take the bug in and hopefully get some errands done on that side of town. I'll do my ab DVD and WATP 5 mile for my exercise.

Hopefully Mia will be going out of heat soon, I'm REALLY tired of being kept up at night!!
 
Julie - Wow what a week so far!! It's great that you are getting the ab workouts and the gym in!
oh, and i agree....i like the old scale better!!

Hi Julie, there's definately something to be said about "old" scales. I got rid of my old digital that was 10 years old and it was pretty reliable but I thought the new Tony Little one that shows fat ratio and has the memory and all would be a better scale. Well it SUCKED! :rotfl2: Turns out that it weighs us 4 pounds heavier than we actually are. Who needs that. It's getting sold in the garage sale in June. Stick with the old one!!

I hope one day I get to a point where I work out as much as you. I sure give you a lot of credit. That is the best thing you can do for your self.

Well, today wasn't as bad as I thought at WI. I had missed 2 weeks, but I was actually down .4. But, the lady who did WI couldn't subtract and put 1.4 which really got my hopes up. Then I spent 1/2 hour trying to figure out why my scales(yes I weigh myself on BOTH of them - pathetic, I know) only said about .5. Then I gave up and realized hours later she just couldn't subtract. Oh well......

Food today - Day 4 :

So, I took DD to school, took DS19 to work, went to WI, Took bug to VW, went to Goodwill, Mailed pkgs, then home. I didn't get my WATP 5 done, but with TOM making a surprise appearance, I don't feel much like it. Hopefully will get in a long walk tonight.

Time to get something done since I've been gone all day.

Two Months from Today I leave for Florida! 61 days & counting!

I did end up doing WATP 5 mile last night - I thought I picked DS19 up at 4:30, and when I realized it was 5:30, I had time. Good thing as today I feel MUCH worse than yesterday, so it may be an off day. I did my 7 min abs this morning, tho.

Not sure what I'm doing today. I should run errands, should go to gym, but I'm not thrilled with either at the moment. Lovely TOM woes! A Nap sounds good, but not likely. If I don't do some errands today, then tomorrow will be full of errands in crowds. Ok, I'll do errands today.....

I'll likely do WATP 5 mile or something, but I'm thinking the gym is just too much today. I'm TOYING with the idea of going and signing DD and I up to do the 5K Zoo walk/run tomorrow. Can't w/o her ok, so it will have to be after school. Need to go shop for Flip Flops for the exchange.

There's some good sales this weekend, so IF I get brave, I may go swimsuit shopping. BIG IF..... I'm afraid that if I wait until mid/late June, there won't be much left to choose from.

Off to kick DS16 in the behind & get him moving on school.....
