Hang in there, I know how busy life is with these teenagers and running here and there. Just keep doing this thing and you will lose :cheer2:
 
Yesterday was busy, but OK.

Breakfast (at almost 11) was a revival bar(5), I wanted sam's ice cream for lunch - NO, almost stopped at fast food - NO, ended up having salt & vinegar chips (4) and apple(found already sliced bagged at Sam's) (1). Had 32 oz of water during WATP5 mile, 2 -16 oz while out. Dinner was Sweet Tomatoes on the way to take DD to set up regional science fair. I had 14 pts there, so just at my points.

Today DD is at Regional Science Fair all day. Pick her up at school at 4:30. Dinner will be at "pork & Brew". It's a national BBQ event that's at the high school less than a mile from my house. You buy BBQ bucks and then get to sample from about 40 different teams. I'm not big on meat, but DH insists we go this time. Brew I'll pass on. I'm hoping someone has some chicken!! DH wants to DRIVE over! :lmao: The driveway you have to enter to park is literally about 2 blocks (downhill) from my house and they're charging $5 parking. Then you have to walk anyway!!

DD forgot some of her photos for her project this morning so I had to come back home, get them and take them to the busses. I actually RAN about 1/4 mile from the parking lot to the busses and didn't collapse!!!! Except for the cold air, it wouldn't have phased me. WOW!!!

Time to get moving. Today I WILL make it to the gym!!
 

Weekends are FLYING by!!!

Well, Pork & Brew was WAY overrated. $6 for a smallish bun of pulled pork. Cold, windy, dumpy carnival. Oh well....... The walking was good!

Sat was Regional Sci Fair. Amazingly, 75% of the awards went to the students at 1 school and of 1 teacher. Also, a large part of the judges were teachers at that school. Hmmmm....... Plus, in each category, the judges didn't all look at all the projects - they each picked 3 to judge. Weird and not consistent. Oh well, I'm glad it's over for the year!!

Food was Ok sat, but yesterday's points were almost entirely in Chocolate, and I used 6 FPs. GRRRRRR!!!!!

Back on track today. Breakfast small banana w/ pb (4).

I'm trying to get DH to commit to a FL trip. He's going to be at the Omni Champions Gate from 7/8 - 13. I think we should join him, hang out, then do something else for a weekend. DD wants to do the Career Camp at SW this year if she can. DS16 says if we go he wants to ride rides - ie. Universal - which means a stay at the onsite hotels to get FOTL. Personally, lounging by a pool sounds perfect. We'll see, but flights from here are booking and I want to use my free tickets and/or credits, so may not even be possible.

I didn't get taxes done...again. Still haven't managed to consistently Ebay. Maybe today!
 
90 min at the gym today. I was tired & didn't want to go, but I did and I'm glad!


lunch was turkey(2), chips(3), 2 pt bars(4) sf creamsicle(.5) so I'm at 13.5. No clue what dinner will be as it will be DS16 and I since DH will be taking DD to fencing.
 
Dinner last night ended up being Sweet Tomatoes - had salad w/ tons of spinach, a bite of mac/chz, 1 sm piece bread, so stayed w/in my points.

This morning I was craving a latte, so I WALKED to get one. It was 6 pts, and I didn't walk really fast as I kept having to stop for traffic at intersections, but I got in an hour of walking and got my latte. Decided I needed to work for it.

Had 1 pt of Turkey mid morning. Not sure what I'll do for lunch, then I'll do WATP 5 mile.

I'll get some Ebay done tonight - finally. I'm working on pics now.

Still not sure about the Summer FL trip. DS16 and DD have now decided we've done Universal 3 x in 2 years, that they want something different. Neither are thrilled about WDW parks(I am, I am, I am!!). I've got to get something worked out by this weekend, tho, or I am definitely not going to get air. That and Taxes are my weekend priority.

DD starts Spring Break Thurs, so it's time to clean her clothes out for Ebay & assess the needs for summer. I'm a major shopaholic, so this will take a while. We are also planning a Zoo day over break. I just need to make sure she doesn't sidetrack me and I still make it to the gym!
 
Lunch ended up being a grilled chicken sandwich(5) and cf diet coke.

Just finished WATP 5 mile, so I've done 126 min exercise today - about 8 mile equivalent. Hopefully it will begin to show on the scale soon!
 
Julie, let me know how you like the Omni Champions Gate resort. We drive past it every time we go to WDW, & I've been wondering how it is. Its a beautiful resort (at least it looks beautiful from I-4).

Great job on your workouts. :banana: I didn't even know WATP had a 5 miler!
 
Today ended up being a no exercise day, but...... I got the Florida trip to work out!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!

As long as the TA from DH work can get him on the same flights as DS16, we are going!!! Let the planning begin.

We will all leave on 7/5, spend the night of 7/5 in Lakeland w/ my Dsis. 7/6 we will go to St. Pete to the Don Cesar resort. (if anyone has been there I'd appreciate some feedback. It looks GREAT!) 7/8 we will pass back thru Lakeland then on to the Omni Champions Gate. Dh checks in for his conference 7/9. We will stay there until 7/14 a.m. DH will likely be his boring engineer self and just attend the conferences, but DD, DS16 and I will have our own fun. 7/14 DS and DH fly home and DD and I head back to Lakeland. 7/17 I take DD back to SW and leave her for camp. I'll go back to Lakeland and stay at Dsis. DD finishes on 7/22 and we go home on 7/23.

Basically I figure DD, DS and I will have 4 full days to play. Sunday I don't think DH has any real meetings, so we may have to hang around with him. DS turns 17 on Tuesday, so I need to spend that day doing his thing.

The only thing I can get him to commit to is he wants to spend 1 day at Disney Quest playing DDR, and he wants to go to the Adidas Outlet and spend my money. He may want to go to Orlando Paintball - it looks pretty neat (anyone been there?)

I want to go to DISNEY!!!! I figure if I'm a good girl we MIGHT get 2 days in. At least we could possibly hit highlights in the parks. Thru the conference I can buy 2 day hoppers for $159 and DQ tickets for $25 - I think those are pretty good prices.

Can anyone recommend an 'orlando' book? I also saw the 'GO Orlando' passes for other stuff in case I can't talk them into WDW. I'd be happy just to lounge around the pool, lazy river & water slide at the Omni.

DD can't complain about anything we do as she is spending 5 days at the Sea World Career camp which does the park and Discovery Cove as well as educational stuff.

The only problem I can see with this whole trip is that I'll be gone 19 days - which will be REALLY DANGEROUS for my eating.

today is liquid day. I've had coffee(6), Keva(4), 2 slim fast(6), revival soy(5) and 2 pts of turkey for protein. Along with LOTS of decaf tea/water.
 
Well, Spring Break starts today. I got up as usual, went to wake DD, realized I didn't need to, crawled back in bed with the pups to watch the news and woke up realizing that I'd slept and couldn't make it to WW. Oh well. I might go tomorow or just wait til next week. I'm not going to stress.

DSis just called and she had her 1 year mammo today - looks Cancer Free!! No call back, no sonogram. She was so happy she was crying!!

I told DD she could sleep today, I'm going to take more Ebay pics & will make the gym today. Tomorrow we start weeding out in her room. Next week she and DH leave on Fri for Mesa AZ for Fencing.

This weekend will be TAXES (I've said it, hold me to it!), and general house stuff. There is a small fencing tourney here Fri night we need to go to as well.

No clue what any food will be today. I haven't been up long enough to think about it.
 
Wow! I'm glad I didn't go to WI this morning!

I just stepped on the scale prior to getting dress to go workout & since right before bed last night (and I've had nothing to eat or drink since then) I'm up 4.5 POUNDS!!! GRRRRR!!!!!! Then to add insult to injury, I decided to measure - from 1/20 - 3/23 I've lost NOT ONE FRACTION OF AN INCH!!!!!!!

How can this be????? :confused3 I'm working out a bunch, watching my food, and NOTHING to show for it!! And, if you go by my scale this morning, I"m only officially down at WW about 3 lbs.

I HATE MIDLIFE!!!!!! :furious:

No, I won't quit, it's just VERY frustrating.

Hey Julie, can I hate midlife too? Last time I lost weight 35lbs melted off of me in about 5 months. This time its taken me 15 months to lose 30lbs. Plus I'm hot all of the time & living in Florida doesn't help! It it takes the rest of our lives at least we're heading in the right direction. Don't feel bad - you're not alone!
 
Just back from the gym. Hard to get motivated today. Did 35 min on the bike and 55 min weights.

So far today I've had a slimfast(3) and a revival bar(5).

Jane - try revival soy for the 'heat'. It's amazing. I've tried everything OTC out there and nothing works and I won't take HRT.

Leaving soon to run errands and take DD to fencing. Ebay tonight - I hope!!
 
Julie -- I am so happy for you and your family about your sister's wonderful news! Thank God!

I know what you are going through with the scale, but we have to keep reminding ourselves that we are doing this to get healthy. And it really sounds like you are so fit, with all your exercise and disciplined eating. Keep up the great work!
 
Just back from fencing. Had a cf diet coke and a grilled ckn sand for late lunch(5), now I'm having 2- 2pt turkey sand. Not sure what else I"ll have to finish a few more points. I have 7 left, but may not use them all. I was really getting hungry tho.

The sleepies have struck, so I won't be getting on Ebay tonight. Hopefully in the morning.

Not sure what today will bring. Gotta get movin on the ebay pics, listing, and DD's room. That should take care of it!! I told DH he needs to take DD to fencing tonight so I can get something done. He wasn't thrilled, but oh well....he can give up an evening of tv.

I checked the scale and it is Conair electronic precision Weight Watchers. It measures in tenths of a pound, which is what really drew me to it. It also has memory, but doesn't require a password, so I don't use those features (it keeps track of starting weight, current, last weight, and goal weight for more than one user). The best thing is it has a self-leveling feature that shows a dot on the display and lets you know if you are not standing on it in the right place. I have never had differing weights when stepping on and off it several times. My BF found mine for me at Bed Bath & Beyond and used a 20% off coupon she had so I think it was $40 instead of $50. Good luck finding it!
 
Just finished WATP 5 mile and got in a quick 15 min walk outside earlier.

Seems I just can't get things done around here. Helped DD a bit in her room, sewed a couple of patches on her fencing jacket, ran a couple errands and it's dinner time already. I need a longer day!!!!

I'm gonna go look for that scale this weekend, Cam. I keep wanting one that does in 10ths.

After much thought I've pretty much decided that WDW won't be happening. I want to be able to enjoy it when I go and between crowds and cramming it into 2 days I think it would be hectic rather than fun.

So, now I'm looking for alternative activities to theme parks. DS16 wants to do paintball as I know Orlando has a neat place. That will be the first day we're actually in O since DH only has registration and it's a weekend and the Dniece's hubbys can come up and join us. Another day DS and DD want to spend at Disney Quest, and they want to shop the Adidas outlet(which can take us several hours) - so that really leaves 3 days and I want some pool time!!

I'm disappointed, but I think it's a good decision.

Time to get dinner for DD & DH so they can go to fencing.

Food for me so far has been a lt bagel w/ smidge of rf pb and J(4), sonic chili cheese fries(7) and small ice cream(4) - These were DD's idea of lunch today. So, I have 9 points left. I can eat and be full with that if I think ahead and plan well.
 
Dinner last night was a quesadilla made from flat out brd and ff chz. Of course with peach mango salsa. Then I had a few chips. Too much sodium, but was good, and some diet cf dad's rootbeer.

Today I had strawberries for breakfast with a smidge of sugar(3), and a 2 pt sandwich.

I'm about to go start organizing my tax info so I can work on it in spurts. Too much makes my brain HURT!!!

I'm waiting for DH to get back from taking the van in - had brakes done 2 wks ago and it now vibrates. Told him he had to as he is driving DD to Phoenix next Friday. I'm hoping he'll go to the gym with me. Gee, it would be his 2nd time there in 3 months, so I"m not holding out too much hope.
