That was a short night!! I went to bed just after 11, DS19 came in at 12:15 to tell me he was home (he left??). DS16's friends left about 12:30. Mia wanted out at 5:20 and Max needed out at 6:15. Oh well, sleep is overrated anyway!

Looks like rain here - we sure need it - so I'll need to take DS16 and DS19 to work in opposite directions within 10 minutes of each other. This should be fun!! I'll go run my errands then, go to the gym and then home to do taxes.

Hopefully I'll have time to WI before we leave (if they ever finish in my bathroom). I SWEAR boys are worse than Girls!!
 
This morning was a fiasco!!!

DS16 got a ride to work - YEAH!!!

DS19 was ready over an hour early (ulterior motive) wanted me to take him to cash his check. Ok. Happens to be at the grocery where I walk to get a latte. Decided to try the SF caramel macchiato (nonfat & decaf of course!). I took one sip and almost gagged. So, I threw it away! Fortunately I had a 2 pt bar in my purse.

Then DS19 says the Cingular store has his phone in- he gets employee discount and it's a good deal. Drove down there. He goes in while I go to gas station to buy his cigarettes(I HATE doing that!!!!) Then DH calls from Phoenix. DD says her head is "wobbly".

She had a blonde moment on Thursday and decided to see how fast she could spin around a dog bone that was on the floor of her room, while talking on the phone. Fell into the dresser then tripped over her backpack and slammed the right side of her head/face into her TV. Bump on head, tiny cut on chin. Later that night she said her head was wobbly - nothing moving just felt like she was swaying inside. HMMMM..... Eyes responsive, everything else was fine. Friday she was fine except for a small bump and a little bruise. Woke up this morning in PHX 'wobbly' again. Today is fencing.

DH puts her on the phone and I begin asking all the 'mom' questions. She of course starts arguing that I don't understand. DH comes on yelling at me for upsetting her as he was trying to get her mind off of it when DS19 comes running out of the store and pounding on my car window. He needs me inside 'NOW'. His credit stinks and he needs me to put the security deposit for his phone on my credit card. He hands me $800 cash and says he'll give me the other $300 on Friday. DH hears and proceeds to explode even louder. So, I hang up w/ DH and go in the store. over $1100 security deposit because he has such bad credit, he'll get it back after 12 mo. I figure it is a forced savings account for him, and since I have my money, he'd be out, not me. Plus, it will help him to start reestablishing his credit. So, I fork over my CC.

By the time we leave the store we now have 12 minutes to get him to work 15 min away. Make it with seconds to spare.

DH calls again (and then EIGHT more times in 20 minutes). Osco doesn't have any loratadine(generic claritin) they only have claritin. And which version of sudafed should she take. (she's had allergies all week and they're in phoenix where everything is blooming - let's get allergies under control and see if this helps). Can she just take sudafed? Can she just take claritin? But she took tylenol at the hotel? How many does she take? Should I pay cash or credit?.....You get the idea. Stupid questions any MOM would know intuitively. Oh well......

So I finally get a moments peace, head to the mall. Find sports bras at Victorias Secret. Somehow, just the name "Shock Absorbers" makes me feel better. While in the dressing room DS16 calls. He is eating his 'free meal' for the day now(10:30 a.m.) and will be hungry before he gets off between 9 - midnight. Can I bring him some cash as he left his wallet at home.

Off to GNC for vitamins. Swipe my Visa - denied. Swipe again.... denied. Finally hand over Discover. Call Visa. Within 3 minutes of the Cingular charge, the Hotel in Phx charged DH room(he said they didn't ask for a card so he didn't pay yet). They used the number from my file with the wrong expiration and the CC company flagged it as fradulent and froze my card. 25 min phone call later and it's cleared up.

Home for lunch(remaining chinese) - 8 pts.

I don't feel much like going to the gym, but I am going. Can it get any weirder than this day already has been????

I have 14 points left, so will have to decide about dinner later.

A nap sounds wonderful, but my 'to do' list hasn't hardly been worked at all today, so it won't happen. Oh well......
 
How could I have forgotten the best part of my day.....

I just dropped DS19 at work, glanced down and my airbag light is on AGAIN. Exactly every 2 weeks for the last 8 weeks. And they still haven't been able to fix my passenger door window that is supposed to lower 1" when the door opens and doesn't so it slams into the rag top and bows the window out almost 2". UGH!!!

Went to the gym. 35 minutes bike, 58 minutes weights, and earlier I had done a quick mile 15 min at the mall.(our mall is exactly 1 mile if you go in every hall and do up and down. So 108 for today.

Dinner I decided on a Zio's Italian shrimp salad. 10 pts, but I still have 4 left. I get it with no croutons and what do they do. They bring it to my car with a wrapped hot, smelly loaf of crusty french bread. I about died on the way home. I can't even unwrap it or I'll eat it all!!

I've decided to leave taxes until tomorrow and get a bunch of the smaller stuff done tonight.
 

Wow Julie! You are a very busy lady! What a day you have had too! It is SO wonderful though that you still managed to get in all that exercise and stay on point! :cheer2: Way to go!

You do awesome to do so much exercise most days! You also seem to do really well on your food! I know you have been struggling with the scale, but don't let it get you down. You consistantly do strength training and I am sure that you are building muscles. Sometimes that scale just refuses to move as fast as we want it to. You are doing the right things though and all that exercise and low cal eating is doing good things for your body, so try not to get discouraged that the weight is coming off slowly. It is coming off and that is what counts! :cheer2:

I have to ask about the "Shock Absorbers"... have you had a chance to try them out yet? What do you think? I also have Large girls and I tried on some sports bras the other day at Target just because I was there. I felt like I bounced more in them than I did in a normal bra :confused3 plus they smoosh me. Go figure. :confused3 I have been working on the jogging thing and it would sure be nice to be less bouncy. Let me know what you think of them. :sunny:

Finished off yesterday with a 'twinkie'. So actually 2 pts under, but just wasn't hungry, so why eat????

Breakfast today was eggbeaters(1.5) lt bread(1) smidge of pbj(1.5)
I have NO CLUE what the rest of the day will bring.

DS19 left at almost midnight and came back at 8 - he was at a neighbors playing video games all night.

DS16 called after work and wanted to go to friends house to watch a movie - they picked him up. Said he would be home at midnight. 12:15 I called and they were just leaving. Peaked out and another friend pulled up out front and they sat on the front porch talking until almost 1:30 - drove the pups NUTS!! Oh well.....

I made car reservations for Florida last night. When DH leaves, DD and I will need a car to get her from Lakeland back to SW for camp, then to the airport just in case my DSis can't drive us. Now I have to decide where we will stay that last night as our flight leaves at 8:15 a.m. and I don't want to have to drive back to Lakeland on Sat & to MCO on Sunday. I'm thinking the HI Express by Florida Mall. I imagine we'll just veg that day. I'll likely make 2 different res tonight and then decide.

Time to get moving. Today is rebates, bills, taxes, dog baths & Ebay. Plus DS16 and I hope to get him finished with Spanish 2 today.

I'm going out here in a bit to try the 'shock absorbers'. I can't go 20 yards without some kind of hill, but I'm going to attempt to jog around my block - it's a pretty big one, but that means 1 part is all up a steep hill. Am I nuts????
 
well, jogged,but I did it!

Shock absorbers WORK!! I tried the one I didn't think would be as good. It's item #191-338 on the website. There's a code out now for $10 off any purchase so would be $30.

My block is bigger than I thought. In just over 5 min I went just under 1/2 mile, and 1/2 of it was uphill. I really wanted to quit on the last uphill, but I was determined to make it home, I could see it!

Not a lot, but it's a start. I also need to remember it's allergy season and we're at almost 6000 ft.

Off to do some work.
 
Today is a munchie day. Lunch was chips & salsa (4), then baked lays(2) and an oatmeal pie(2) 12 left for dinner or whenever.
 
No real food here today. VERY munchie. Turkey (2), chocolate(4) Not sure what else I'll have. Not hungry, just munchie!

No other exercise, either. DS16 girl 'friend' came over to use the computer which is where I exercise, so I didn't get the chance. I did jog my 5 minutes, tho!!! :teeth: I'm going to try to do a 6 min AB tape I got later. Oh boy, 11 whole minutes today!!

I STILL haven't done taxes!! I am SO BAD!!!!
 
Morning came WAY TOO EARLY!!!!

DD & DH got home around 11:45, so we didn't make it to bed until almost 12:30, up at 6.

Today will be busy (is it ever not?)

I WILL do taxes!!

And take DS16 to Dr., Ebay, get my car in again, take DD to DH for fencing, EXERCISE, and more, I"m sure.

I decided for now I'll try to jog around the block on days I don't go do weights. I would like to try every day, but I think unless I start slow it will trigger my shin splints and make my ankle/foot hurt - especially since 1/2 is pretty good uphill climb.

Time to get busy...

Not sure on food, but my scale took a 3 lb jump this morning. Oh well.....
 
i TOTALLY agree about morning coming to early today!!
Don't worry about the 3# jump - it will be gone again in no time!!

Three Months from today I'll be at the airport headed to Florida for 18 days!! YEAH!!!!!!

I REALLY hope to start losing SOMETHING SOON!!! This stubborn scale is very frustrating, but if I give up, it definitely won't happen, so I need to keep on.

I've been AWOL as I've been super busy. I finally finished taxes....YIPPEE!!! The sale of MIL's home divided among kids, then the bank used the wrong forms to file the closing of the estate really bogged me down. Not tough, just a lot of paperwork!

Yesterday was slimfast on the run(3), 2 pt bar(2), turkey sand(2), 4 pts of chips 1 at a time walking to the kitchen to get each 1 when I got frustrated during taxes(4), turkey(1), frozen french onion soup(4), 1/2 flat out quesadilla w/ ff chz(3), ww ice cream(2) - under points, but I wasn't hungry.

Off now to Starbucks on the way to take DS16 to the dentist. Not sure they will be able to do anything as his asthma is BAD this morning, but if I don't show, it's $75, so we will go over and talk to them and they can decide.

The gym HAS to happen today - I actually think I'm beginning to suffer withdrawel from not going!!
 
Go to the gym and workout for me too....I need it bad today!!
Congrats on getting your taxes done.....isn't that a relief?!
You are doing great on your food....keep it up and the scale will show you that it's paying off!!

Today was good and bad. WI - BAD!! :sad2: I lost another whopping .2!! This is getting SO frustrating!!
Some day I've got to lose a real, whole pound!!!!

At home I've lost some this month, because I go by what I weigh on the first of the month and my weight fluctuates.

Made it to the gym....finally! 35 min bike, 55 min weights. Then I took DD to fencing and went and walked Sam's & Costco for over 2 hours (counting 1).

Breakfast a scone(6), lunch sub wrap(4), dinner was yummy, but not so good - ice cream(3), chips(3), a tiny bite of fudge(2) which leaves me 6. Not sure what I'll have.

I'm VERY tired! I hate the shift DS19 is working - getting him up at 4:30 a.m. is killing me!!

I'm sorry the scale doesn't seem to be cooperating. Mine isn't either. :( Maybe we should have a scale bashing party! That will give us plenty of exercise and it will help us feel better! :yay: What do ya say? ;)

What a Weekend!!!!

Food....well we won't really discuss that much. Let's just say if I lose my weekly .2 I'll be ecstatic!!

Yesterday morning DD and I left home at 9:30 to return some stuff to Target, to Three Dog Bakery(never did make it there) and to take the rental car back and exchange it for a car the dealer owns, as my bug is still in the shop.

Did Target, then was passing by TJMaxx on the way to Three Dog and stopped. Friday night we had gone thru DD's clothes and she is in need for summer, school and the FL trip. So, an hour and a half and over $200 later we left. Bought a suitcase for the trip, some clothes for her, 3 pr capri pants(all alike) for me, some Harry& David candy(oops! mistake #1), etc. Found her the most gorgeous 1 piece DKNY swim suit. Size 10 and she cried and cried over that, but it fits like a glove. The girl's NOT a real 10 - 36,25, and then the fencing hips/thighs. Talk about an hourglass figure!
Then rushed to the rental car place(they closed at 12), forgot to get gas, had to go fill it, back to return, and be taken back to VW.

Since we were still in the vicinity, "let's go to the big Ross store"! Another hour & half trip during which her blood sugar dropped way down - I fed her a Pria Bar & then it dropped again even lower. Don't even recall what we bought there. She was really really shaky & pale so off to the first drive thru we saw - MCD's. ICK!!! Mistake #2 - I ordered a grilled chicken club, no sauce. I got a crispy chicken w/ mayo. scraped the mayo off, but I wasn't about to drive back. Had plain tea and avoided the fries.

Onward to the other Ross. Bought some more. NM has almost NO SHORTS!!! Everything is capri pants or skirts/shorts that don't reach the crotch. YIKES!!!

Off to the Mall. Finally found 2 pr shorts at Penny's, a couple of tops at Sears, then walked & walked. Finally met DH at 5:15 at Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. Then Back to the mall for 2.5 more hours. We finally got home at 8:30 last night. 11 HOURS LATER!!! I'm counting 2 as exercise. My feet and legs were killing me!!!

Back to the mall today to return a shirt we decided she didn't need and to buy 2 more tank tops. Walked it again for almost an hour. Tonight went for a 40 min walk with DH.

It was really hard getting her to try on clothes - anything from a size 5 - 10 fit her and from S - L in tops. She just doesn't get that everything runs differently and you have to go by looks, not numbers (Don't we ALL struggle with this???)

Off to bed soon. I'm beat!!

I love Sweet Tomatoes! We don't have any here in the Cleveland area, but when we go to WDW, we always make sure and stop there. They have the best blueberry muffins! :love:
