Journey back to ME!!- I'm getting bugged!!

Hi Julie,

Still sending that :wizard: for your DH.... Will the doctor talking with him help at all?

I am so glad that you bought that Wii just for you! Please be careful though! ;)

That's great that your DS20 worked a 12 hour shift and came home for a talk. :goodvibes

When do you start eBaying again? Every year, I get this, "I can eBay everything and make tons of money attitude" and then when my stuff doesn't sell and sits around my house, I get discouraged. :( Any advice?

Hope you have a great day today!:goodvibes

"Wii elbow" :rotfl2:

I'm glad you're having fun with it.

Sounds like life is getting back to normal. I'm exhausted just reading everything you've been up to! It sounds like there's been alot of foreward progress at home. Good for you for getting all that laundry done! I'm also happy to hear you got a nice breakfast chat with DS20.

Have a wonderful day! :cool1:

My DH wants to check out a Wii. I will have to tell him that you are having fun with it and enjoying it.

I am sorry to hear about your DH's attitude towards health, but that is unfortunately something that you can't control. Some people get the wake up call and others choose to sleep right through it. Just continue focusing on the health of you and your children and pray that one day you DH will see the light.

Yeah for you on boycotting the laundry until you got some help with cleaning!!!!

Hi julie the wii sounds lots of fun - if not a little dangerous :)
The 'wii elbow' made me giggle :)
Congrats on finally getting your laundry room back!!:)
Have a good week
Tracey

Yesterday was NOT a good food day and this morning has not started out overly well. At about 11:30 a.m. a cross country Gas Transmission line was cut under a mile from my house - we weren't affected by the evacuations, but for almost 26 hours it sounded like we were living on an airstrip as the noise from them venting the gas was horrific. For some reason to me it was like fingernails on a chalkboard. Gave me a horrid headache and kept me on edge. NOTHING would drown out the sound. It's finally fixed.

Plus, TOM decided to make an appearance this morning after 3 months of being MIA. What fun!!!

I did behave this morning and made my mammogram appointment. I was hesitant and putting it off due to last January's scare, but I made it - Next Tuesday at 9:45 (unless I have to reschedule due to hauling kids). I'm on the 'Wait List' with my Doctor for Annual Exams - welcome to New Mexico!

DS17 just left on the cycle to go meet a friend at the gym to work out. Of course, not the gym close by. Roads are clear except on our street and that has enough clear spots I think he's ok to ride.

DD should be home any time and we're going to try to make the gym. I'll likely swim if the pool is open and then hot tub. Not feeling like doing too much!

Yikes Julie!

That sounds like a scary situation. I'm glad to hear that everyone is okay.:goodvibes

Good for you for scheduling that mammogram!:thumbsup2

Hope your Wednesday is a good one!

Hello Julie!

Glad you are ok with that scare. Seems like you are on the way for a good day today. I am trying to stay mellow with what seems like a head cold coming on. It is winter, and they certainly seem to go hand in hand.

Good luck with the mamogram!

Wishing you the best!

Wendy

I didn't make it to the gym, AGAIN, yesterday. DD & I were planning after school, so I waited, then I felt so miserable by the time she got home that when a friend called her for homework help, I wimped out.

Taking DS17 to work soon, running a couple of quick errands, then I am going to go swim and hot tub for a while. I'm not up to the stairs, tm & weights today. TOM is definitely making up for the MIA months! And, it's making me VERY not optimistic about WI tomorrow - If I can go. I may have to wait & pop in on Friday as DH has a cardio visit at 10:45 tomorrow.

Food 1/10 -

Goodness, Julie. I'm glad you didn't have to evacuate and that the line was repaired quickly. Sorry about the headache though. Good job getting in for your mammo. Just one of those things us gals get to do. At least we don't have to "turn your head and cough" :rotfl: I hope you get in for your annual next too without too much hassle.

Glad the snow is starting to melt and the roads are clearing. Have fun at the gym today with DD. A swim and a soak sound like just what you need right now.

Wow Julie, glad they got the line fixed. I am sorry your dh is resistant to exercise but like someone else said, glad you are doing what you need to be doing! It sounds like ds20 is doing much better. Your two hour talk was time well spent! Hope your snow is melting better than mine is! Keep up your good work, sorry TOM found its way back to you!

 Julie,

I hope you get some time to relax this weekend. How did your DH's appointment go?

Take care!

I've been MIA from here for a few days. Busy trying to get DS17 moving on his school. We just purchased 1 of his last 2 classes and it should arrive today or tomorrow. We have until early May to finish English 4 and Physics. English 4 contains more writing that I've ever encountered in a single class, even in grad school. Going to be TOUGH!!

Today is my dreaded mammogram. I'm NOT thrilled, but keep trying to tell myself that in Oct, I had an ultrasound and all was fine, don't worry. I'll be glad when I have the results!!

Our school district sent out notes saying our snow make up days would be at the end of school - getting out on Fri instead of Tues. Today our newspaper reports they changed their mind and are now making up President's Day weekend and Easter. DD and I have tickets to go to FL President's Day weekend - GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! She was going to miss 1 day of school + about 1/2 hour now it would be 3 full days. I was using a free ticket that expires 2/20, and I hate to lose/waste it. If I go alone, I can't go that weekend as I don't want to leave DD home alone during the day for that long. She's 15, but she hates being alone. I emailed her 2 core teachers this morning for input, but since they're AP classes, I'm not sure she should be missing that much.

I've been logging my food on WW.com during the time I've been MIA from here. I'm hoping for a decent loss this week at WI, but won't bet on it. I've been a bit more regular making it to the gym, so hopefully that will help.

Off to get ready to leave. I'll be back later ......promise!!

:grouphug: Julie,

I hope everything goes well with your mammogram today.:goodvibes

I remember when I was teaching a few years ago, we had taken more than our state alloted 5 snow days one year and we had school on President's Day to make up for it. It was hard going to school that day, but when school was out for summer, we were more than ready! :yay: Having to make up the days at the end of the year would have been. tough... Mentally, we would have all been on summer vacation already!:beach: I hope everything works out for your Florida trip!:thumbsup2

Have a great day today!

Hi Julie
Hope the mammogram went ok for you.
Thats a pain about DD's school, hope you get it sorted so that you can go to FL.
Have a good week :)

Hope the mammo went ok. Those are not fun, but a necessary part of being female :thumbsup2 Bummer about the snow days. There have got to be other families with preplanned vacations that are affected also. Hopefully, the teachers will cut DD a break.

Hi, Julie! I have been thinking of you and hoping your mammogram went effortlessly and uneventfully yesterday. Please check in and let us know you are okay.
Have a great night!

Thanks for checking in, everyone. Unfortunately, I know basically nothing from the mammo. Said I'll get the standard 'card' in 3 - 5 business days that will tell me if I need to come back. UGH!!! I hate the waiting, but I'm assuming all is well since I had an ultrasound in October and things were fine.

I heard back from DD's core teachers and both said her missing school was no problem, so we will go to FL. I'll check with choir & 'pathfinder' (the find yourself class) as a formality, but it was the AP classes that we needed to worry about. I'm really looking forward to the break, even though it will be a quick trip. Hopefully my brother who lives in Naples & is a big wig at FGCU will be in the country and we can go see him. We've never been to his home since he moved to FL several years ago and I know DD would love to see all his critters. He has a collection of living 2 headed animals, several endangered species and more critters than you could imagine living in his house. He's an ornithologist and his wife is a herpetologist, plus he's the govt advisor for the wildlife and NASA, on the president's environmental council & all sorts of other governments environmental stuff including Castro's. He's pretty famous in many circles and DD just adores him! I remember as a kid ( he's 20 years older than I am) he had a galapagos turtle as a footstool (alive of course) and a great snowy owl that lived loose in his house, as well as a couple of penguins!

I haven't been to the gym since Monday and am frustrated, but with hauling DD to school (her bus now comes at 6:15 a.m., getting to school before 6:45 for a 7:32 start), hauling DS20 to/from work and DS17 to/from work (too cold for me to have him ride the cycle), I'm not getting much done.

Yesterday my scale was down just over 2 lbs from last weeks WI, today it's up those 2 + 2 more, so I have no idea what to expect tomorrow. I'm just hoping to maintain and actually make it to WW since it's to be another really cold morning and I'll be hauling all 3 kids again. Friday is 1 year since I rejoined WW this time. But this time I actually haven't joined & rejoined several times over the year. I still haven't made 10% this time, but I'm getting closer. Hopefully before FL!!

DH is at his first Cardiac rehab session. They finally figured out insurance and he really can go only a few times and follow their plan at the gym we belong to just up the street from our house. MAYBE he will go since it's convenient.

Max is suddenly very interested in Mia. It seems a bit late at day 15+ in her heat, but who knows. I'm not sure he's 'done the deed', but time will tell. I've had to make them sleep in their pen in the kitchen the last 2 nights as it's really hard to sleep with all his 'heavy breathing'. Poor little guy - he's determined and won't eat or sleep. He's lost almost a pound of his 3 pacing and trying. Won't be able to tell for about 6 weeks for sure.

Hi Julie,

That's great that you get to go to Florida! I hope you'll get to see your brother.... My DD4 would love to have seen his penguins...She saw Happy Feet and penguins are her new favorite thing.:thumbsup2

I'm glad to hear they got the insurance straightened out and that your DH got to go to a cardiac rehab session. Sending some good thoughts and prayers that he will continue to go.:goodvibes

Hope you have a great Thursday! Keep on keeping on, Julie!:cheer2:

Hi Julie
Thats good news you get to go to FL :)
Your DB sounds a very interesting guy!! Hope you get to visit him!
Hope everything comes back ok from the mamogram.
I havnt been to the gym in over a week, so your not on your own ;)

Well, I went to WI this morning. Down .2, which is rather pathetic, but I'll take it. Down is Down!! Tomorrow is my 1 year anniversary for this time of joining and I haven't even made my 10% - rather depressing - but I'm officially down 14.6 in the last year. From when I originally joined WW almost 4 years ago now I'm down 25.6. VERY SLOW!!!!

DD had WAY too much homework last night and I sat up with her until 2:20 a.m. when she finished. Didn't even break for dinner. Then we got up at 5:30 for school, so after WW I came home, ate & took a nap!

Off to get her at the bus. Back shortly and hopefully visit journals!!
