I've never done this before. But with our latest trip to Disney I actually want to give it a try. We had lots of neat things happen and my hand writing is ok. Do you waste a whole piece of paper to journal one thing? or do you do lots of little stuff on one piece and then cut it up?
How would you scrap this?
Also How we met "the real" Jasmine, (my friend's daughter) and she made an extra special greet with us and then I had waiting at home for DD a china Jasmine doll placed on her bed that she thinks Jasmine sent. Must say it was wonderful DD said it was all fake but after meeting Jasmine and special visit, doll and that she knew so much about her....she is a believer again!
DD is in first grade and can read almost everything. So I don't want to put it in the book but was thinking I could maybe make a envelope or create a place and add it later once both kids....well you know....Any ideas?

I usually type up my journaling on scrap paper first and get it to the size/shape I want it for my page. then I take the cardstock or vellum I want to print it on and cut out the size of journaling block I need and tape it right over the scrap paper that I have already printed on and run it back through the printer (no wasted cardstock/vellum!). I like the idea of "hiding" journaling of the special doll in an envelope or maybe on the underside of a photo or journaling square or embellishment (tag?) that she would not think to look under now but it will be preserved for the future!

I just did the same thing when making a birthday card! I used Word to get the size & shape I wanted for the letters and printed it out on regular paper. Then I taped the glossy paper on top, holding it up to the light to line it up correctly. I ran that page through my (laser) printer & it came out great! I stamped on the rest of it & then taped it to a colored card.

I put scraps through the printer all the time - just print it on regular paper, hermafix the scrap over the top, and reprint - it works great.

I would hide the journalling, but hide it well - if it's in an envelope she may well ask to open it.
