I am wanting to make some journal pages for my upcoming trip to Disneyland. With Kim and Kari off boards, and Natalie going on her wonderful vacation, I was wondering if anyone knew how to go about making pages for a journal. I'm thinking of downloading a trial version of PSE just to see how I'd like it before shelling out $$ for the entire program, but I have no idea where to begin to make pages.

Does anyone have a basic list of how to even begin like where do you get the blank page? That's where I'm confused. I have no clue how to start on a blank canvas. I can and have been changing names, fonts, etc. on some DISigns I've saved, so I'm kinda knowledgable in that department, and I know that you need graphics or clip art or even pictures to add (Lord knows I've got a boatload of Disneyland pictures from which to choose!!). I'm looking to design pages similar to what Natalie has done for her trip, but of course pertaining to Disneyland/California Adventure. I really don't want to ask anyone to design these as it is just too much, that's why I'm wanting to see if I can do it myself. It can't be that difficult, but I'm just stuck on where to begin.

You guys have always been knowledgable and helpful and so, once again I come asking for advice or suggestions.

Thank you all!:goodvibes

Hi!
Start by creating a template...... a basic design that you want to use for the book so that you can just change text, backgrounds and elements on each page....... you definitely don't want to start from scratch for each page. It will also make the book more cohesive. You definitely want the pages to look like they go together to make a whole!

When I start a journal page I make a blank canvas 8.5 x 11" at 100 dpi with a white background. I then use one of the custom shapes to create a border or frame and fill it with an appropriate texture. Next I'll add ride logos, photos, character clip art, and the boxes to enter information into.

If you need any help on using some of the features in PSE just ask.

Where do you get the clipart for the characters for Future world and the rides? I have never seen some of the stuff you have listed.
