And here are just some fun pictures of Jordyn we took at the wishing place on our way out. I couldn't resist because it looked like the perfect photo place. I would have gotten Jeremy too, but he was never going to cooperate...

What adorable kids you have! I am so glad that Jordyn gets her wish! I hope you get dates soon.

Love the pictures! :lovestruc The wishing place is a wonderful idea, and absolutely fantastic! Have fun planning. :) Hope you get your dates soon.

Sorry about the air conditioner. Hope you were able to get it fixed, and for much cheaper.

Yes, there were times on our trip that were very stressful, when people cough & sneeze with out covering their mouths, but we did our best to avoid them, and prayed a lot. :) Relax? :teeth: Not so much, cause it was busy, busy, busy, but it was definitely a good time, and a much need break from reality. :)

How are her counts?

angel's momma- Thankfully we were able to find a motor on ebay for about $125 and we were able to fix the air conditioner ourselves. I was so relieved!

Right now Jordyn's counts are hanging around ANC 400, her other counts are doing okay and about "normal" for her.

Right now both of my kids managed to get colds... And I now have one as well. They thankfully haven't gotten fevers, which I am sooo grateful for right now. I really don't want to have a trip to the hospital with a fever at the moment. I guess we should have been more careful and stayed at home like we always do... Oh well, I guess nothing I can do about it now.

We still haven't heard from Make a Wish about days or gotten Jordyn's wish confirmation yet. I am excited to see what they decide to do to celebrate it. This is such a new experience for us and I am excited to have something in our lives to look forward to.

This week is going to be a stressful one... One year ago today, Jordyn started feeling really sick, she was admitted to the hospital on the 9th, and on the 12th it will be the anniversary of her diagnosis of cancer. I think I need to do whatever I can to stay busy... All these memories are flooding back to me already and I feel sad that the last year has been like it has been in the way of trials for my family and my children especially.

Congrats on Jordyns wish... We will be in GKTW Sep 2 through Sep 8 so maybe we will see u then!!

Mommyto4Girlz- So exciting you have your dates! That would be cool if we were there at the same time. I am really hoping to know our dates soon! So happy for you!

momofmaz - Thank you for looking at our thread! We are glad to have you here. Thankfully it has gotten a little easier over the last few months.

Hopefully this next week isn't too bad.

Jacob called Make a Wish today and asked about dates and when they usually tell you your dates. They try to do it no sooner than 3 months before the planned trip, and apparently they had us down in October instead of September because we had mentioned Jordyn would love to go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, so they assumed October. Jacob and I are going to decide the week we want to go the most and call back and hopefully get our dates soon! They try to send you when you want to go, so most likely the end of September, but we will talk and see, and I will let you all know! :thumbsup2

Today is the anniversary of Jordyn's diagnosis. One year ago today our world shattered when the doctor told us that Jordyn not only had cytolomegalo virus, mono virus, and rhinovirus, but she also had leukemia. (The doctors had been reassuring us that it was probably just a virus that was killing her blood counts and causing her exhaustion - They were pretty surprised to find both yucky viruses and cancer)

Jordyn was admitted on June 10th to the children's hospital, and diagnosed on the 12th of June 2012. When she was in the hospital, she was in so much pain, she could barely move without crying out in pain. A 3 year old spent just over a month not wanting to do anything but lay down and rest because of the pain and exhaustion caused by the cancer. After she started the chemo, I was amazed that her counts actually came up, and her energy did as well because it was so low, there was no direction to go BUT up. The first couple of months she would cry if I tried to talk her into going outside. It was rough.

I am so grateful for modern medicine! My daughter is alive now because of it, and she loves to go outside, and she can move with a lot less pain. Yes, chemo makes her feel yucky sometimes and makes her tired, and she needs more rest than other kids her age, but she is here, and she has more energy on the chemo than she did when the cancer had taken over her body.

I am sooo very happy that we have have the opportunity lately to do a few fun things! I feel like we are usually just stuck at home with low counts and when we aren't we don't really have the money to do things that are fun. Anyway... There are thankfully some good organizations like Hope Kids in Utah that help families like us who are consumed by medical bill still be able to get out and do fun things when Jordyn's immune system can handle it.

Jordyn, Jeremy and I were able to go to Alice in Wonderland the ballet with Hope Kids on their dress rehearsal night. It was a lot of fun and Jordyn absolutely loved it! Jeremy even behaved for the most part through it, which I felt very blessed for.

They also do a special night at the zoo in Utah call Dream Night at the Zoo. They do it after the zoo closes and we were invited to go. There was free face painting, we were able to see a lot of the animals, and there were a bunch of fun characters and princesses the kids were able to meet and get their pictures with. It was a really fun time!

Jordyn had a clinic appointment to check in with her doctor, check her blood counts, and get her iv chemo. We are so lucky to have such an amazing doctor who is really invested into Jordyn and really seems to care about her, and is willing to be silly and play with her. I love that at hard things she has to do in her life, she can be with people who care about her and make her smile!

I am so thankful that through our medical trials we are and have been so blessed by others! I really don't know how we would keep going at times without all of the support and blessings we have received as a result of it.

Here is Jordyn's latest movie I did. It shows pictures of her entire cancer journey so far, up till about a month ago. I wish I knew if I could embed a movie on here, but I can't figure it out, so here is a link if you would like to watch it!

I have been sitting on pins and needles the entire month of July waiting for our wish grantors to let us know our dates, and I still don't know them... :( We are probably going to end up calling them because we are really excited to start planning this once in a lifetime family getaway.

We called Make a Wish today, and they just sent the doctor's authorization a few days ago, so we should be able to finalize dates really soon! They are just waiting to get it back! I am so excited and ready to start planning! :cool1: Hopefully sometime next week we can get this amazing ball rolling! :cool1:

On another note, Jordyn had her monthly IV chemo yesterday, and is currently doing her 5 day round of steroids... Bleh... Kids having roid rages can be very difficult! I am not used to Jordyn being very dramatic, but when she is on steroids, watch out world, drama will surely ensue! Other than that, at the moment, she is doing really well. She had a fever a few weeks ago and we had a late night in the emergency room, but she is back to her mostly well self.
