Were back and we had a great time, one I will never forget. Ill try to BRIEFLY (remembering that Im the not very good at briefly writer) give you the travel details. Since Jonna doesnt live by me, my mom and dad brought her too me on Friday. We left Friday night and stayed in Reno Nevada, as that is the closest airport to us. Our flight left as scheduled at 12:07PM Saturday afternoon.
Lst time we went to WDW we connected through Chicago in November. That was a bad idea, and we ended up with a 5-hour delay. So I thought I would be smart and transfer in Houston. Not that smart I guess, as they had had a tornado that day and we were delayed about an hour leaving there. That put us into Orlando at around 11:00PM instead of 10:00PM.
Our Tiffany driver met us a baggage claim, where thankfully all of our luggage arrived, and whisked us away to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I had only made one request, noted on our reservation, and that was that we would really like a bunk bed room. We had only reserved and paid for a standard view and that was fine with us. See, this trip was all about Jonna, and she had seen picture of the bunk beds online and that was all she could talk about. I knew that requests werent guaranteed and I thought about faxing the room request and explaining how much this little girl wanted the bunky beds as she called them, but I didnt. I probably should have.
When we checked in, at midnight, the lady at the front desk looked up our reservation and then disappeared through a back door for about 5 minutes. Not a good sign, when she came back she said that she was all out of bunk bed rooms and offered a room change for the next day if they were important. I explained about Jonnas excitement and asked if the room changed was difficult or took a long time. The check in lady said nope, you just send your luggage to storage in the morning and call from your new room tomorrow and have it delivered, its just a small inconvenience for you because you cant unpack tonight. I said, great and thanks. She also said it would be done in the morning. Just as I left, she said a silent voice message would be left on my phone asking for me to confirm the room change. No problem I said, and we went to our room.
It was nice and the view was fine. We had missed room service so we fed Jonna some Lunchables and everyone went to sleep.
