This is actually only slightly off topic but has anyone been to one of the Jonas Bros concerts?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me approx what time Jonas Bros goes on stage and if Honor Society or Jordan Sparks is the opening act?

Lastly, anyone know how the prices are for the Tshirts and such. we went last year and the shirts were like $40-$50 and i was wondering if that price point still stands...

TIA

We went last year so I'm not sure about this years concert...I wish they were coming to Buffalo....I love them more than my 8 year old daughter but pretend I'm going for her  Last year it was about an hour after the concert started that they came on stage, the tshirts were $30 each, the program was $20

Here's the scoop. Honor Society takes the stage right at 7, for about 20 minutes. They are VERY loud. Bring ear plugs for everyone. Seriously. I've been to many rock concerts over the years, and never been bothered by the noise till Honor Society.

Short intermission. Then Jordin Sparks comes on about 7:30 for 1/2 hour or so. Break for 15 minutes. Then weird girl group from Korea (Wonder Girls?!?) comes on for one song. Short break. JoBros come on nearly exactly at 8:30 and will play nearly exactly till 10:00 or so.

T-shirts start at $35 and go up from there, most over $40. Programs are $20.

We were at the Tulsa concert on June 22nd. Both Honor Society and Jordin Sparks opened. Honor Society came on right around 7 pm. They sang 4 songs. Jessee James was the emcee - she pranced around for awhile (totally unncecessary if you ask me) and introduced Jordin Sparks. She was on for a bit longer than Honor Society - maybe 6 songs. Seems like we left to use the restroom right at the end of her set and it was about a quarter till 8 pm. The Jonas Brothers took the stage around 8 pm and played for a pretty solid 2 hours - we were leaving the arena around 10:15 pm.

T-shirts were $35 to $40 and programs were $20. They had a bunch of other stuff too - we ended up with a light stick for $10 too.

BK Apple Fries were a sponsor and they had a cool little booth in the concourse with a green screen - you could get your photo and they imposed the JB's on the screen and then you can access it online afterwards and get a free print. Have fun - it was a great show!

ETA: I totally agree with the PP about Honor Society. My ears HURT after they left the stage. I might have enjoyed their music if they would have turned it down about 100 decibels. You wouldn't be missing much if you kept to the concourse during their very short set - you'd probably be able to hear them better anyway!

Thanks everyone. i appreciate the scoop. Our show starts at 7:30 (or so the ticket says). I may plan to get there in time to see Jordan Sparks but I am okay missing Honor Society. maybe we will do the apple fry thing (which is SO cool!) or get shirts at that time.

thanks again

OY! we ARE in for a long night. We are scheduled to start at 7:30. so by all accounts honor society will go on at 7:30, JOrdan sparks by 8 and then Jonas by 8:30! i think we won't get out until 10:30 or 11. wow!

LisaNJ- we will be there on Tues night. i had initally thought about getting tickets for both nights but luckily my husband talked some sense into me.

i know it will be a good time and it's great for the kids!

We were there also on Wed. I agree, earplugs were a must!! Jordin did not sing for very long either, 25 minutes tops, then the Wonder Girl came out, YUCK!!!!!!!!!!! That is a good time to get a jump start on the bathroom line. The JoBros played until 10:10. I think all the t-shirts were $35, all the ones we looked at were, the pink one, the blue, the black.

We had a blast thought, with the exception of the Wonder Girls it was a great show.

I am so glad that I read this. We are going in August to the one in B'ham Alabama and I had no idea that it would last that long. We are just over an hour away and my kids have school the next morning. :sad2: It looks like it's gonna be a long night. I am a little shocked that the t shirts are so high. I guess it's been a long time since I've been to a concert but I was thinking around 25.00 or so. Not. It's getting into my Disney money here. :headache::rotfl2:

I paid $40 last year for a concert shirt from the Eagles for me. I know I will wear it for years unlike my daughter

I am making my daughter a shirt with a design someone did over on the Creative Dis board.

Thank you all for posting that tip about the loudness of Honor Society. :scared1: I was still in the concourse when I "saw" them opening for the Jonas Brothers last November in San Diego and wasn't particularly impressed, so I'm probably going to do the same this time!

We're going this Tuesday night, as well! So excited! :woohoo:

Ear plugs are a good idea for *all* concerts, especially for young ears.

The foam types really cut down the volume and they're inexpensive but they really muddy the sound.

We invested in a set of Etymotic ER*20 "high fidelity" plugs. The have a much flatter attenuation curve so the music still sounds pretty good, just not as loud. You still *feel* the thump, thump, thump, but when the concert is over and you take them out, you don't hear that buzz and you can hear each other talk without shouting. They're $12 a pair, which isn't terribly expensive, but you sure don't want to lose them. (Etymotic also makes "Musicians Earplugs" but they're $150-$200 and have to fitted by "licensed hearing professional.")

The regular size comes in different colors, so people can tell their sets apart. They also make "baby blues," which are sized for "small ear canals." We got the baby blues for my 10 year old daughter.

And when your kids hit my age, they might not get sent for a hearing test because they seem to have trouble hearing their husband or wife. :rolleyes1

DD11 and I are going to the same concert! This will be her first concert. We live about 90mins away without all the concert traffic :scared1: We have school the next day so thats going to be a looong day... but Im hoping worth it. We may have to hit the concessions during the honor society singing popcorn::

Where in Bama are you from? We are from Decatur.

oh boy! Going with my d14, dd12 Tuesday, too. Thanks for the info.

Our tickets say no video or audio recording. I'm assuming that regular cameras are allowed.

That's crazy!! We are from Alexander City, but I grew up in B'ham. We use to go camping at Point Mallard a lot when I was small. That's in Decatur, right? My DD and I are going with my sister and my niece to the concert. This will be the girls very first one and boy are they excited. :woohoo:

Does anyone know how much the light up glow things are at the concert? DD saw this on some Jonas Brothers concert video and wants one.

The little lighted wands were $10.

This was exactly it! You hit it on the head. We saw them on Thurs. in Milwaukee. We made shirts from the DI Signs board here. They made cool JB designs and I used Transfer paper so I did not pay the $40. Girls even got tons of compliments and people wanted to know where we bought them. Just something to think about. I used a $4 shirt from Wal-Mart. We did not think the concert ones were overly cool this time. The blue one was okay. Also, they did not have the BK pictures but were handing out apple fries for a snack. We saw them at Summerfest last year and thought it was a better concert. This one was more noise than music IMO. Sorry I had to be honest.
Have fun. EARPLUGS!!!:scared1:
