Took the kids (3 & 7) to see this movie last weekend and the whole family enjoyed it! Great animation, moved right along, good story, and catchy songs. (We loved the music so much we bought the soundtrack and it has replaced the Lilo & Stitch one in the car!)

I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a movie for the family.

Jill....who is trying to talk the kids into seeing it again.. :)

Glad to hear that you liked it.. this movie isn't getting as much press/attention as I would have liked to see...

I love the Veggie Tales, have had them in our house since they first came out (95/96?).

How does it adapt to a full length movie? Were they many people in attendance?

Cindy - This was the very first Veggie Tales show we saw so I can't compare to the videos/tv.

As I said before, our family really liked it! It was nice to see a lot of families in the audience.

And now I keep singing that song - We are the pirates who don't do anything... we just stay home and lie around..and if you ask us to do anything...we'll just tell you - we don't do anything! :)

Great movie!!!!

Jill

We're still waiting for it to get into a theatre near us!Can't wait to see it though.

Jill!! I just accompanied my DD's PreK class and WHOLE school on a field trip to see this movie today!! I can't believe how incredibly well ALL these kids did sitting through the movie. (With previews & credits, it runs about 1-1/2 hrs) The class age started at 3yo, thru 8th grade!

It was the first Veggie Tale movie that I've watched from start to finish myself! We have several tapes as, DS grew up with them but, I never watched an entire movie myself. :o It was good, it was well written for kids, imo, so that they understand the story and the 'moral' in 'kidspeak', all the while being cute and entertaining!

We had an entire theater to ourselves for a 'private' party! It was just wonderful!! :)

(LOL, after the movie, DD mentioned the caterpillar who had a 'worm' for a father, it was hysterical!!!) :p

dw seen it last weekend while I was golfing...didn't say much about it..neither did the girls..

My mother and I went out to see Veggie Tales on opening night during our Hawaiian vacation. We both enjoyed the movie and now joke about moist towelettes. But honestly, I think the most interesting part about our visit to the cinema is that you can buy Spam musubi at the concession stand there.

The First Baptist Church of Orlando always does a big premiere for Veggie Tales. Tickets cost $2, the Christian radio station shows up, Chick-Fil-A, and a bunch of kiddie things. There are big screens set up There are big screens set up near the alter and all of the pews fill up. The sanctuary seats about 6,000, so it is really big. Then everyone sings along to the theme song. It is such a blast.

So that is from an older video tape... I have that full length tape. Its one of the first few tapes, we have it here at home.

I was wondering if the songs were new or recycled... I gues they are recycled...

Sounds like it is pretty similiar to the tapes. My kids are sort of outrgrowing the tapes... well, they have been watching them for about 6 years...
