It is sad that there life is a circus now. I hope the show is cancelled soon. I saw there first special on tv today, and it is so obvious how much they have changed. In that special, she and Jon sat close together and seemed happy. Now they both roll their eyes and act as though they'd both rather be in anywhere else than on that couch together. So sad.
Is it that they don't want to be there together, or they don't want to be there at all? I wonder if they are sick of doing the show (by some of Kate's comments it could be taken that way), but are stuck with either a contract or because it is their primary source of imcome. Kate seems to be doing more appearances now...yes, the kids are older and Jon is home so she has more flexibility to be gone, but it could also be their way of "changing careers" to get out from under TLC while still having income.
As far as the children go, I wish the best for them. Every child is different no matter how much DNA they share. There could be 101 reasons why each child acts perfect or acts out. But how good is it for the tantrums to be shown on TV? How good is it for the child? I really wonder if those kids that act out or do anything at all that other kids can find to make fun of are being made fun of in school. Kids often act one way in school and another at home, so other kids don't necessarily know about tantrums, bed wetting, blankies, etc, but when it is all over the TV for classmates to see does it impact relationships with other kids?
I think Kate has something along the lines of that the show is capturing the family as it really is, but would it really be so bad to request TLC not show so many tantrums? Yes they do happen, but for the children's sake do they have to show one a week of Maddy? ( I haven't been "carefully watching" for the last couple seasons, but before it seemed to be at least once an episode she had a meltdown--maybe for a good reason.) Seriously, at this point I think TLC needs to take a little responsibility for their editing for the children's sake.
