That's funny you posted abou this. I caught it really late last night, and had never heard of it before. I thought it was good, but from what I saw (I fell asleep) I think she is a bit testy. (Actually, another word could be b**chy....)

But then again, who wouldn't with all the crazyness of her house? I guess I don't blame her...

Wasn't it on Discovery health. I saw a preview on TLC and it looked interesting but I don't get the channel it was on.

Me too. There were some moments when they clearly have a great sense of humor. There were also moments when they seemed really, really unhappy.

Oh I thought it was going to be on TLC...that stinks I missed it because I really wanted to see it too

I watched an hour long show when the older girls were 5 and the little ones were 16 months. I didn't catch the show last night.

I get the feeling that while they do their best to hold it together with as much humor as possible, they do seem pretty unhappy. I am actually really surprised they decided to do a series, since they made it very clear on the show I watched that their situation is not what they had hoped for. Not that anyone would hope for it, and maybe they are just being more honest than some of the other shows where the family acts like eveyrthing is perfet and they love it.

I wondered whether the parent's marriage would survive, since at times they didn't seem to like one another very much, either. Did anyone see the time they went out to dinner with a family of quints? I don't remember seeing a mother with that bunch.

unhappy?? nahh I think stressed out is more like it! Did you see where she got the tummy tuck and her and dh were alone for the weekend? they said something along the lines of "they really do love each other, but they are just gumpy with each other from the stress of daily life", I can TOTALLY relate to that! Me and Dh are always grumpy with each other... but we are really in love... others might not see it.. but we know its there!

and when they were out eating with the other family the dad of the other's said where the mom was... either sick, working or something like that.

I hear what you are saying Helene, but living with years and years of a grumpy spouse who can't meet your needs for affection and attention and adult companionship, is enough to kill even the strongest marriage.

I am glad they had a weekend alone, though. And glad to hear she got a tummy tuck - did you see her belly? Wow!

I watched last night and I like them but I think Kate would make me crazy. I understand her cleaning obsession, she is trying to control one small part of her out-of-control life, but geesh, washing the floor on her hands and knees three times/day???!!!

Once the kiddos get older, I am sure her life will get easier and it is easy to see that she and Jon love their kids.

I totally agree with this mrsv! This is where I thought she seemed the most "crabby." I know she says she "is very OCD," but even still, it seemed like she was rudely talking down to any of the people she interviewed for the job.

I know I like my house to be a certain way too. but when you have that many kids, there are some things you just have to let go control of. The house is definitely one.

I think her and her DH have kind of that "joke and put down" kind of relationship. If it works for them, great....but she just seemed so crabby and unhappy to me.
