Who's to say who had the affair first? I would guess that only they are privy to the exact time table... Regardless of who did what, the fact remains that she appears to be an absolute monster!

Well, I have two thoughts about Maddie. Either they are playing up the behavior by showcasing the negative things when maybe they are only 1% of the time or she really has a serious disorder. I feel bad for her and you can tell her parents do as well as they make excuses for her and try to spin it. She really is well beyond the normal range if the show is portraying her typical behavior. DD6 watches it and I tell her flat out that Maddie is mean and very unpleasant to be around. I mean wacking her siblings, throwing fits, and being beyond bossy. It is a good cautionary tale for my dd. She really sees what that behavior looks like. She agrees that "she needs to be kind and make better choices".

I think Kate is a good mother but she is a crappy wife. I don't know why she thinks it's OK to talk to anyone like that esp. the man she supposedly loves. Everyone gets upset sometimes but she is just as over the edge as her daughter. It really makes me sick to watch it. I can see why he was seeking love and acceptance somewhere else.
I can tell you if my dh talked to me that way he would be kicked to the curb.

Really, they both messed up. Kate hasn't been a model wife, but who would be if you had 8 little kids. Not to mention everything you do is on TV.

She did drive him to make the mistake, but that isn't an excuse. There isn't an excuse for what he did, assuming he did it.

They are both to blame for getting into this situation and they are both wrong. It doesn't make a difference which "side" you think you're on with this, they messed up.

Ryan Seacrest said on his radio show Friday afternoon that he interviewed a close family member (Kevin? Jodi?) and they said Jon has been sleeping above the garage for months and Kate has made him sign a contract stating that when the film crew is around he will act like everything is fine and that they're working through things so they can still have their show, get publicity, get endorsements/freebies, etc...

I was in a LONG WalMart line the other day and there were 5 magazines with them on the cover. I skimmed through a few of the articles (not saying everything printed is true,) but WOW is all I have to say if they are! I think the problem is that they've created this life that they cannot financially maintain if the show goes away and now they're panicking!

Sorry...I don't buy it...I think Kevin and Jodi are just awful. If they are doing it "for the kids" bashing their parents in the media is not the way to do it. Just ask my kids how they feel about parent bashing....they don't like their Grandma on their dad's side at all because of her constant bashing of me when we got divorced. When you are 7 and hear your Grandma call your mother a "stupid witch" but with a b, not a w, you are not going to think fondly of that person.

If they want to be in those kids lives they just blew it....

I can't blame Jon for being a little fed up with the whole situation. I would never, ever ever ask my husband if he was stupid as she's done in the past. She seems to be a real drama queen.

I have watched the show from the beginning, the kids are just adorable and that is the reason I watch it...but Kate has been an obnoxious witch from the beginning..her attitute towards EVERYONE is atrocious and uncalled for. She never lets Jon get a word in and when he does try and help out she says he is doing everything wrong. She gives 'tude to her friends, the people that film the show, strangers on the street even...I swear the lady needs mental attention.

The kids are just adorable with the exception of Maddy...that child has ADHD or something...sadly she takes after the mother and instead of getting the kid help they enable her to act this way by ignoring her. Whenever Maddy is in a scene I need to change the channel, that kid is horrid!

I think the show would have been off the air along time ago if it wasnt for Kate's greed "money for the kids" by keeping the show on. In the beginning Kate said she had no fashion sense at all and wore sweats and tees and bare feet...now, every single picture she is in she is wearing Ann Taylor Loft clothes (I know because she has all of my outfits on!!) So for someone who didnt know what clothes went together she is certainly learning ASAP.

I dont know if Jon will leave her, he should but the thought of child support for 8 kids probably scares him to death and it may be the end of the money train (their show) if they split up...in any event I hope they keep their yaps shut for the sake of the 8 kids.

The thing with Kate is that she thinks she knows it all. Everything! As I have watched the shows this weekend you can see that there was a love between them. But my opinion they have to get therapy and cut the shows to once a year. Let her do a book about getting her marriage back together and Jon a book about living with a "perfect" wife. These kids deserve to be raised by both parents. Kate needs to be controlling, she has 8 kids it goes with organization. Though she needs to control that doesn't mean she has to belittle Jon. Imagine the abuse he takes from friends about how she acts toward him, if anything thats what has caused their problems.

As far as the kids go its going to be horrible for Maddy when she gets older (middle school and higher) because she is always going to remembered for her behavior. I feel bad for Cara. She is a quiet one that seems to love her brothers and sisters. She is good and always helps with the younger kids but Maddy is the one that gets the praise for being nice to her siblings for 1 minute. To watch Maddy hit and kick her siblings and then try to hug them when she sees the camera caught it on tape really bothers me bacause she knows that she is doing wrong and trying to get away with it. Her parents need to realize that she will not grow out of this behavior that she needs therapy. She is so jealous of the little ones. So sad. Funny how her middle name is Kate and she is mommy's little girl.
