OK, I'm pretty sure they showed potty time when they were potty training. If you're talking about potty training, there will probably be some potty footage. I saw no more of them than I see of the kids at DS's school when they go potty. Actually, I probably see more of those kids. They're all potty training and like to run around with their pull-ups around their ankles.

Just wondering how many MILLIONS of people saw DS and his friends running around school w/ the pull ups on national tv?

Oh my I had forgotten about DF and her made up life LOL

Anyway I like Kate I like her mean and I like her nice . Not everyone can be nice all the time and if you are then you need to reduce your amount of medication. My Dh would move if I was nice everyday 24 hours a day ;)

As far as friends go and them being on the show why does it have to be Kate ? do you guys really think that Jon has no say ? or that the network cant control her . I wouldnt want my life looked at all the time , God bless em for lettting us see what we see. I mean have you ever seen one of the adults go to the bathroom ?? Nope but you know they go LOL point being we dont see everything that is going on .
Who knows maybe Aunt Jodi got bad acne and doesnt want to be seen , Maybe her friend put on 50 lbs and doesnt want people on the DIS to judge her bawahahaa

I've had several friends on American Idol and one who made it to the top three (George Huff...we did opera together!!). They get their perks, too (in response to some stuff regarding "reality tv" vs "real actors"), and they're not "real actors" either.

My point is that it's a lot of money for a production company of a cable to show to invest in a family without expecting that there will be some sort of longevity or commitment on Jon & Kate's show. It isn't as big, from a popularity standpoint as the shows I've referenced, or Friends, Will & Grace, etc.

Now it is possible that the company is gifting them this house, in the same way the PP mentioned about other TV stars. I hadn't thought of it that way.

It just seems like a big leap to me for Jon & Kate without a move for a job, to be closer to family, etc. - moving away from the children's friends, their church, school, etc. But, people do that sort of thing all the time. It just isn't for me. I like staying put. LOL.

OK, smarty pants! :p I'm just saying that it comes with the territory. There was nothing inappropriate seen on tv. Are you also against the parents that post embarassing pictures in the back of high school yearbooks? I've seen a few plumbers rear ends and fingers up the nose in those things.

Wow, I really just typed "post" in the back of yearbooks. I meant put...like, buy the ad. I think I need to take a messageboard break. I also made a typo in one of my posts today and didn't even care. Oh, man. What's happening to me??

P.S. My ad in my senior yearbook would have been a bubble bath shot had I not taken an adorable picture in my mom's college mortar board. Hehe!

I find it interesting how many people will believe some of this stuff hook, line and sinker.

I find it interesting how many people didn't believe Julie was Jodi's sister before the video.

I also find it interesting how many people believe those who dislike the show pretend to have close, personal relationships with the Gosselin family.

Someone finally said I was smart ;) I would rather the kids be a little older to help make the decision I guess.

In all seriousness I graduated HS in 1982 I think I'd remember nakedness in our yearbook :lmao: Holy crap I'm old. Need to learn the new "fuzzy math" I think.

By the way, your kids are adorable!

It's the internet!! Heck no, I won't be believing everything I read. Are you crazy??? :yo-yo:

Who thinks people who dislike the show pretend to have close relationships? There are thousands of people, I estimate, who dislike the show. I don't believe they all pretend to know the family?

I still think "Jodi's sister" kidnapped Jodi in an evil plan to rid the world of reality tv. Maybe that's just me...

Well, I graduated in 2002, and there were still bum-bums (DS's phrase) amidst the index.

Thanks...I'm trying to figure out how to get them on TLC. ;)

Actually, the little princess is my DNiece. Mickey is DSActuallyCousinI'mRaisingSinceTheDeathOfHisMotherIn2006. Wow, that would be a long acronym.

Also, if you want to get into it, I think they need to drop the charade of "this is a special treat" or "we saved up for this". It is obvious now that they have money, so don't act like I have half a brain. Also, when they show the store name, you can bet that they are getting a freebie. If you can afford to look at "properties" with a horse barn, then I think you can afford to take your kids out for specials days or a shopping trip to Banana Republic Outlet.

The special treat references bug me ... only because their lives are full of special treats. That's what the show is about now, more or less. And to be honest with you, I'm not sure though, what the show is about now.

By their own admission, JK8 wanted to document their lives in the early episodes. Much of it was spent showing the day to day stuff and now it's more on their outings. At least when they're showing the day to day stuff, people can relate to the feeding family, organizing the garage, etc. The outings aren't things that people could go out and do - at least not in the same way as JK8. What's next? Longer vacations? More elaborate day trips? I'm not sure where I see the long-term appeal there. (And I don't mean that in a jealous way. I really don't. I get that there perks and production involved with a TV show.)

Obviously, Figure8 knows what they're doing ... and if they don't, they must be thanking their lucky stars at all the free attention their show is getting on the internet :lmao:

Am I having deja vu? Or were you gone for this conversation, Miss I-Just-Can't-Stay-Away? ;)

Show would be boring if it remained day-to-day, etc., etc. The destination episodes are perfect for the show's target audience, and so on. They're not going on these trips every week, back-to-back, but it might seem that way to the novice viewer because they are on a new trip every week. Yeah. I think that was it.

Hehe...see what happens when you leave? You can never leave!!

I really think Jon has no say. I'm pretty sure Jodi knows why she isn't on the show anymore; and she's communicated that. Beth hasn't spoken for herself so the gen. pop. is not certain.

Someone posted earlier about Beth Carson. I can't get the link to post, but go to wiki answers and ask this question: "What happened to Kate's friend Beth Carson?"

It's just about the same thing that happened with Jodi. Kate being greedy about anyone else getting paid. Also, it says they are taking Beth's name off Kate's book.

Even though I love the show,
Has anyone noticed the constant in your face product placement? I'm thinking "We know you drink Juicy Juice and your kids wear Gap." It just seems the products are taking over. I'm waiting for Tide or All laundry detergent to step up and then we'll see more scenes in the laundry room so they can display their products.

What is so out of the ordinary about their outings? They may get some special treatment because of the size of the group, but to go somewhere like an amusement park or a train museuem a couple of times a month seems pretty normal to me. Before my kids were so involved with sports we did something every weekend so to me the things they do are fairly typical.

You know...if it weren't for people complaining about product placement I wouldn't notice.

I agree, I dated a guy before I got married and his ex wife was complaining about when his kids would come visit us they had "too much fun" and that wasn't everyday life. For us it was, we went to the zoo, the beach, camping, pretty much every weekend if his kids were there or not, so that was normal life.

But you wouldn't find Kate in the laundry room...and she won't want the laundry lady to get paid by the show....so nah, don't think it will happen.

I do laundry for 4 people and there is ALWAYS a pile of dirty clothes and I swear I do laundry every day. I can't imagine doing laundry for 10 people especially if 6 of them were 4!! I would love if I had someone to do my laundry!!

Good thing Scott toilet paper isn't a sponsor. Then they'd never get the cameras out of the bathroom.
