I just have to say again, I don't get all the anger towards them. Why does anyone here care, seriously?
They are taking care of their family, you may not agree with it, but I would rather see them get corporate sponsorship than government funding

I wonder if the Roloff father would have had a different outcome for his DUI offense, if he wasnt on TV?

Look at all the free things celebrities get and they can more than afford all of them. It is one of the perks.

I have a feeling I've seen CottonCandyLvr's posts before, but under a completely different name.

The J & K internet police, oops, excuse me, I mean CottonCandyLvr has posted elsewhere as I've read their posts using the same I.D., same posting "style", wording, etc.

I believe CCL posted on TWOP quite a bit, always swooping in for the "kill" when anyone posted anything remotely kind/positive about J & K plus 8.

Unbelievably sad commentary on the state of ones life when one is absolutely consumed with the daily task of trying to destroy the lives of complete strangers!

nope. Juicy Juice is not organic ... at least not the bottles they've shown on the show. I wouldn't be surprised if they had an organic label, though... since so many other brands seem to these days. LOL

I'll play devil's advocate for a minute.

There are people that do the EXACT same thing on this board (and other boards & blogs across the internet) ... in defense of Jon & Kate. Always quick to point out things they see as inaccuracies and lies.

It's a 2 way street.

I still don't get the intense devotion to either side. It makes no sense to me. Because, for as much as I enjoy participating in this thread, it's for my own entertainment as much as anything. KWIM? At the end of the day, Jon & Kate Gosselin have absolutely no bearing on my life. LOL.

Yea, or go by himself? Kate needs her trips, and to be in or everything.

I never dump all 4 of my kids on one family member at one time ever. Unless it is with my mom for like an hour or so.

If my DH was having surgery (elective or not) I would be the one to go with him.

I only have 2 kids, but I have "dumped" them with family members or friends to go to Vegas/Disney/Jamaica. The girls and the family/friends have all survived. Should she have watched Jodi's kids? Yep, but maybe Jodi never asked, who knows?? (oh wait, I'm sure Cottoncandylvr knows!! )

I agree, who cares what they get or don't get, the kids look happy and healthy to me and you can't get a bunch of 4 year olds to look happy if they aren't.

Me neither. Mostly I love the show, but occasionally I disagree (poor Joel should have been able to help with the cake) but when it comes down to my life, I don't lose any sleep or get "angry" over shows.

The show has actually made us laugh at our life more. When I snap at my DH we will laugh and say, "omg can you imagine if we were on a reality show, I can see the message boards now, Michelle was so mean to John again can you believe that poor man puts up with that witch" (I'm not a witch, but I am a little high maintenance ) Luckily my DH loves me so he just usually laughs off my High maintenance behavior, but if we were on tv I would get ripped apart for being mean!!

Yeah, I do find myself in daily life wondering "What if this moment in my family's life was on TV?" I mean, with all the "hang up your jacket" "Move your dance bag" "put your socks in the hamper" "Put away your shoes" "The towel does not belong on the floor" that I do every day, they could edit an episode where that was ALL I said!

DH and I have been known to get into knockdown dragout fights because we are both so incredibly stubborn and known to really dig our heels in when one of us feels the other is wrong. I wouldn't want the whole world going, "HOMG she is SO mean to her poor husband. All he did was throw his clothes on the floor instead of in the hamper! She didn't have to set fire to his beloved chunk of the original Astroturf from Texas Stadium. That was just plain old MEAN."

DH and I have been known to get into knockdown dragout fights because we are both so incredibly stubborn and known to really dig our heels in when one of us feels the other is wrong. Right....the show has made me realize that if a wife wants tidiness, or to have her husband watch the kids instead of zipping off on his bike, or whatever, SHE is the one who ends up sounding bad. (But, of course, when the house is a wreck, SHE is the one who gets the criticism.)

I think that Kate goes to extremes to keep her house clean. There is no way in heck you'd catch ME down on the floor on my hands and knees scrubbing away to make sure it was really really clean. Now, I have switched from using chemicals to using natural cleaning products like vinegar and water (even if my house does smell like a pickle barrel) but that's about as 'extreme' as I get.

Exactly. I hate the way that Kate talks to Jon. Then I have to wonder if it is because she is frustrated with having to ask him to help with something that is right in front of him. when is the last time you've seen Kate on her hands & knees doing that kind of cleaning? She hired a cleaning service in one of the early episodes ... LOL

I don't know, Kate's obsession with things being clean and in order I think she would still be cleaning herself even with a cleaning service. But really for us to be fair either way on these observations we would have to see their lives 24-7.

Last time I went out of town for the weekend with the kids to see my parents, my hubby cleaned and shined the hard wood floors. That was nothing short of a miracle, but well appreciated for sure.
I keep our home clean but I don't enjoy cleaning!!

That is why so many wives come off as witches. The husband and wife both have kids. The husband is not the babysitter. Yet, the husband often doesn't know what needs to be done with his own kids, and thus it can be so easy to talk to him like another one of the kids.

Right. Which is why you have to walk a mile in someone else's shoes. Amy Roloff can come off as being harsh with her husband too but he is another big kid that is constantly starting new projects.

No wonder why Kate has such a strong instinct to keep her children away from strangers. I can't say I blame her.

So many people have accused people that are critical of the Gosselins of being so rabid and mentally ill that we were capable of stealing the kids away to protect them!
But the fact of the matter is that statistically, its the UBERFANS that don't wanna hear the truth no matter what, that in the end turn on the "star" and hurt them.
Selena, John Lennon, Rebecca Shaffer, Bjork, David Spade, Brad Pitt, Jodie Foster, Versace etc.
All Killed, Hurt, or Stalked by FANS who "just wanted to be closer or were hurt by something the star had done after years and years of being very very loyal fans".
Its the fans who cant see reality, that once it hits them they fall hard.
In Germany stars are presented as 2 separate people. In photos of Madonna in her lingerie and bustier up on stage they say "Madonna, Als Schauspielerin" (As Entertainer) and in photos of her jogging in NYC, "Madonna in privat" or Madonna als selbst" (in private or as herself) ...In America the line is blurred so people watching Tv cant separate the tv life from the private and in the case of the Gosselins, the Tv studio wants it to stay blurred so they can feed you a stream of goods all on the backs of real children.
The sad thing here is that the Uberfans want the truth to go away so they can get back to watching the very show that is exploiting the very kids they claim to LOVE SO MUCH, so in this case they are already loving too much...

While I agree that Jon Gosselin has done some boneheaded things on the show ... he does a LOT of the work with the kids. Bath & bedtime routine, playing outside. Kate basically sits and tells him what to do most of the time. At least she has in the last couple of episodes.
