You're absolutely right! Regular posters here do not begrudge anyone their opinion - positive or negative.(and, while I'm a fan of the show, I do agree with what you said) That is what a message board is all about! Unfortunately though, many posters come here just to rip this family apart. It's one thing to voice an opinion - we're all entitled to one. But it's another thing to just come on and bash. And you'll see that this thread attracts ALOT of those types of posters!

Now as for that blog and Jodi's video on it -- all I can say is WOW! In my mind, it now makes that blog all the more credible and clearly there is something very nasty going on in the family. I'm going to keep in mind though that there are two sides to every story and we are only hearing one side of it. If everything Jodi's sister has written about Jon and Kate is 100% true then I don't think very highly of them anymore. But, quite frankly, airing all of this dirty laundry over the internet does not lead me to think very highly of the other side of the family either. I'm mean really, I don't feel sorry for Jodi! That blog - and all the nastiness in it - does not help the situation AT ALL! It seems to me that everyone involved is looking for some attention right now and it's all just incredibly sad to me.

If, at the end of the day, everyone involved wants to maintain that they're only concerned about the well-being of the children, then they have all failed miserably: Jon and Kate have failed because of how they have alienated the rest of their family; and Jodi and her family has failed for taking this family matter and spread it out all across the internet for the world to see. Right now, I'm finding them all pretty shameful!

My thoughts exactly. Kate may be all the things that the blog says, but Jodi isn't exactly taking the high road by letting all this stuff be spread around by her sister.

Has there been any mention anywhere that Jodi & Kate tried to mend fences? There is the possibility that Jodi or Kate tried, it failed, and Jodi was left feeling so frustrated that she turned to YouTube? (don't laugh, people air dirty laundry on YouTube all the time these days, LOLOL)

You cannot mend fences with someone who thinks they are far more special then everyone else, and cannot say "I'm sorry".

Kate's one sister Christen asked Kate if Kate would add her Etsy jewelry listing to their website and Kate told her, "Yes, if you pay me $150.00 a month"
They don't speak anymore.
Clairissa was asked to choose between Kate and Mom&Dad.
Kendra and Kate had a blow out over Thanksgiving, they no longer speak either.
The rumors about Kate and church donations and her Dads church are true.

All in all Kates family supports what Jodi did, that oughta tell you something.

And by the way, it is completely Christian to judge people who are doing wrong and to speak out against them.

I can understand why Jodi went public. She has been wronged and the people who wronged her are smiling for the camera, acting like nothing happened, making money hand over fist, and getting rewarded with freebies.

Someone needed to expose Jon and Kate for the fakes they truly are. I'm glad they did.

I can't wait for the day when this show is over and the crew who have been part of all of this taping can come forward and tell their stories. I can only imagine what they've seen and heard.

You know when people come out years later and say,"I wish people would have spoken out. I wish people would have fought for me"

Julie and Jodi were the ones that at least tried! Everyone else just used the kids for money!

It was stated that the cameras are only there a few days a week, or even a few days a month. Are you related to the family? I think the entire family has some serious issues but honestly, obsessively posting lies on here reflects more on you than it does on the family. Maybe you should spend more time with your own family rather than making up a screen name on a random message board just to start drama...

I agree with a PP poster though. Yearly specials would be good to see how the ids have changed. What started as a simple reality sow is turning the family (as well as the general population) against Jon, Kate and the kids. I can't see them continuing with it for much longer.

As much as I enjoy watching the show and think the kids are the cutest I think with all this sniping that goes on it might be time for TLCto back off and just do specials.

So where is that footage because they haven't shown any shows at home lately.

I didn't want to hang out with other mom's and kids when my girls were younger either....so don't blame her there.

Me either, my kids never had play dates and we never were in any mom and me groups...yuck! Yet my kids all adjusted pretty well, they played with the neighborhood kids (without me being attached at their hips) I hardly ever said 2 words to the moms of those kids. Considering that 2 of them are in college, one majoring in English and the other to be a lawyer and #3 is in highschool in all honors classes I think we did ok without doing all the Mom stuff. I also never sat and did crafts with my kids (oh the horror)

I'm intrigued by CottonCndyLvr (or however the screen name is spelled) ... either this poster is connected somehow to what's going on or has read more than any of us on all the message boards and blogs. I think this one should stay for a while. LOL.

I don't understand why new is synonomous with fake...and what is a fake account anyway? I was accused of this after reading (occassionally) for months and finally joining. If someone doesn't have a gazillion posts, why are they fake? I think whoever loves cotton candy is interesting. Nobody is going to make up those specifics.....there is at least some inside skinny!

Most that get accused of being a troll or having a fake account is one who seems like they join with one purpose in mind and that is to come on a particular thread with the intention of stirring up trouble. Obviously not every newcomer is a troll because we all have to have our first post somewhere.

I'm not either. CottonCandy's account was created in May 2008, not just this week. Maybe she is just a lurker who finally decided to speak out. Who knows, maybe she is a family member or a crew member or a neighbor. We'll probably never know, but some things she has said seem too "real" to be made up.

Kate has an Image Consultant and PR firm now.
That is why you see stupid "happy" articles in the magazines lately. It is all fluff to get new watchers involved. They have also been trying to remake the show into a cozy happy show and get Kate to seem involved with her kids.
But people are seeing through the damage control.
It's also turning regular moms off that she was looking at a 1.9 million dollar house.
Oh by the way, their beach house they rented in Corolla? It was cited for high levels of Coliform Bacteria 5 times in 2008.

I continue to watch because of the kids. They are totally adorable. I pay more attention to Kate now though, I didn't really before.

I never thought them getting trips and stuff was a big deal. I figured they are on a TV show, the TV show wants them to go places to make the show more interesting...so what if the show pays for it? I don't understand why some people get so upset by that. The kid's looked like they had a blast at Sesame Place, who cares who paid for it?

The seperation from family and friends does bother me though. Maybe Jodie shouldn't have done the video, but from what I've seen she is a lovely person who was probably pushed to the brink and more and more, I doubt she would have been able to "mend fences" with Kate, video or no video. Maybe it isn't so terrible that she is speaking out. Maybe people do need to know some of what really goes on. Kate does seem to be attempting to change some of her behavior...at least for the cameras.

I've read Julie's blog. Do you think she would get her point across the same way if she threw in some good things about the Gosselins? Of course she's going to say negative things because isn't her goal to make Kate look bad? It's the same reason you can't post positive things on the GWoP site. When the goal is to create a negative picture, you don't want any positives slipping through.

Where are all her nursing days friends? Where are her family, HER grandparents? Where are her high school friends?
Simple. Kate uses people and throws you away. She is not a nice person, not a good parent, not a good friend.
Recently the Gosselin's neighbors called a local radio station FM97 and said they don't like them and wish they'd move.

There is nothing nice to say about Kate.

There was an article about the show that stated taping is done over a three day period. Two days are used for taping and the third is used for the couch interviews. The swim instructors article stated that during the Gosselin's two week vacation, the cameras were there for only one week. I don't agree with the bedroom night vision type cameras, but they haven't shown much from those anyway.

That was about the first years taping, now they are there all the time, especially with the grueling 40-50 show taping schedule this season.

Also, the swim girls weren't there all day, they know nothing.

I think the hidden cameras are sick. Poor Aaden was shown crying for his daddy all alone and cried himself to sleep.
Why don't people see that as an invasion of personal privacy and human rights?

No, I'm not and I am also smart enough to know that this is a TV show and not real life. I don't read more or less into than I do any other tv show that I sit and watch. I also don't care what she is or really isn't like on or off the show since it doesn't have anything to do with me.
