When J&K are home they are filmed all the time.
Recently we were told J&K had allowed the installation of hidden cameras in the kids rooms that the kids don't know about. Isn't that disturbing?

It was stated that the cameras are only there a few days a week, or even a few days a month. Are you related to the family? I think the entire family has some serious issues but honestly, obsessively posting lies on here reflects more on you than it does on the family. Maybe you should spend more time with your own family rather than making up a screen name on a random message board just to start drama...

I agree with a PP poster though. Yearly specials would be good to see how the ids have changed. What started as a simple reality sow is turning the family (as well as the general population) against Jon, Kate and the kids. I can't see them continuing with it for much longer.

This season they have 40-50 shows to do, they need lots of footage for that!
They film all the time!

Also, the reason they are doing all these outings is cause(1) Kate no longer cooks, cleans or does any MOM stuff and Kate doesn't like nor hang out with other Moms so they need to do SOMETHING. (2) They have become a walking billboard (like the Dionne Quints) and they get all the trips free.

So where is that footage because they haven't shown any shows at home lately.

I didn't want to hang out with other mom's and kids when my girls were younger either....so don't blame her there.

Now as for that blog and Jodi's video on it -- all I can say is WOW! In my mind, it now makes that blog all the more credible and clearly there is something very nasty going on in the family. I'm going to keep in mind though that there are two sides to every story and we are only hearing one side of it. If everything Jodi's sister has written about Jon and Kate is 100% true then I don't think very highly of them anymore. But, quite frankly, airing all of this dirty laundry over the internet does not lead me to think very highly of the other side of the family either. I'm mean really, I don't feel sorry for Jodi! That blog - and all the nastiness in it - does not help the situation AT ALL! It seems to me that everyone involved is looking for some attention right now and it's all just incredibly sad to me.

I agree with you, Camster ... on all counts. I think this really has turned into a very sad story. These people are family.

This is a situation that has really spiraled out of control in a very short time span - I had heard of Jon & Kate Plus 8 late last year/earlier in the year, I caught a couple of the earlier episodes on TLC. Then it seemed like out of nowhere (around March/April, maybe?) there was all sorts of internet buzz going on. I'm sure talk about the show was floating around sooner, message boards were getting shut down already by that time. I don't know the start date of this thread, but judging from the length of it, I'd guess it was several months ago. Anyway, over the summer? WOW. Talk of this show has spread like wildfire!

At any rate, I think your comment about attention is right on - I think all parties involved are screaming for it. And they're certainly getting it ... I wouldn't be surprised to see this all play out on national TV. November sweeps, anyone? I can see Jon & Kate on Oprah now ... (Oprah owns the Discovery Channel/TLC)

If, at the end of the day, everyone involved wants to maintain that they're only concerned about the well-being of the children, then they have all failed miserably: Jon and Kate have failed because of how they have alienated the rest of their family; and Jodi and her family has failed for taking this family matter and spread it out all across the internet for the world to see. Right now, I'm finding them all pretty shameful!

I agree with that; there's definitely something going on. But running online to whine about it isn't the way to deal with it. If Jodi truly wanted to make things better she'd turn to her family and talk to Jon and Kate themselves. If she truly cared about the kids she wouldn't air their dirty laundry for millions of strangers on the internet. As hard as it may be for her and as much as she may dislike Jon and Kate, they're still the kid's parents and being so blatantly vicious out in the public eye is only going to hurt the kids. In my opinion, by doing what they did Jodi and her sister proved to be the immature and tacky ones, and Jodi pretty much kissed any chance of a reconciliation goodbye while hurting the kids in the process.

One thing we don't know ... and maybe it's been addressed somewhere and I missed it while I was moving DS to his college dorm this week

Has there been any mention anywhere that Jodi & Kate tried to mend fences? There is the possibility that Jodi or Kate tried, it failed, and Jodi was left feeling so frustrated that she turned to YouTube? (don't laugh, people air dirty laundry on YouTube all the time these days, LOLOL)

I'm not necessarily that I agree with Jodi's decision to go public. I can see both sides there. I don't think it's helping the controversy around JK8. It's definitely adding fuel to the fire there. But at the same time, it does give some legitimacy to all the people that claimed Jodi's sister's blog was a bunch of hooey. Jodi obviously felt it was time to speak her version of the truth. Staying silent was becoming less and less of an option for her, I guess.

I can understand why Jodi went public. She has been wronged and the people who wronged her are smiling for the camera, acting like nothing happened, making money hand over fist, and getting rewarded with freebies.

Someone needed to expose Jon and Kate for the fakes they truly are. I'm glad they did.

I can't wait for the day when this show is over and the crew who have been part of all of this taping can come forward and tell their stories. I can only imagine what they've seen and heard.

She was in many previous episodes and now has vanished. They never even mention her or her daughter (who was close with the Gosselin twins) anymore. Anyone know why?

I don't understand why new is synonomous with fake...and what is a fake account anyway? I was accused of this after reading (occassionally) for months and finally joining. If someone doesn't have a gazillion posts, why are they fake? I think whoever loves cotton candy is interesting. Nobody is going to make up those specifics.....there is at least some inside skinny!

I'm not either. CottonCandy's account was created in May 2008, not just this week. Maybe she is just a lurker who finally decided to speak out. Who knows, maybe she is a family member or a crew member or a neighbor. We'll probably never know, but some things she has said seem too "real" to be made up.

I know one thing, I sure don't watch the show the same way I used to. I notice things more now. I thought the beach episode with the pudding was intriguing and I don't know that I would have even thought about it before, but Kate standing off to the side saying..."See, I let them get messy, I handled it." was very telling. I don't know who she was trying to convince, herself or us, but I definitely thought of the whole pudding scene was a reponse to so many people commenting on her phobia of messes and not letting the kids be kids...especially after the Crayola Factory episode and the ice cream scene at Disney.

Does anyone know what happened to Beth? For some reason it just really surprises me that she isn't around anymore. She seemed to be the one person Kate really liked and they did seem to be friends. Does she still see J&K and the kids, but just isn't filmed for the shows?

Also I distinctly remember Kate talking about the twins going over to their friends houses to play and Maddie talking about going over to a friends house. So it does seem that the twins at least do have outside friends.

Beth and Kate had a falling out soon after the Utah trip.
TLC also offered to pay Beth and Bob to continue filming inside their house and Kate would not allow that.
I think that was the straw that broke the camels back.
Look, Beth is a loving good Christian woman. She answered the call to help care for the infant tups after Kate had them. She loves children. Kate initially seemed like she loved being a mother. But over time Beth started seeing the real Kate and being used by her. The Utah trip opened Beth's eyes.
By then Beth had already written the book with Kate and now she's in a bad spot. She can't speak out, like she'd like to.

I have asked this question also and never get a comment or any thing that says someone read the post. My curiosity has not been answered. I have hear she was writing a book with Kate, but no more news about that either.

These kids no longer have anywhere to go that doesn't have a camera in it.
No Beth, No Jodi. Jodi wouldn't let the cameras film the kids the majority of the time they were in her home to give them a safe haven.
Now they have no one and no where it go without cameras.
All because Kate was jealous of Jodi getting more favorable reviews then her.
"Jodi's gentle, loving style was making Kate (the screaming shrew) look bad, and Kate wasn't having that...

I've read Julie's blog. Do you think she would get her point across the same way if she threw in some good things about the Gosselins? Of course she's going to say negative things because isn't her goal to make Kate look bad? It's the same reason you can't post positive things on the GWoP site. When the goal is to create a negative picture, you don't want any positives slipping through.

There was an article about the show that stated taping is done over a three day period. Two days are used for taping and the third is used for the couch interviews. The swim instructors article stated that during the Gosselin's two week vacation, the cameras were there for only one week. I don't agree with the bedroom night vision type cameras, but they haven't shown much from those anyway.

Because a lot of people have made multiple accounts just to post on this thread, and they were usually posting ridiculous things. Lots of specifics have been posted on here by random people who just happened to pop up within the past few weeks (not just in this thread but on the boards) and most of it wasn't true. That being said, I've said it before and I'll say it again... Kate's no angel but either is Jodi. They've let this "feud" get out of hand and adding fuel to the fire isn't going to help. It's just funny that Jodi and her sister originally claimed to be "outting" Jon and Kate for the kid's sake, but slamming them in a public forum and posting private information is obviously only going to hurt. I think the whole family needs to grow up and learn a thing or two about tact and class. They've all let the sudden fame go to their heads and let a simple reality show rip their family apart. It's sad all around.

This thread was bumped back up on 5/27 because the other thread was taken over by a troll that would not stop. A troll I would bet was banned on the 27 or 28. Looks like it just took them that long to find our other thread.
Of course it might just all be coincidence, but I have a feeling that CottonCandyLvr is the same person as the blogger that was linked to that then followed the link over here and started posting. The posts are too similar IMHO.

I think you are not getting what I am saying.

Jon and Kate aren't home 5-7 days a month due to their speaking engagement tour. When they are on tour the kids are at home with Nannies * There is no filming done when it is just the kids and their nannies of course. If they are on one of the many trips they go on, they film for most of the trip.

They were at home on the Korean episode and a few others.

*wait! they are at home with nannies all.the.time anyway, cause Kate is busy on the phone wheelin and dealin the next contract with sponsors.
