As long as the family gets to love them, I too don't care who gets paid to do the grudge work. Picking up dog poo can be done by anyone. Just because Kate might not do it, doesn't mean the dogs are neglected. A lot of people pay others to walk and groom their dogs, it's not like it's a new idea. I also hope someone paid the bill for them to be properly trained since neither Kate nor Jon seem to have time for that. But that's assuming they even get the dogs back.

Wow you really hope that TLC is paying someone to take care of the dogs? To me that would be pretty sad that the only way they could have the dogs back is if someone else takes care of them. It's enabling the entire family to not take responsibilty for any of their choices.

I agree....I wonder how John will react to Kate having another man?

It does not seem odd to me. You can hire dog walkers & people that will come & clean up dog poop in your yard for you. We also have people that you can hire to clean your house, do your laundry, mow your lawn, landscape your property, take care of your children, do your hair, shop for you etc.

It is not a bad thing hiring people to work for you,it gives people a job. It stimulates the economy.

Gee, you had me worried. I thought you were actually starting to like me!:rotfl2:

I think you & C Ann are so cute...like 2 peas in a pod.;) You both have so much in common what is not to like:thumbsup2

I can see what you're saying ... but at the same time, maybe that's a compromise Kate worked out. The kids keep the dogs as long as someone else is responsible for the care and upkeep.

That's assuming the dogs are back, which I don't think they are. :upsidedow

A reporter from NBC wrote this on MSN this morning.

Jimmy Kimmel and Kelly Ripa both joked that Kate Gosselin ought to take a turn on “The Bachelorette,” and now there are fierce rumors circulating that Gosselin is working on a deal with ABC to star on a similarly styled show.

“Kate’s working on a deal to do a new reality dating series on ABC,” according to an insider who spoke to Life & Style. The magazine reports that Gosselin would “likely be starring in her own series, possibly matching her with single dads.”

A source close to the reality TV mom counters that those rumors simply are not true. “Kate has no desire to start dating right now and has no interest in a dating show,” said the source.

There’s another practical matter: Gosselin remains under contract with TLC

It is probably true. When kate wanted to be on Dancing with the Stars, she made an off hand comment, now little things are starting to creep out to the news media again. Plus, TLC had no problem, letting Kate go to DWTS, and I'm sure they got some kind of cut, and it is probably the same arrangements with TLC and ABC. I just can't see Kate kissing and making out with anyone.

Gee thanks! I don't mind being in the same category with C.Ann. I know she is a kind, compassionate, friendly, honest, smart, caring person that I wouldn't mind being friends with!:goodvibes

Reading past posts I can't believe that 2 dogs could cause so much havoc for a family of 9. How in the world are they going to deal with dirty chickens?? They have upteen acres of land, fenced land, a nice barn/garage, plenty of room and they need help to take care of 2 dogs?? If every large family had this same mindset, nobody would have pets. :confused3

I think the show for Kate would be the "Cougar". Jon was similar in age to her and she beat him up with her mouth constantly, so I think a much younger man (who didn't know any better) would be right for her. That's if she doesn't announce her and Steve are a couple first!:lmao:

Jon was the one who did the grudge work, as you call it, when the dogs were brought home. As I said in my last post, it is perpetuating the problem that the family does not have to follow through with any of their choices, if someone else is the one doing the work. Plus there's a big difference between TLC being the ones to pay for the care of the dogs and the actual owners of the dogs, which is what another poster suggested.

As most of us already know, everything we suppose about Kate is just that, supposing. We all think we know her, but none of us (including me) does. It's like the interenet..we think we know people we 'met' on the internet, and really, anyone can be anyone they wish. We'd have to meet Kate and talk to her, to really know her. All of our opinions could change, either way. Just like meeting someone from the internet, (which isn't so different from TV, after all, we only see what they think we should see) they could be completly different from what we thought they were. I can't have been the only one to have been surprised when meeting someone in person, or learning more about them.

TLC probably footed the bill for the dogs (remember part of the price was donated to some charity) and all J & K needed to do was provide the care. I wouldn't of doubted that TLC was even paying for the food.

From what I have been reading, the dogs were never trained and people were complaining that the kids were jumping on them and pulling their tails which made people worry about the safety of the kids and the dogs.

Real nice Christmas present for the kids!

As I just said, there's a difference between Kate hiring someone to care for the dogs (if she really wants the dogs) and the network (TLC) paying for it, which is what you originally posted.

As for stimulating the economy, Kate is all about freebies. I can't see any evidence that she cares about anyone else except herself and her mighty wallet.

Kate was also shown cleaning up dog poo.

I don't care who pays for the care of the dogs, TLC or Kate. I don't understand why there is a big difference. If she wants to work it out with TLC and they are willing, hey, it's another perk for doing the show. If the kids really want the dogs back, and this is how it will have to work out, I don't get why anyone would care.

I have the responsibility of a house. If I decide to pay someone (or if TLC wants to, that would be fine too lol) to take care of it or my lawn, or weed all the flowers I put in, so what. It's my/their business. I'd bet that a lot of celebrities or people who can afford to hire someone aren't the ones to go out and clean up dog poo, or give baths, or cut nails, etc. Heck, a lot of celebrities have nanny's, why not have a dog nanny :rotfl:

I believe the kids were the ones cleaning up the mess from the dogs. Kate would screem and the kids would come running with a squirt bottle and rag to clean it up. Those dog duties are out of Kate's league. Diva's don't pick up dog poop!:rolleyes1

When it comes to the care and well being of the dogs, I do care. They are not accessories that can be tried on and discarded as Kate pleases. My issue was with the remark that was made that TLC should pay for the care of the family pets.

Although I hate (not LOL) to keep repeating something we all talked about so much before, I did see in the one show the time they showed them peeing on the rug (and since the kids did a usual kids job, don't you think an adult redid it? I can't imagine leaving it like the kids did..yuck) and the kids spraying and wiping. I have no idea if the kids always did the clean up, since I'm pretty sure dogs pee'd at night too or when the kids weren't right there during taping. I think you will find if you watch some of the shows with the dogs, that Kate is picking up poo in at least one of them, (and cleaning the rug), so the kids won't step in it in the yard. So yes, she has done clean up duty, diva or not.

Huh? It's not like she tossed the dogs in the drink. She didn't even give them away. They went back to a caring breeder. I understand having sympathy for animals..I haven't worked for a vet most of my adult life and not cared about them. However, sometimes people have times in their lives that taking care of 2 puppies isn't top priority (and our rescue group has the utmost respect for people who turn their cats back to us..it would have been just as easy for them to open their back door). She did what she felt was right at the time for the best of the dogs. I happen to give her credit for realizing she couldn't take care of them and her life at the same time.

I said nothing about why you would care if they weren't taken care of properly, so please don't make it sound like I didn't care about the care of the dogs.

If the dogs need care, and she or TLC wants to pay someone to take care of them, and the kids just get to love them without the work, I stand by what I said, why would anyone care. It's their business.

When the gravy train known as TLC goes buh bye, I guess the dogs can go back to the caring breeder for a second time. :sad2:

As for the kids having dogs without having to do the work, that's along the same line of thinking as it being fine for them to expect everything on a silver platter. How can this be good for their overall well-being?

The people I know that have pets, have them for the long haul and are fully prepared to care for them, including their children.

First of all, we don't know if TLC would be paying or Kate. Or perhaps TLC will pay now and Kate later. Once they are trained and not puppies the caring may be much easier.

So are the kids stuck caring for the dogs or not? I thought that was a concern. And even if someone is hired for their care, it doesn't mean the G's would do no care.Back to having someone else clean my house..I would still have to do some of it myself, unless they lived in and worked 24/7.
I thought she said her kids deserved everything on a silver platter, not that they expect it. Mine deserved everything on a silver platter too (they were great kids)..they just didn't get it LOL. I don't think her's did either. I just took that as I would if anyone said it, to mean she really loved them and wanted the best for them. But I guess it couldn't mean that if Kate said it:rotfl:

The people I know that have pets, have them for the long haul and are fully prepared to care for them, including their children.
Well, that's in your perfect world. Other people have divorces, deaths, allergies, lack of funds, a move to a nursing home...lots of reasons a pet may have to be rehomed. LIke I said, it's not like she tossed the dogs out.

And so far I haven't heard they are back.

What is the difference who pays for what? It is all the same in the end.
