I will agree that there is nothing wrong with not wanting dogs, it's not wrong if she didn't love them, and the best thing for those dogs (beyond not being used as props for a tv show...that was the crime) was to be given to a family that did love them and would properly care for them.


I hope they do not return.

I still think she did get the dogs in an attempt to make John happy. I think she tired to be a good sport at first & could not pull it off especially when everything fell apart.

My 2 teenage daughers begged for our Dog Walt & promised to take care of him. 24 hours after we got him my 15 year old came to us & said " I think I made a terrible mistake...I'm a cat person" The 13 year old is now responsible for walking the dog & the 15 year old has litter box duty.

Do you just have one cat? You know, they do better in pairs (LOL). My fosters were fit in earlier for the fixing, (have to go pick them up shortly..I'll have some wobbly kittens for a few hours) since someone with 4 didn't show up. The black and white one is a treasure, if you'd like to add to the animals LOL.

I think there's some truth to that, as well. I always have.

I also agree with those who say that it's ok (not that she needs permission from us, LOL) that Kate may not like the dogs. I don't think she'd ever say the words, because of the reaction that would follow ... but sometimes action speak louder than words, and this is one of those situations where that may be true.

The possibility also exists that the children (some or all of them) didn't like the dogs, ended up being allergic to them, or some other reason we'll never know.

Why is it so important to you that she admits she does not like the dogs?
We know she has a hard time with dogs so do I.

For all you know she has admited it many times you just did not see it on tape. Should she hold a press conference? Has it been asked in interviews?

I'm not crazy about dogs but I have one. My kids wanted one. I get PO when they do not walk & feed him. I do it for him but I'm not happy about doing it.

I hope TLC is paying for someone to take care of them for her, that would be a win-win for everyone. The kids have the dogs & Kate is a not annoyed with them

I'm sorry, I didn't know I had to report any questions, thoughts, ponderings, etc......to you! Like I said, I thought a discussion board was so you could give your opinion. I didn't know you had to explain every answer or thought! If it makes you feel any better, the dogs have been a big topic especially since they were whisked off back to the breeder because Kate told Jon she wasn't dealing with them and before you start your backlash at me, they are not the only family in America that had 2 dogs.

I love dogs. I love dogs more than kids, lol. Well, maybe not...but it is probably close.

Maybe the dogs are living with Jon. He loved them the most. Seems to me that he should have the dogs and the kids could visit them when they see Jon and his "flavor of the month."

Yes I agree you can give your opinions on a discussion board. It is also normal to ask someone why they made a statement ...like you did about Kate needing to admit she does not like the dogs.

I thought the same, that it was a bad idea to get dogs when their lives were literally crumbling. It's like the pet equivalent to renewing your vows or having a baby to save the relationship.

I thought that Jon was taking the dogs at some point but I guess that's to hard to do when you're hopping from residence to residence and girlfriend to girlfriend, right? Hey, if he had the dogs at his and Hailey's apartment, maybe that would've explained how it was trashed. Just blame it on the dogs and not Hailey.

I used to cringe whenever they showed the little 6 around those poor dogs. Grabbing their tales, their backs and just being so rough. Hello, where is Victoria Stilwell when you need her!

After our lab bit my nephew's hand a few months ago, I'm really one who fears kids climbing all over dogs and stuff. There is no way that you could keep an eye on that many kids and 2 dogs.

You don't - LOL.. It's just an unwritten "rule" that some posters have a tendency to try to enforce on the DIS - regardless of what the topic is..

Did anyone watch the quintuplets tonight on TV? What's up with all these men? This one doesn't seem to have wanted more kids, and he has said a couple times they are detrimental to their marriage.These were IVF..so why the heck do they use so many eggs, if they don't want or expect that many kids? He doesn't believe they can afford them. Sounds so familiar, once again. I'm glad they didn't reduce, but in this case, it was IVF..they could have implanted a couple eggs, instead of enough to end up with 5 kids.

So keep putting these people on TV, so other's will think that is the way to support their kids, if they decide to have a bunch of them.

Wow you really hope that TLC is paying someone to take care of the dogs? To me that would be pretty sad that the only way they could have the dogs back is if someone else takes care of them. It's enabling the entire family to not take responsibilty for any of their choices.
