That picture of Kate in this link is MOSRT DEFINATELY a wig and not extentions. You can tell by the thick part and how there is no area brushed away from her face.It look ridiculous. What mother of eight kids wears wigs? Weird. Phony as Kate is.

Are you kidding me....almost every black women on TV wears a weave. Nicey Nash does. I bet Pam has a partial weave going on too.

This is going to be said for the humorous effect for those who watch DWTS as a full show. During Chad and Cheryl's taped piece, with her being seen standing by the wall for most of the time that she was instructing him, tell me that at least one of you thought to yourself that Cheryl needed a plastic lawn chair... anyone... anyone :happytv:

In the article posted earlier, Kate said she wanted her kids at DWTS but there were "issues" that they couldn't be there. Could it be because they are under exclusive contract for TLC? or is it because she would have to show the nanny to sit with them? I assumed that the 2 little girls shown last night when Pam was dancing were her kids. I feel sorry for Mady and Cara, I think at that age, they would love being able to go and meet the other stars. I certainly don't like Kate but I hope she takes at least the twins.

I think she wants to stay but does not want to have to put in any time or effort in order to achieve that. She'd still be terrible with more practice, but it would make her a better person. The other dancers put in the work. They're real, she's fake.

I think Tony's dancing is getting pretty bad too! he doesn't even look good out there.

I wonder if Tony is danceing bad so Kate doesn't look even worse :happytv:.

I also think that the kids went to Disneyland for a Kate + 8 show- :lmao: to correct her ice cream fiasco.

I was too busy being annoyed at Chad to notice....I thought she wanted to work, and he wanted to flirt. I think Cheryl is another one earning her pay.

all she'll say is they were here this week:

I stick by my comments that it was an odd week to have them visit, given how busy Kate was. Maybe it was spring break. (ETA: Spring Break was in March, per the school calendar)

with all the media surrounding Kate last week, I'm surprised there weren't more pictures, either.

It's an odd week, but I'm not going to judge it. Several disers here do the same thing and many people do it world wide--they skip school on occasion depending on their school policies.

My mom did it with me as a kid and I turned out fine.

In any case-it's the first time (that we are aware of) where they may have missed school for a trip since the beginning of the year. Huge improvement over prior school years.

I assume because they can't be on TV at this time. She prob has to have Jon's permission.
No one has guesses about who the lady's were sitting in the audience that they showed when Kate was up, eh? Another post elsewhere guessed one was one of Kate's sister, but I don't know what she looks like.

I agree--it's all about work ethic. If you stink..you should be working more, not less to try and mitigate your shortcomings.

Haven't watched the show, yet as I slept in until 8:15 and was awakened to move my van for the contractors :lmao:....

In any case, if Tony's dancing is getting worse, that's b/c he can't shine as much as he'd be able to with someone that actually tries. He's probably too focused to get her to do what they do correctly to put any pizzaz into his own footwork.

Okay, I'm really embarassed to know this fact but Pam Anderson has 2 sons and not daughters. I have no idea why I know this but for some strange reason I do. :lmao: My mind is filled with useless knowledge. :rotfl::sad2: :upsidedow

I agree, Tony can only do so much! He seemed frustrated with Kate again during the rehearsal footage and kept asking her to put some energy and effort into their dance. It's like she only has 2 speeds, slow and slower. Tony is a really good dancer, I've enjoyed him in seasons past. But with Kate as his partner, he seems to be overcompensating for her lackluster performance which makes him look like he's trying to hard. I wonder if he's hoping he and Kate get the axe tonight...:rolleyes1

no commentary from me about taking the children out of school .. I was just answering someone else's question from earlier, whether or not it's Spring Break. It isn't.

On the ET interview, Kate says the children have been there 6 days, she's feeding them breakfast and tucking them in at night.

I didn't pay attention, but one may be speculated to be her mother. It's not very firm though.

I'm glad the kids haven't been shown yet. Maybe, tonight? Or maybe Jon won't let them.

I'm glad to hear that and I'm glad it's been kept quiet. I assume she was happy to be able to have breakfast with them and tuck them in, and everything that goes in between. Practicing time must have taken a hit. Not much she can do about the book pushing, since she's under contract, and I don't think she'll improve much with practice, so if practice took a hit so she could spend time with her kids, I'm all for that.

Again, I'm sure it's if you are for or against, in how you see it, but I really didn't see much different in how K & Tony's practice was going than some of the other's. I didn't think he was any more frustrated with her than some of the other's were with their partners. As it gets harder, I'm seeing a lot of frustration with all of them. Too bad we couldn't see the whole practice on the net, so we would know if parts of all of them was being picked out for the ratings.

I've heard that too, (about the mom) I just didn't think any of them looked old enough.

I am thinking it was the President of TLC, the VP of TLC, the exec producer of Kate + 8, get my drift?? And maybe Steve's wife??

I finally watched Kate's *fox trot.* I'm changing my mind about wanting her to leave this week because watching her do a slow motion quick step at some point will be comedy gold.:lmao:

I've always watched DWTS until the last 2 seasons, but has there ever been a star who didn't put in the time to learn? I can't think of anyone who didn't try, even if they were horrible at dancing. Or complain about how busy/tired they were.

Master P. I don't think he complained quite as much, but his dancing was as bad as Kate's. He kept being voted back --even when the judges gave him 2s. He was practically pleading with the viewers to let him go home. I didn't watch the first few rounds of DWTS for several seasons because he annoyed me so much. I like to watch people enjoying themselves and actually dancing in the later episodes.
Her dance was pretty bad. I felt bad for her partner Tony, he was trying to overcompensate for her. You know what I noticed? She dances better with a partner than alone. What I mean is that when she is locked into a hold with Tony she looks better than when she tries to do the moves out on the floor alone. The moves she did tonight were sooo very awkward but she looked better and more relaxed when in hold with Tony.

Yes. It is easier with a partner. He is holding her in a very firm grip and guiding her. I'm trying to see whether his lips move because I'm pretty sure he is muttering "ONE, two, three, ONE, two three" in her ear. It was particularly noticable in the Paso Doble, but I swear I could practically hear him in the "fox stroll."

ITA. :thumbsup2
Tony is usually a joy to watch and really good at presenting his partners strengths beautifully. I guess some of the videos of him with other partners are still on line. When Bruno said Tony could get more life out of a frock on a coathanger.:rotfl2: Bruno usually irritates me, but that was spot on! Kate looks bored, unmotivated and resistant.

Yes, I am a long time Tony fan, for his dancing not just his big beaming smile.

They've been there for 6 days and all they got was a few lousy hours at Disneyland, that is criminal.. :rotfl:

Or an agent or whomever.

I know that sometimes on results night, it will get revealed whom was their to support a celeb. But if it happens to be any of the above...we may never know.

DWTS is adding new features and themes (movie night etc) I think what they should do is a week of switching pros, Maks with Kate would be interesting or even Derek might need a week of sweating his choreography. Pamela with Louis. Chad with Anna, Jake with Cheryl, Niecy with Tony etc.

Could she perhaps be meaning 6 days in total in CA -- as in they flew out Friday and will fly back tomorrow or Thursday? FWIW, kids here (MA) are on school break this week. Not so in NH.
