I see what you are saying but at the same time they do buy other things that are for just each child. Remember when they bought a new bike for one the kids for his b-day?

I didn't know that, but I'm glad to hear it, that they do buy brand new sometimes. Do they wear helmets?

Yes they do b/c they bought him everything to go with it when they bought the bike. Plus it was NOT a cheap one from wal mart either. They do that with each of the kids on their b-days. They take just that child out ad get them what they want with in reason and to dinner.

Aren't the littlest kids wearing this season's Gymboree line? And Josh is always wearing name shirts I've heard (aeropostale). I think these are product placement clothes so, no technically they aren't buying them...except with their privacy.

Now, I've not watched the Duggars show this season, but I've never seen them in new Gymboree... Gosselins, yes. Duggars, no. That doesn't mean they're not, it just means I haven't seen it.

I think we should all write Kate's new show and see if anyone of us get picked for Kate to come give us advice, then we would really get to see her and be able to report about her.

I think "A Twist of Kate" is a brilliant idea. A perfect job for Kate, because she is qualified for so little else. Someone back in the thread asked for alternate job opportunities for Kate. After wracking my brains, this was the best.

Kate's fans (there are a lot out there) can invite her to their homes and report on the experience. She can work her magic, other fans can watch and praise Kate. If she delivers quality advice.

Anyone who doesn't like her does not need to watch and probably should not watch. I will not. It will probably be a trainwreck. But that is just my opinion.

I'm sorry but I'm afraid that this new show of Kate's might turn out to be a show about Kate-worship. She has danced twice on dwts and both were about her. I remember when Paris Hilton had her show, that's what I'm envisioning. Let me get my barf bag ready.

Here's some excerpts from Kate's new book. I'm not at all impressed by the fact that she's talking about her kid's pain/grief over the divorce. Even worse is how she reassures one of the boys because she says Jon is not a permanent part of their life anymore. Someone please get her into counseling so she can learn what not to say to her kids regarding divorce. Her kids pain and grief is not something to share with the world. I would've been devastated if my mom had done that to my sister and I when my parents divorced. I cannot imagine the extra pain she's going to bring those sweet kids when they grow up and know that she shared all of this.

Okay, I can see kate going on the View, DWTS to make money but selling a book which is nothing but letters to your children. Does she not understand the concept that some things should be kept between her and her children???? If she wants to be sincere to her kids, then why publish it for the whole world to read? Did she EVER thing about how the kids would feel having this personal info for everyone to see??

1. she's a saint for having put up with Jon, raising the children, and writing (did she really write those?) such beautiful letters for them to have when they're older.

2. she's continues to sell out the children for her own personal gain.

.. it's clear (to me, anyway) that Kate's opportunities in the entertainment industry are dwindling without the children. Nearly everything she's tried hasn't been a good fit for her. I don't think the concept TLC has come up with will be any better.

I couldn't imagine a scenario where I'd writing private letters to my children and selling them for profit. In fact, I'll say it. I'd never write letters to my children, publish a book, and sell it for profit. I seldom use the phrase "I never ... " because I've been parenting for 20 years, I know better. LOL. But I'm quite certain I'd never do that. ever.

There is absolutely NO reason for that to be made public. If Kate's motives were simply to let her children know her feelings about what has happened, she could pick up a pen and paper. Then she could put those letters aside for when the kids are older. They don't need a tell all book in order to be reassured by their mother. Disgusting.

I agree. I can't imagine either. I truly cannot. I'm not trying to sound holier than thou but this seems to be a clear case of Kate profiting directly off her children and their pain. It makes me sick. If my mom had done that, I'd imagine I would stop talking to her and have trouble forgiving her for that. There's no justification for it, there just isn't. Those poor kids, they shouldn't have to worry about their mom blabbing their grief and publishing it. I really, really think this is going to come back and bite Kate in the butt when those kids get older. Divorce is hard enough without all this extra crap.

Now, I've not watched the Duggars show this season, but I've never seen them in new Gymboree... Gosselins, yes. Duggars, no. That doesn't mean they're not, it just means I haven't seen it.

I could be wrong...I don't watch either. I know it has been discussed that they all recently began wearing name brand clothes and and not the prairie dresses. A comment was made that the little girls weren't even in 'dresses', they were in longer tops from gymboree with leggings. (I wouldn't recognize the current line of gymbo) I guess the point is they now wear nicer clothes which is not a bad thing.


About Kate's 'book'. No she would never consider how publishing private things about her children may hurt them. It doesn't hurt her, and she gets paid for it. Hey, the struggling single mom has to put food on the table. <dabbing dry eyes>

Who is advising this woman? Is there anyone in her life who loves her enough to stop the nonsense? Is there anyone around her not making money off of her? She is so, so odd. The new shows, now this. Twist of Kate and Kate plus 8 (as Tom introduced her as the star of) will be starting soon. The second one sounds sporatic at least. Where is their family?

Thank you for posting that info. I always say that kate is a witch. Everyone seems to forget these clips. I actually saw her state that the infamous Christmas shopping trip where she yelled at him, was that yes she was wrong to yell and talk to him like that, but she had just gotten off work and it was a spur of the moment decision to pick up some Christmas things and she was just trying to get it done quickly. I guess she doesn't realize that I watch these shows in great detail. She is a bold face liar. That trip was planed according to the original show. She needs to get her crap straight so she can keep a grasp on what really happened.

I'm not going to look at the worse 12 things, because I remember them. I remember seeing them in context. I also remember TLC deciding to air these moments..and still wonder, why? Each one of the moments were discused and discused here. They happened..and that was then. I haven't seen anything from Kate like that in a long time.

I'm glad my 12 less than 'shining' moments aren't on tape.

And here comes all the bashing again.

I assume once I read the book, I won't be happy with the private letters, if that's what they are, but I do wonder just who advises her. This publisher is known for publishing tasteful items..if these are so private, what were they thinking? What is their responsibility in this? Do they have any? I'm reading a wonderful book right now they published. They aren't known for publishing dirt.
