Tony is a sweetie, always very gracious and works hard to showcase his partner and not himself. I think he's the perfect person to handle Kate. If they had paired her up with someone like Maks, well, I'm pretty sure he would've have slapped her! Tony is more understanding and easy going so I think they'll have good chemistry on the floor.

That interview was funny to me because while Tony was answering a question about his own family, Kate took over! She's still a piece of work if you ask me. Her personality is still quite large so I'm guessing DWTS is going to have their hands full with Kate! Can't wait to see how it all comes together.

ITA on the Kate take-over! Too funny.

I think poor Tony may have his feet trodden on and I honestly don't think they will last long in DWTS. In another (one trusts very early clip of a practice) Kate looks to have 2 left feet and is quite argumentative to boot. Tony just laughs at her. Go Tony!

I didn't get where she took over? He brought up moms and doing this and how it makes a statement to the kids and she commented on that. Not sure where she took over? I thought the conversation went in that direction. Oh well.

She is practicing at home on her newly installed basement dance floor. She also has to rehearse in LA for part of every week. She is flying out for 3 or 4 days each week for rehearsal and eventually the show. She initially spent about two weeks straight there. Surely, the DWTS choreogrpahers, tech people, camera crew and her partner aren't traveling to PA for her to rehearse.

Actually, Kate's partner does go to her house in PA for rehearsals sometimes. Radaronline posted pics of his arrivals a few times.

Kate has a huge habit while giving an interview that is one of my BIGGEST pet-peeves. When answering a question, she will stall a bit by starting every answer with "Honestly?, I..." or "Well, to be honest..." That makes me nuts. No, Kate, we were looking for dishonest. Lie to us.

I had an English professor in college that would go nuts when someone would start a sentence with that. He said it was a stupid, and unneseccary way to start a sentence and was just "filler words" with no substance or need to be in the response. It was a sign that someone was stalling. It made him think "you mean you were thinking of being dishonest?, but your asking me if I want the honest answer?" It is just unnessesary. It is immature and unpolished. Obviously, his distain for the phrase rubbed off on me.

speaking of interviews, Kate is on The View today. I'm pretty sure it's not live, although it must have been filmed very recently, because Sherri addressed the "diva" issue.

They've done this for other celebs as well....

I think the one that occurred most often was Donny Osmond b/c his Vegas show was still active.

DWTS is willing to accomodate any talent who cannot reside 24/7 in LA if having them on the show brings interest and ratings.

On a side note--I thought the dancer was the choreographer--so why last season when one of them got the flu and another one came in, they adjusted the routine b/c the whole routine had not been learned, yet.

I really want to see Evan Lysacek and Niecy Nash. I love Niecy. The one I really don't want to see is Shannon Dougherty. I can't stand her. She always looks like she just woke up and has smeared eyeliner on. It drives me nuts, plus I think she is a way bigger witch than Kate.

I usually don't like Shannon either, but I did see her on a talk show last week. She said she wasn't going to do the show but then her father, who is in the hospital and refusing to go to his physical therapy told her he wanted her to do the show. So she made a deal with him, if he goes to his therapy she'll do the show.

I wonder if it's because she has kids and responsibilities. The pics of her are usually with them, where the others are shown partying. I think we know so much about Kate and she has so many kids, our minds tell us she's older. Plus, they prob don't have to airbrush Kate like they seem to do Pam. I look at Pam and think she's a lot older. I was surprised when I googled it and it said 42. I thought she was a lot older. I always think of Shannen as 90210, high school, so my mind tells me she's young. YMMV

Erin Andrews is 32, and so is Nicole Scherzinger ... so it looks like half of the ladies are young and half are older, like me

and when I say 32, I'm not sure if they're 32 yet .. they're born in 1978.

I caught a glimpse of a photo of Kate in chin length bob, and she looked great. But then she went back to those fake extensions . . . the extensions really don't look good. Kate looks much better with short hair. IMO

Anyone catch Kate on the View? I didn't. Did she cover herself with glory? I'm a little surprised not to see a blow-by-blow account here.

I seriously don't think that Kate will last long on DWTS. She has rotten posture (scoliosis?) and is just ungraceful. Speaking as one who also suffers from both of those problems -- so please try not to slam me for seeing them in Kate. Some can dance, some can't.

I also have two left feet, but I'm not on DWTS

I never noticed the posture, but then I guess I wasn't looking. My husband, my daughter and my grandson all have scoliosis and I never picked up on that on Kate.

I'm anxious to see how she does. Maybe she can dance, and maybe she can't, won't know until Monday. I sure didn't think the mailman from Cheers would be there past the first day (or wasn't he? LOL).

Kate does seem older than Shannen to me, but not Pam. In fact I thought Pam was older than 43! It must be the kid thing with Kate because it boggles my mind that she is only 34. She is 10 years younger than me and still seems older than me.

I saw that chin length bob also. It WAS great!

As for the posture...I've waited 8 threads to see this brought up. With all the kate trashing that went on I never read anything about her posture until now and wondered why it wasn't mentioned.

I have it also and noticed it right away in Kate. I still think she's pretty.

I think we sometimes freeze people at the ages we meet them. I have tons of clients who can't believe I'm as old as I am. They have me frozen at the age I met them--somewhere from 18 ( ) to 30. I'm way older than that.
I think kate seems mid 30's looking. I think Pam looks older than me and more plasticy and I try not to look at Shannon because I'm not a fan but maybe I'll see a new side of her on DWTS.

I think Kate looks her age. IMO she looks fabulous (minus the hideous extensions though) especially for having 8 small children. I've always thought she was attractive but I have noticed her posture. I had no idea though that she has scoliosis? I'm sure Tony is working on it though, the judges are really strict about posture when they critique the celebs.

Pam Anderson looks pretty haggard. I thought I read she had hepatitis or something? Anyhow, she looks much older than she is.

Shannon Doherty (sp) looks a little haggard too. Like she's had a difficult life. I'll be interested to see how she handles the judges too, she's kinda scary! Although to me, she'll always be Brenda from 90210!

Monday should be interesting. I'll be here posting!
