I guess that's my point. The J & K have been being paid in cash for years so why are some people (not you) jumping to the conclusion that Jon is somehow trying to pull one over on the IRS but Kate isn't?

In the past, some have questioned if Kate is reporting the income from her autograph (so Jon isn't alone in this allegation, if that's what it is). I'll assume they both have reported their incomes, cash and otherwise, unless I see something that proves otherwise. There are lots of people that get paid in cash that claim their income. Most of my orders are paid for in cash. Of course there are a lot of people who get paid 'under the table' (as the saying goes) as well, but I've never heard a hint of that with these two, other than here.
I never understood why income taxes weren't taken out of Richard Hatch's payment before he got it.

Not sure--but I was listening to a Dave Ramsey Episode where a caller had one some large prize--and they had to set aside the tax money on their own as it would be paid when they filed their taxes.

While it would have made things simpler--Richard Hatch knew what was going on and what he was up to.

So because Lohan said Some casinos would give him poker chips. you came to the conclusion that Jon asked to be paid in cash and by doing so, he would be in big trouble with the IRS?

If he did what Lohan is claiming & TLC is trying to prove Jon is going to have problems. Maybe he claimed it on his last quarterly return, I'm sure the IRS will be checking.

You do know that casinos comp players all of the time don't you? You don't need to be famous to get cash/chips from a casino.

Casinos only Comp Rooms, Food & Booze not cash/chip. If you take a bus trip you might get a coupon for $10.00 in chips...maybe that is what Jon did

When you find the link saying that he did in fact ask and that he was trying to hide from the IRS, please post it.

I can say Jon is on drugs without proof. I can say he is mentally ill without proof. I can also say I think he will be in trouble with the IRS without proof.





Based on that logic, I'm sure that the IRS is going to make sure that Kate has been claiming all of the cash that she gets from autographs, pictures... as well. Who know, maybe we'll be hearing about audits in the near future.

While I don't go to Casino's except for a show here and there, I certainly know those who do. They sure don't take the bus though
They do get comped chips. Heck, I even got a $50 gift card from Turning Stone to purchase chips or whatever I wanted, to try and get me back...and all I did was go to see the Beach Boys. My sis's get gift certificates, chips, rooms and fee shows. They know they are going to get them back, so why not LOL!

I wish people wouldn't make this personal. Everyone has a right to their opinions, so far none of us are lawyers, none of us know all the IRS rules. This stuff is mostly opinions. Please, lets not start going back and forth. Both of you have good points and the rest of us will take from it what we want. We are already on the edge, lets not push this thread over...please?

Casinos do comp with cash/chips. As a matter of fact, we just went this weekend to a local one with some friends for dinner. The casino had mailed them each some coupons for two free meals as well as cash coupons. After dinner our friends went to the casino cage, handed them the coupon and the cashier gave them the cash. My friends put the cash in their wallets and we left the casino.

I think, at some point, I've agreed with almost everyone that's posted on this thread.

and I refuse to credit the tabloids today ... but I had a tweet that Jon and Levi whatshisname were together in Times Square this morning. No good can come from that.

Levi's probably just giving him pointers on how to take advantage of notoriety when you tick off the seemingly popular peoplew who have discareded you.

Though without that Nutrisystem deal, I don't think Jon is going to land Playgirl anytime soon. And certainly not until he is out of that contract completely. B/c that certainly is not the enterprise to show you are a family man.

I sort of feel like I'm getting paid to Dis. I actually don't mind being up here babysitting the printers when filling orders LOL.

Those are foster kittens, long since adopted. My adult daughter took the photo. She has a way of making our fosters pose. My own photo's usually have the kitten looking down, or away, or yawning LOL. She's just started to do some photography on the side from her 'real' job.

I'm fosterting two black kittens right now. Both are positive for FIV so I need to find a home for them with no other cats. Anyone in the Albany, NY area that wants to adopt two very sweet kittens with special needs, just let me know!
