it's Vanity Fair. I would think that is as close to credible as it comes for an entertainment magazine. I just figured the reporter traveled with her those days and got the quotes that way. It seemed like a first hand account.

Come on Madge, the orange one was only 1 of many! So strange, that the paps would be following her, perhaps the biggest story of the year, isn't it? Wasn't there close-up some bikini shot of the 'girls' that had us all laughing one day this summer?

ETA: Before anyone thinks I'm being snarky, I will give Kate credit that she looked fabulous in her neon, traffic cone colored bikini. I still think her belly button looks to close to her neck though!

I'm wondering the same thing.. Unless the info comes directly from the lips of Jon and/or Kate - or is a legal document - I tend to take all of this stuff with a grain of salt..

It's real. The writer must have traveled with Kate that day she was in New York for Regis and again recently. We saw all the pictures of the events

How come nothing about Kate is ever considered true but the most bizzare thing about Jon is readily accepted?

Good question.. Seems to be a trend - LOL.. Believe me, I'm no "Jon" fan either, but people do tend to be biased in favor of Kate and make all kinds of excuses for her.. Everything from "unreliable sources and/or paid sources" to "everything is purposely edited to make her look bad".. Neither one of them need to be "edited" to look bad - they do a fine job on their own..

The only thing that I believe 100% is what I hear when their lips are moving..

there was a TLC person there much of the time, right?

this article, combined with the recent RadarOnline story ... even if it's only half right, is confirming what many have suggested about Jon and Kate for months.

Vanity Fair isn't Us Weekly or People. It's not a tabloid. I suspect the article is mostly true.

I thought we knew everything that was said already. The only thing I saw new was that Jon had been going out until the bar closes for months before he was caught by the Paps.

I think we knew most of it, in that we are smart enough to put all the pieces together. I don't think some of those things had been confirmed.

No kidding. Well we finally know that Jon was telling the truth about Kate ending their marriage last Oct. He wanted her to go to counseling and she refused. Then they only went to Dr. Phil sad2 who counseled them to save the brand of J&K+8. Crazy. Jon said he was trying to save his marriage and that was advice Dr. Phil gave. Nice.

We also know too that he'd been staying in the apartment above the garage since last fall.

It certainly doesn't paint a pretty picture of either of them. Kate especially if you ask me. She came across as cold, heartless and selfish. Sorry, that's the way I took it.

I think it depends on which side of the fence you tend to drift towards, it seems to me that many are very biased towards Jon. If Kate had pulled some of the stunts Jon has over the last 8 months...oh my.


Loved the episode tonight, the kids all seemed to enjoy being with each parent. I don't think I have ever seen Kate laugh so much, I will say it again..I think they J & K are much better apart.

Well if folks here are going to label this article as "factual and true", then you're right.. Jon hasn't been lying quite as much as some have claimed - and Kate has lied..

I don't watch the show anymore - haven't in a long, long time - but I assume tonights show was one of the ones that TLC was using pieces of - from previous tapings? I wonder how long ago that was filmed?

That was not confirmed. The writer was just saying this is what is being said by Jon.
