Jon and Kate Plus 8, Official Thread--Part 7

Who needs to write a book is the filming crew for TLC. The stories they could tell would probably make millions.

Anyone can write a book. Dr. Phil writes books all the time and I just saw one of his at the Dollar store. Kate isn't a gifted writer or actress. Her only claim to fame is having sextuplets along with a set of twins. If she chooses not to downsize, her bills are her problem. Nobody owes the Gosselin's anything. There are many large families out there struggling with no assistance from anyone. The Gosselin's happened to land a tv deal and now its over--deal with it. Those kids couldn't stay babies all their life and they knew one day the show would end.

Looks like it's Jon's turn again:

Great to see photos like this, especially with all that is going on.

BTW, RadarOnline didn't edit out the name of the school on the schoolbus. Figures.

ETA: ok, I just got into the school website -- not feeling good about posting the website, so you can look it up for yourselves. However, I did find out that tuition was due on July 1st, and you only save $50 per child versus paying in 12 pre-authorized payments.

Oh great - just what the kids need Jon and Kate doing tell all books about their divorce! Oh yeah, everything is for the kids.

BTW my kids have always gone to private school and there were discounts (regardless of income) when you had more than one enrolled. The most I ever had enrolled at one time was 4, but you would keep getting discounts (2nd one small, 3rd discount a little bigger etc). Of course she could always put them in public school if tuition was too much.

Kate could give up the nannies, landscapers, flying across country for spa treatments and live very comfortably.

I still think Kate feels "entitled" to getting stuff for free because she had sextuplets.

I hope for the kids sake they would both let go of the "celebrity" thing and try to get back to being a normal (albeit divorced) family.

ITA:thumbsup2

Surely you jest!!

:rolleyes1

Worded a bit harsher than I would have put it, but you pretty much hit the nail on the head.. Especially the section of your post that I bolded..

Eventually both Jon & Kate will come to realize that "champagne tastes on a beer pocket book" rarely works out too well.. :rolleyes1

Unless one or both lands a very lucrative paying job, they are just going to have to adapt to a different lifestyle - which based on their past earnings, would likely be much, much better than the lifestyles of many other large families who didn't sign on for a reality show..

OT, I was thinking about the tuition for the Gosselins school and decided to look at the Catholic schools my DS' went to....elementary was NO LIE $56.00 a month for my now 27yo (grad 1996) ...that same elementary Catholic school is now $4000.00 for the school year!!! :scared1: DS#1 chose the public high school in our town after he grad from this school.

Catholic high school for my now 23yo was $4000.00 a year (grad '04) for everything and it is now $6500.00 (tuition only) which does not include lunch, transportation, books, uniforms = (another $2000.00 yearly). :scared1: :scared1:

WOW just wow!!!

So you figure the Gosselin's tuition bill for all eight has to be pretty high!!! ::yes::

I know that the kids are in a private school but is it Catholic?

The church that I belong to (MO Synod Lutheran) has a school. For members, there is no tuition. The church and school operate on a "unified budget" and the congregation decided long ago that they are willing to fund the school. For members, there is no charge even if you have 8 kids that go there.

I find it interesting that there are always reports that the kids are running up to Jon and Kissing on him when it's his turn with them but you don't hear the same report about Kate. They are splitting the time with the kids equally or as equally as you can so it's not like he's away more than Kate.

Just a thought: I wonder if Kate is going to have much of a speaking carrier now because she has lost her "common" mom feel with her complaining that she
A) Is doing it all alone when there are nannies
B) Complaining about money when they had $230,000ish in the bank!
C) Decides to vent to the world instead of a friend. Even friends get tired of hearing how bad you've got it.

This mess with Stephanie the nanny and her claims of Jon hacking into Kate's accounts and emails. I find it unfortunate that Jon keeps his company with people that will sell him out, whether it is true or not remains to be seen.

I asked my husband (who has been an IT guy for 20 years) if it would be possible for Jon to figure out how to do this. He said it would be fairly easy to put a program on her computer that would register every key stroke and action she performed thus enabling him to hack into whatever he wanted. He went on to tell me that someone else that has experience could come in and be able to tell if this was done. Banks also keep records of the IP address of anyone logging into an account and how long the session lasted. It is also a felony.

Jon needs to hang out with the Sunday school crowd ONLY from now on. ;)

Jon would need to have access to her computer. I doubt that she leaves her laptop at home while she's away, either for his custody days or while she's off working.

I'm going to wait to criticize it until it's out. It may be very sensitive.

Of course she could always put them in public school if tuition was too much.
I hope it doesn'tcome to that. These kids, IMO don't need any more change in their lives. I don't know what your private scholl was like, but ours was very protective of all the kids. I think their kids need that right now.

flying across country for spa treatments and live very comfortably.
When did Kate fly across the county for a spa treatment that she paid for? I know it was in one of the shows..when she took one of the kids with her, but that spa treatment was part of the shows, so I would have expected TLC to pay the expense.

I still think Kate feels "entitled" to getting stuff for free because she had sextuplets.
I think Kate has often said how grateful she has been for all that has been given her. I'm not sure what she could say or do, to appease this crowd :rotfl: I guess she should have groveled LOL!

Good call on the Celebrity Fit Club - I can see that as well. :thumbsup2

I just can't imagine either of them getting "real" jobs at this point. First there is their noteriety, and second, who would hire those wackos?!

Has Kate renewed her RN license? I read somewhere that it expires at the end of this month. I don't see how she would have completed the continuing ed hours that would be needed.

I know my state has a website where you can check the status of pretty much any license from locksmith to doctor so I assume PA has that as well.

:lmao:
I would be very interesting but I don't think that we'll ever see that. I'm sure that they all had to sign a confidentiality agreement.

No, it is not catholic. In our area the church and the private schools are for pay. Churches in our area have enough problems supporting the church, and don't support the school. Our largest private (no church affiliation) is the most expensive. I could send kids to college on what they charge.

It looks like they also offer financial aid. ;)

Just last week on this thread there were some that commented on how the kids didn't even say hi to Jon or hug him when he picked them. They went on to comment that the girls don't seem to love him like they used to. So that goes both ways.

Jon would need to have access to her computer. I doubt that she leaves her laptop at home while she's away, either for his custody days or while she's off working.

Yes, I too think that Kate is smart enough to know better.

You are optimistic today Doris, groveling wouldn't be enough either. ;)

I was one of the posters who thought that about Mady -- I still do after looking at today's photos. Cara obviously feels differently.

I am with you; most states (if not all) require CE hours for nurses and I very much doubt she has kept up with those hours to retain her license. Maybe she thought she was going to be riding the gravy train for longer and didn't need to.

I would guess PA has a similar license check; or if nothing else, the Board of Nursing probably has an area on their site where licenses can be checked (although that probably can't be accessed by the public, just hospitals, etc).

Interesting what your DH said -- wonder if anybody is checking out whether this actually happened?

And ITA with you about Jon -- he should buy a nice little house where he can keep his dogs and only hang out at his new job or with his family.

Pardon the interruption. I know I'm not a regular poster, but I know a little about the school people are talking about. It's not a church school, and it has a tuition of around $18,000 a year for those who do not qualify for tuition assistance.

Wouldn't that be nice :thumbsup2 It sure would keep him out of a lot of trouble, I would love to see Jon do something like that.

Thank you for the input and please feel free to join us any time. :thumbsup2 So it is a private school but not a Christian school? I didn't know that.

Well, thank you. That was the number I was looking for just now. :goodvibes

And :welcome: to the thread. Now you're going to be sucked into it just like the rest of us. :lmao:
