Or assuming that he was nastier to Kate when the cameras were off than she was to him when the cameras were on. How could anybody know this?
I can respond to this, and you can go back to my original responses. I actually said, that we have no way of knowing what went on off camera, when so many were criticizing Kate for her behavior. I said for all we know Jon could have not been nice. The point I was making at that time, was that we only see what TLC wanted us to see. Obvious to most, what we saw didn't show what was going on with these two, or they wouldn't be getting divorced. He could have been nasty, she could have been nastier. I couldn't hate Kate (or Jon for that matter) for what I saw on a TV show, since I wasn't seeing what was happening when they weren't on the show, and I don't even know them.

As for the follow-up to their LKL..you could have had three other people doing the interview and having an entirely different view (for instance, if I had been there, it would have been different). However, I doubt a nice view would grab viewers. Dislkie sells, if for Jon or for Kate.
I personally feel that hating either Jon or Kate is just want is wanted. It gets people riled up and they will visit and post on blogs, and look at video's, etc, and those places can get more for their ads, and the cycle starts over again. I wonder if TLC knew just what they were doing by not letting Jon interview. And now it appears it will be his turn.

Just found this link to a video (hope it works out ok)
http://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/news/082709_jon_gosselin_vegas

Yes, we've seen the LKL interview -- what was interesting to me was the discussion after the LKL clip. Pretty much sums up how I feel.

Just puttting that out there FTR, so everybody will know where I'm coming from

Well, I think you've done a good job helping us see your point of view here because the link didn't give me any type of "aha" type moment. It seemed more of the same. I'm not saying that in any kind of bad way, I'm just saying the link's point of view and yours seemed very much one and the same. :) You've done a good job getting your POV across here. :)

Thanks -- I think. BTW, my favourite line "just sell the flippin house Jon" :lmao:

Why haven't they sold that other house :confused3

I just wonder if they'll actually let it air -- I'm doubting it, especially after the sneak peek we got yesterday. I've now seen him being interviewed by the paps at the fence on 3 separate occasions -- 2 within the past 2 weeks (it looks like more, but I'm pretty sure they just divided the interveiws into sections) I'm thinking this is his way of getting around TLC's gag order -- "no I wasn't doing an interview. I was just talking to my fans and some cameras happened to be there"

As I was watching Jon's vegas video, something popped in my head. I wonder what Jon and Kate will say, when the kids ask them "what do you do at work?" Especially the younger ones, now that they will be meeting other kids with normal parents and normal jobs.

I love the comments people leave after one of J & K's escapades are reported on that radar site. Everyone is in agreement that everything is so staged. I haven't seen pictures, but did Kate host her picnic in the front so that the paps had a better view for pictures??
Boy what a life these two have spending their kids money.

Well, I assume that we see the pictures out front (as has been said here before) because that is when they get the pictures. I also assume they don't spend all their time out front. I'm not in their minds, but perhaps they feel if they give them a little, they won't tramp thrugh the woods on the right and start snapping them when they are around back in the pool area, or the crooked house area. Maybe it's even an agreement..take them when the kids are playing in the drive, but leave us alone out back. Since TLC doesn't have a camera on them for me to see 24/7, I have no way of knowing just how much time is spent outfront. Perhaps it's very little.

The money is not all the 'kids' money. J & K are also on TV, and do the work of getting the show promoted. Since we have no idea how much is in the kids accounts (prhaps the biggest bulk, I have no idea), or what portion of the show's money K & J spend for just their own pleasure and how much of what they have is placement, I don't know how we can assume they are spending their kids money. I assume both J & K get a healthy portion by wearing clothing and using items that the placement people pay for.

I'm also sure a healthy chunk of all the money brought in, goes to the mortgage, taxes, security and the actual cost of running a household that size. I'm sure it's not all being used for party party party, while the kids sit in rags and starve.

JMHO, but I think anything that happens at the front of the house is staged for the paparazzi. Of course, there would be a lot of other family moments that happen at the back of the house where we don't get to see them. So, when I do see pics come up about things at the front of the house, I always wonder what point they are trying to get across. In this case, it would be showing Kate have a lovely time with her kids -- as opposed to us thinking about her when she left the house after she called the police, or something else that would reflect her in a negative light.

From everything I have read it is because it is over priced (by nearly $100k). I have no clue if this is true or not...

If this is true, the extra money is being gobbled up monthly with taxes, heating, and interest payments, not to mention they could probably pay their current house down some if they sold the old one. It doesn't take long for these costs to really cut into any profits.

Sell the flippin house Jon. :lmao:

So what is it then:
1. The money is not all the "kids" money.
2. J&K deserve the money because they promote the show and do all the work?
3. The biggest bulk is the kids?
4. Its not all being used for party party party while the kids sit in rags and starve?

So you don't know or you assume all from a simple sentence stating "Boy these two have the life spending their kids money"??

The whole financial side of this is a mess. When Jon and Kate were together, the money came in, it was spent as a family unit, no problem. Hopefully they did the right thing and put some away for the kids, but that was their decision and there was no oversight (not saying it was needed). Now due to the divorce the court will be overseeing the division of assets and income. For example, say TLC pays them 75K an episode. Do they split it two ways? or three ways to include the kids? But then say Kate is promoting the show more or maybe she filmed more hours that month-should she get more?
Kate's bodyguard and wardrobe, hair, etc. are costs incurred due to the show. Does she have to pay those or do they come off the top as a business expense? Can Jon say he needs x amount per month to rent an apartment, when Kate is only paying y amount to rent a place?

This may be the only case where the kids are earning their own child support, instead of being supported by the parents' earnings. Yes, J & K are working on the show too, but there would be no show without the kids.

Having some familiarity with the matrimonial law field, I will say I think they are going to have big bills for attorneys and expert accountants. Of course, those bills will be paid with money earned from the show.

Huh? I have no idea what you are asking or saying, other than to pick apart what I said and that you are trying to make it into something it isn't. That said, please don't put words in my mouth. I happen to think (my opinion) the money belongs to them all, not just the kids, and they should have the right to spend some of it. I do hope (although I don't know either way) that the kids are getting whatever should be their share, and I have no idea what that share should be. Perhaps a percent after expenses are removed? Maybe they are, I have no idea. Anyone here know how much or little the kids might be getting? Anyone privy to the bank accounts?
When someone says these two are have the life spending the kids money, I wonder how anyone knows who's share of the money they are spending. Are they not entitiled to a share either? I happen to think they too are a part of this show and deserve compensation. Of that compensation that is theirs, I happen to think they can spend it like they wish, just like I do my own salary. You may not.

Can't fault anything you said. I agree..and yes, it prob is going to be a big mess, unless they had already set up expenses, kids, Kate's and Jon's. Again, we just have never been privy to any of the financial part.
However I still stand by what I said earlier, that just because K & J spend money, it doesn't mean they have no right to, or that they are spending the kids' money.

Good luck to that divorce judge in Pennsylvania who gets to sort out this mess! ;)

I have never understood why the Gosselins being in the front yard is such an issue to people. Especially in the new house, it has such a long drive and is far from the road. They have always hung out in the front even before the paps arrived. The paps didn't pay them much attention until this year. So whom were they supposedly getting attention from before? Neighbors? UPS guy?

I agree, the money belongs to all of the Gosselins, not just the children. Jon and Kate should be entitled to spend a portion of it as they see fit.

The camera lenses that the paparazzi use make the pictures look like the family is right out there, but if I recall, their house is pretty far from the street with a long driveway. Remember the sextuplets birthday party and Kate pointed out the paparazzi that were in the bushes/trees.

It's their house. If they want to spend every minute outside in the driveway or along the fence, who cares? I'm sure it's a pain to have these people outside your house 24/7, but I wouldn't let that stop me from living my life either.

I just watched Jon's video from Vegas. What was with that guy that was yelling for Jon to take his shirt off? :rotfl2: It looked like Jon said (he motioned with his hands) that his hair plugs were $20,000 when someone asked. Are we supposed to believe that he paid for them?
