ITA, and that is the real issue here. All week we've been blasted by PR people and tabloid press writers trying to discredit Jon, but does that make taking the kids off the show any less important or reasonable? IMO, whether people like Jon or not, he is their father and they love him. I'm sure he loves those kids too. So I'm tending not to judge his motives (since I don't know what they are) and trying to celebrate this small victory for the kids.
In the promo for the ET interview, Jon says the kids have talked to him about going to summer camp, having normal friends, having sleepovers, being able to walk to the school bus without reporters following them. This is probably true, since the twins are old enough to know that their lives are very different from other children, and who wouldn't want to do what their friends do? So, with the taping stopped, maybe they will get to do some of these things, and maybe even Kate will see that that is good for her kids. Like Jon said on LKL, he doesn't know what their lives would be like without the show.
