I totally agree with this. How are the kids supposed to ride their bikes (easily) in the backyard, on the grass?

On an unrelated sidenote, I don't get all the grief Kate's getting on what she wears to the grocery store, to the post office, etc. For a long time, she wasn't that "into" clothes and didn't know what to wear/what looked good on her (remember, there was an entire episode devoted to Jon helping her pick out some cute clothes). I think (a) she's just enjoying her newfound fashion-sense and (b) she wants to show Jon that she still looks good, even in the face of his teeny bopper girlfriends! That's totally something I would do; you have to look good so he knows what he's missing.

I was just watching The View and Joy Behar was talking about someone from a magazine wanting to take her picture when she was out this weekend. She said the guy asked and she said no because she didn't have her hair/makeup done and had just been in the car for a long time and I guess didn't look "pretty". She mentioned something about not wanting the pictures circulating looking like that.

I immediately thought of Kate. Perhaps the reason she dresses up to do her errands is because she knows she's going to end up on the cover or in these magazines and she might as well look good if that's the case. Face it, no matter what she wears people are going to criticize her. Before people made fun of those black lounge pants she always wore. Now she is overdressed.

I think Kate did the right thing filing. She's definitely right...about them quickly becoming different people.

Can't either of them do anything to make money that doesn't involve selling the kids!? I guess Jon won't have to share his Ed Hardy money he makes off the kids with Kate, since she's not involved. I would be fine with the whole clothing line thing if it didn't involve using the kids as models, which is just a ploy to sell more clothes. Hey, do models get paid? To me it just looks like their parents are selling them right and left to make as much money as possible. I just can't get past that. People should not live on income their children generate.

So, of the papparazzi can't photograph the kids in the backyard, how do we know they aren't back there as much as in the front? All we see is the pics in the front yard, but that doesn't mean they are out there more than in the back. We can't see pics of what can't be photographed, KWIM?

I think Jon is acting like a real jerk. His kids(especially his older girls) will find out about his very public appearances with these girls weeks after they filed for divorce. It would be different if the paps were stalking him and snapping shots of him in a semi-disguise coming out of Denny's with her at 2am, IMHO. He is talking about starting a clothing line with this girl, and it's not even the girl he was supposedly seeing when they split. My DS had to go through this with his dad and it has been a really tough realization for him. At least if Kate is seeing someone, she is keeping it quiet for now.

I was about to post almost the same exact thing you did. I don't want to sound too 'prissy' but, kids clothes with a tattoo theme? Seriously? I wouldn't dress my kids in them and I certainly wouldn't want them modeling for such clothing. I'm sure that's what tipped the scale for Kate to file for divorce...Jon wants to use the kids for this Ed Hardy clothing line in which his new girlfriend will be collaborating. That would make my blood boil. She probably is concerned that Jon will blow through the $ they've made thus far and then use the kids as models for trashy clothing. What is he thinking? Geez, he is so immature and ridiculous.

Remember when Kate said that Jon refuses to discuss his anger/issues with her? Then he holds a few minutes conversation with her and she gets a glimpse into 'his' world. I guess his world now consists of Ed Hardy clothes, motorcylces, 22 year old GF and earrings. Nice.

yes. they should be allowed to move around their yard as they please .. but, Jon & Kate invited cameras into their life, I mean show. For better or worse, the cameras changed everything.

Kate is the parent. Quite frankly, if the mom wants the children to play in the back yard, then they children should obey. She absolutely should explain to the children why they can't play in the front yard....they're old enough to understand.

IMO, Kate doesn't mind ... because as long as she's seen with the children, then she's still being seen being a mom, even if the show isn't on the air. People can't forget about her if her picture is plastered all over the internet and tabloids.

I've been away from this thread for a while because I got so sick of J&K all over the place. But you guys suckered me back in. Anyway, I agree with what you are saying about Kate wanting to be photographed with the kids. She's no dummy. Right now, she is looking like the better parent, compared to Jon and his immature behavior.

Oh, and whoever suggested that this Ed Hardy deal may have caused the divorce, you may be right on! I know I would have kicked him to the curb after that, especially since it involves his girlfriend. And that picture of him and his young thing smoking makes me want to gag! They both look like idiots. Him for being immature and her for trying to look mature. Her body language screams of a young woman trying to be the center of attention.

What does it say when Healthtex puts the Gosselin kids on hold and Ed Hardy wants at'em?

3prettyprincesses--Jon won't talk to her because what is he going to say? How could he justify all of this? There are no words. And, for all the world watching, his actions speak louder than words anyway.
I wonder what dirt we'll hear on Kate? How she will misbehave? For the kids' sake, I hope she will be upstanding throughout all this. We'll see...it seems to be a slippery slope.

These camera's are very far away. The kids prob don't even see them. When you look at the picture of the kids driving their little car and Kate on the grass in front of them, you really get an idea of just how far away the camera's are. I'm sure the kids would obey, but why should they have to be chased into their back yard? If they don't take the pictures there, they'll just find another way to take them.
I do not believe she is on the front lawn, just so she will appear on the mags. She doesn't need that exposure..she has plenty whenever she steps out to shop. I belive she's like me..she wants her kids to be playing where they are happy.
That is prob a very short time that they are grabbing the pictures..I assume the kids also play in the back, in their houses, in the pool, etc. It's not like she can take them to a park with their bikes to play..then she would be torn apart by people saying she has a paved driveway, why doesn't she stay home.

With his hair slicked back, two earrings exposed and wearing a new sports coat, Jon, 32, and Audigier posed for a few photos together. Jon and Hailey then looked on as Audigier posed with a sexually-explicit piece of art.

The father of eight and Audigier are planning to launch "a line of children's clothing," Audigier told E! News over the weekend.

Jon and Hailey were first spotted holding hands while spending time aboard Audigier's yacht Saturday. (They also hit the chic Tahiti Beach for lunch and later popped by Prada and Hermes boutiques.)

"They're having fun," Audigier told E! News. "I'm taking care of them."

Gosselin has long been a fan of Audigier's hip clothing line.

On June 4, he wore a $275 red sweatshirt while unpacking luggage outside his home in Wernersville Pa. Two days later - while taking 8-year-old twins Cara and Mady to see Disney's Up -- he donned a pair of $150 Ed Hardy jungle-inspired jeans (featuring two angry tigers on the rear).

"He seems to love our clothing," Tara Malia Gregory, the company's marketing director, previously told Usmagazine.com.

Gregory tells Us the company's demographic is males, ages 16-30.

So what kind of message is Jon -- a 32-year-old father of 8 -- trying to send?

"People who wear our clothes are edgy and fashion-forward," Gregory told Us. "They're in tune with pop culture and they like to take risks."

Jon Gosselin's new girlfriend Hailey Glassman has an arrest record.

The 22-year-old -- who was spotted holding hands with the newly single father of eight in St. Tropez over the weekend -- was picked up by cops outside an Indiana University dorm in 2005. (She was a student at the Bloomington, Ind. campus.)

According to Jerry Minger, the communications officer at the IU Police Department, Glassman and five friends were hanging out in a parking lot at 3:18 a.m. on Oct. 2, 2005. A cop spotted the group "passing a pipe back and forth, which is consistent with marijuana," Minger tells Us.

All six people were patted down and arrested for a variety of charges, Minger says. Glassman was arrested for possession of marijuana because she had two plastic baggies in her handbag that later tested positive for THC. One bag contained one gram, the other, 2 grams.

The case was settled outside of court, Minger says. A judgment was withheld. She paid fines and court costs and was put on probation.

Am I wrong in thinking that a child would be bothered greatly by this? I just absolutely think it is terrible. Horrible.

Or do you think his kids could see the photo and say, "Yay for dad. He's finally happy. Look how relaxed he is. Taking a drag and not fighting with mommy. Spending quality time doing business and with his new girlfreind who we are thrilled to have around."

So - Jon's idea of moving on and getting a job is once again pimping his kids so that he can make money! But instead of involving Kate, this time it's his girlfriend! Makes me sick!

I agree .. the children should be able to play where they're happy. Jon & Kate are obviously ok with the way things are, because they continue to play wherever. They're living their life.

All I'm saying is that if Jon and Kate feel that the children shouldn't play in the front so they can't be photographed as easily, then the children are old enough for an explanation as to why they need to be in the back. And in the end, Jon and Kate are the parents, they make the rules. KWIM?

The youngest ones may not see the picture for a while but I wouldn't put it past some cruel kid in Mady and Kara's class to bring that picture in to school.
That would definitely not be a picture a kid should see of their newly separated father.
