I think my mom has over 12 bathing suits. She's always had a lot of suits and she'll be 72 this year. LOL

I have one but I'd have more if I looked that good in a suit!

I gotta say if my girls looks like that I would show them off in different colors too.

What is the point of having 6 kids at a pool, to have fun and get splashed! Mayeb the childless by choice route if you dont' want to get a little wet at the beach.
I agree about Mady. I still wonder what the kids call Steve, Uncle Steve? I don't think a five year old knows the difference between an uncle and a bodyguard.

I hate being splashed and told my girls that when they were little. I guess I should have just never taken them to the pool...

I too, don't like my kids to splash me at the pool. But then my picture isn't plastered on all the tabloids and I don't have other vacationers watching my every move and my every word coming out of my mouth. Kate could have rented a house with a private pool. There are SO many ways she could stay out of the spotlight and she doesn't so that tells me that she is enjoying all the attention, which makes me sick.

If she got a house with a private pool she would have been criticized for that too...

I just drove by their house yesterday and let me tell you ...it is absolutely beautiful! The property is amazing. I did see the yellow tape their neighbors had set up so that the paparazzi couldn't park there. I can't imagine what it must be like when they are actually home. I wonder if Jon was home with the boys or if they were out on a "boys trip"?

Here's an interesting article from the standpoint of the show, not J&K's marital issues. The author puts aside the scandal and looks at the fact that with Jon in one part of the country and Kate in another, the show has lost it's way.

Personally, I liked the last 2 episodes that were on. I enjoyed the second one of the kids playing at home more than the one of Kate and the cake place. I thought Collin was adorable asking Alexis all the questions upon her return from the doctor. I also enjoyed seeing Mady getting some one on one attention.

Just chiming in after seeing a blurb about the newest PEOPLE mag on the Today Show. The editor that spoke did say "John and Kate will cancel this show the minute the kids say they don't want to do it anymore". Hmmm...

Nothing was really mentioned about their marital problems.

Personally, I liked the last 2 episodes that were on. I enjoyed the second one of the kids playing at home more than the one of Kate and the cake place. I agree, Mady did need some one on one time with either Jon or Kate. I'm sure that's at the heart of the issue with her meltdowns, she just gets lost in the shuffle of having so many siblings. However, I still wouldn't let her get away with the way she talks to her parents sometimes, although I will say that of late she seeems to have calmed down.

I think the show is getting past the point of being ridiculous. So we're going to have an episode with Kate and the kids in NC, Jon will be missing and then later on in that episode Cara and Mady will be gone? The whole lure of the show (initially) was that they were all together trying to do normal things. That's how TLC pitched it and now it's just silly. How are they going to show Jon & Kate plus 8 when it's more like Jon plus 8, then Kate plus 8 minus 2 and later Jon plus 2 minus 6! TLC, do the math. I just think they're trying to force the show now and capitalize on the recent media to boost ratings. Nearly 10 million people tuned in for the season 5 disaster and yet the following week only about 5 million tuned in for the Kate's b-day/Mady's day episode. That's a pretty big drop off, nearly half.

do we know that she didn't get a house with a private pool? she may have .. but, if she wasn't at the public beach, then the paparazzi wouldn't be able to take all those pictures

If that were true, don't you think Cara would be the same? I think it's more Mady's personality and the fact that she just doesn't get the same time with her parents as the tups do. I have 3 little girls that I try to spend individual time with each day and it's hard. Imagine having 8. The tups came all at once so I'm sure J&K focused nearly all their time and energy on them. Perhaps deep down Mady resents them in a way since, before they came, it was just her, Cara and J&K. Who knows. I just feel like it would be really difficult to give 8 kids the attention they need especially when 6 of them are the same age.

She just seems very lonely and needy. These mini/seperate trips can't keep happening if the rating continue to drop as they say they are. I kind of feel sorry for her even though she brought this on herself. Jon on the other hand seems to be having the time of his life. If it wasn't for their reality tv show they would be nothing--they have no talent--they just have 8 kids and when people can't relate to them anymore they will be done.

Us reports they were staying in a private home, I am guessing they did visit a private club, where they were photographed and seen by other guest. By they way, that price is per night they are reporting. I have seen some houses rent for that amount before in the "forgotten coast" area of FL, and they are to die for!!!!

In the "just jared" shots of Jon, Mady and Cara, they looked relaxed, happy and like a normal family, but all the shots from the same site of Kate and the sextuplets look more like photo ops; and the kids don't look very happy. I hope it's all an illusion. I want them to be comfortable, relaxed and having fun with their mom.

Jon doesn't seem to want to air the laundry out about their marital problems. He said it was between him and Kate.

Its too bad that Kate doesn't have a good female friend to talk to. It seems that anyone that was close to her is gone due to her not wanting them around or them just not putting up with her. She just seems very lonely and needy. These mini/seperate trips can't keep happening if the rating continue to drop as they say they are. I kind of feel sorry for her even though she brought this on herself. Jon on the other hand seems to be having the time of his life. If it wasn't for their reality tv show they would be nothing--they have no talent--they just have 8 kids and when people can't relate to them anymore they will be done.

I was watching HLN last night and one of the guest said just that, they have no talent. It is not like they can go and get another tv show. Another guest said get a regular job, and of course the debate then became. How they are use to the lifestyle the money from the show has provided, and then of course was at what cost.
I saw that Kathie Lee Gifford spoke up and said how when her kids were little she got so much grief for talking about them and that it wasn't nothing compared to what these 8 have gone through. She said they really need to walk away from the show for the health and well being of the kids. This was on the what 10th hour of the Today show

How do you know she doesn't? Seems like she is still friends with Carla. Just because they don't show her with friends doesn't mean she doesn't have any.

When the show started on TLC I really enjoyed it, even looked forward to seeing it and the families appearances on other shows. But enough is enough. Kate has become a media monster, sorta like the blob, sucking up all the attention she can get and then spitting out nonsense. And Jon is just as bad. The statement that they will stop the show is the kids say to stop. The kids don't know what life would be like without the cameras, they don't know any better. If we let our kids eat only ice cream and then said we said we would stop them and give them healthy food if they asked for it. How many kids would stop the ice cream for vegetable? (And yes, I know some kids don't like ice cream or love vegetables.)
