no helmet AND flip-flops...nice.

I didn't even notice that. LOL .. probably because it was Jon and not the kids. It doesn't surprise me to see adults with no helmets, even though it's a good idea to wear them. The flip flops are a terrible choice for riding those things, no matter what your age.

Kate says in her book the reason they haven't cut her hair is because of Kate's grandpa. Kate's maternal grandfather held 10 month old Hannah and stroked her hair saying, "You have such beautiful hair, sweetheart." Her grandfather died soon after that.

I wish Kate had expressed in that episode what the PP said was in the book, instead of what others said what Kate said the reason was .. that would have been a sweet moment.

Exactly - nothing is unscripted anymore. Tonight's the night I decided I was done with J&K+8. When her Bday cake becomes a trip to Charm City Cakes......they 'jumped the shark' with that one.

Isn't that the truth. At least in the beginning it had a ring of truth to it. Sometimes it makes me think all this stuff between them is just to get ratings.

I'm not really impressed by either episode so far tonight....I haven't watched them super closely (they're recording again later tonight so I can focus on them). It just doesn't seem so very exciting like when they're all home together and the kids are playing or whatever. I'm also not buying the "sometimes Kate and I will film together in the chair and sometimes not because we're both so busy" stuff either. Would have been a good time for Jon to explain what he's busy with???

What happened to the female producer that used to ask the interview questions?? It's a guy on this episode. Also, it seems like Kate talks with her hands a lot more now! And she mentioned working out in the morning when Jon called about Alexis but it wasn't super early morning so who knows if she gets up early to work out when she's home or not???

Poor Alexis! Too cute that she's excited for the doctor and needle...poor baby!

it's widely speculated on the blogs that producer, Jen Stocks ( as well as others who used to work on JK8 ) works with the Duggar family now. how they know this? I don't know. I guess someone studies the credits or something.

The whole production crew left J&K+8 and now work for the Duggars. If we're to believe what Kevin and Jodi say, then the crew left because they had moral problems working for J&K and all the fighting and lies.

I watched the Duggars last week and they showed Scott the camera guy and 2 other of the old J&K crew on the show. It was a sweet clip, the Duggars were talking about how much they like Scott and the crew because they're so kind.

A few things.... I noticed they both are still wearing their wedding rings... not sure if it is for the camera (probably is).... also where can I find out where I can buy Kate's cover up it is so cute....

I enjoyed this episode... I like the fact that they take the kids on their own trips....

Just my 2 cents...

Kate looked her age (young) in the dating, wedding, honeymoon videos. I know she's older than Jon, but by what, one-two years?

She still looks her age...34 from what I read. Just because she's a mother doesn't mean she still shouldn't try to look good.

I'm really suprised at all the posters saying moms shoudn't spend too much time on looking good (getting up early, working out, spending time on hair and makeup).

Is this a cultural, generational, or possibly geographical split? Ladies?
