I really don't think they tried to find the Jon and Kate supporters, I think they were trying to find the haters more

but don't you think if their were any supporters in the community that that paper targets, they would have responded to that biting article? They certainly respond here to almost every negative post.

Here is one of the comments. This lady feels very strongly and I agree with a lot she says but some I think is wrong. Just thought I would post it.




Observing the mess---let me help you out....those two ARE stealing. They are accepting speaking fees and "love offerings" at churches; from people who live in trailer houses...because they say that they are having a hard time paying their bills. When in fact, everytime they make an appearance at at church, they church gifts them with money; and guess what? SO DOES TLC!! TLC PAYS them for making personal appearances, because it promotes the show! They steal from churches and church people.

They are feigning a "happy family" and "hardship"; to get free things---and fame. Everything they do is a lie...so that is stealing!

Kate is seen trying to save money by making bulk soup 'for the winter'--while they are busy buying a 1.3 million dollar home! Both things were in the same episode!

Their kids wear donated clothes, while mom is out buying $300 shoes; and dad is buying his girlfriend $400 purses! Kate is seen screaming at Jon to use a coupon, for a shower head, but then they buy a TWO passenger sports car. On the show, they are seen only driving around in that van; but in fact, they have 3 cars too.

They lie and pretend to be good Christians, even renewing their godly wedding vows...when in fact they have an agreement to date other people! Sure they deny it; but they also denied the million dollar mansion and the sports cars too! One thing is for sure, they have not kept the commandment to "honor your parents"; Kate cut them out of their lives. Even after Kates parents watched the twins for months, while Kate was on bedrest with the sextuplets. She cut those twins off from her parents, and denied them from seeing the sextuplets. This was cruel for the kids and the grandparents. She also cut Jon's family out of their lives...except his dad, who was wealthy, and who in fact paid all their bills.

The television show, "Special Delivery" remodelled their house. And Kate was rude and hateful about it. Not thankful at all. Many people worked very hard on that house. So what, if she didn't like the style....she could have been graceful about it. But, she is never graceful.

She said horrible, rude things about the man she bought her dogs from. Mocking him, and saying he talked too much. She said this on air! She did the same to Steve Thomas, who was kind enough to put solar panels on their house.

Kate's parent's church, donated truckloads of clothes and cribs; only to be tossed aside by Kate. They weren't good enough for her! They were not matching clothes, or cribs.

She is ungrateful, rude and has said that society "owes her".

On the show Kate wears modest clothes, but when out and about, she is in leather and mini skirts!

She sells books claiming to be a good mom, but she doesn't even take care of the kids, and doesn't see them for weeks at a time. She never bathed her kids, nor put them to bed...she never played with them; nor allowed them any friends. She is very cruel to her sons. Refusing to allow them to deocrate or eat their 4th birthday cupcakes; while their sisters were allowed to do so. She refused to go on "special days" with ther boys.She made those boys sleep alone on a dark laundry room floor, when they were sick; she didn't go to the emergency room, when the Nanny took one of them there with an injury---which would scare any 4 year old child! She mocks her children; slaps, hits and yells at them; even when they thanked her for the puppies, she said, 'WELL, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME!!!"....she torures them with throwing away their comfort items, and withdrawing the people they love from their lives.

She is rude, hateful, cruel and mean. And her husband allows her to torture his kids, so that he can have money to play. So, THAT is why people hate them!

This is just crazy comments. Sounds like someone just doesn't like her, is green with some sort of envy about her and is talking crap to be talking.

Churches give guest speakers "love offerings". It does not matter whether TLC pays them for it or not (and come to think of it, maybe they should so I am A-OK with that). A love offering is given if you want to give. You could drop in $1.00 or $100. or NOTHING. It isn't stealing. Every person who has ever spoken at my church gets a love offering.

This woman begrudges someone for the cost of their house AND that she is frugul with her family's food trying to stretch a dollar. Give me a break. Does no one see how ridiculous this sounds. Heck, most people her will do things to save $ so they can take a nice trip to WDW. Waht's the dfifference?

I have no idea how expensive Kate's shoes are. Who says they are $300.00? Proof? I have a couple of $150.00 Birkis. Yet I watch every dime in my house. If Jon's buying his GF anything than he deserves my dislike of him for sure.
The car? We all know he bought that w/o Kate's knowledge but even so my DH has a truck that seats 2. Is that sooo wrong?

I have no idea what the deal is between Kate and her parents. Does anyone know? I'd hardly base her good Christian/bad christian thing on heresay when nobody yet knows the story. Besides, that's judging...

Kate was "ungraceful"? I can't comment on that one...

Do we really know exactly what the church donated to them? If we don't know than we shouldn't comment. If you have ever seen some of the things people donate you'll understand my comment. maybe theirs was all nice, maybe not. We just don't know. What a judgemental lady though.

Kate dresses modest on the show but wears leather and mini skirts while out and about? Oh, she must be talking about the photos w/ the bodyguard that made her legs look so great. Geez....she forgot to mention the high heels! The woman is 34 yo. She very pretty, very fit now and can wear nice clothes and doesn't have to look frumpy. That woman's comments are very telling.

I'm not even going to comment on her comments about what type of mother Kate is. This woman has painted her worse than the evil stepmothers in Disney movies.

OMG! I totally noticed this, also. It was like she was putting on a show for the preschool teacher or cameras by the show of affection. It seemed overdone to me (you all can flog me for that statement, but that's the way I saw it! ).

I thought she was looking at the paparazzi in the woods when she was spaced out. She totally seemed to enjoy them being there, even if she said she didn't.

I'm used to responding to children nonstop and multitasking. Perhaps that is why I noticed it. I have watched from the beginning and I liked Kate at the beginning. The stomach flu epiisode where she had the sick child laying on the laundry room floor is when I started to notice that she didn't seem to be as in touch with the children's needs as she was her own needs and wants.

Some people also say that the appeal of J&k is that when you watch it it makes you feel better about your life. I read into that as it makes you feel better about your marriage, or maybe that's just me!

Kate says in her speech that people comment to her (all the time) that if Kate can do it with 8 children, then they can get up every day and do it with ___ kids.

What people don't realize is Kate does it with help. A lot of help.

OK, I've been reading for a week or so and finally caught up. I have some random thoughts.

I read that their previous house was 4000 sf? That's nothing to cry about. Now I don't blame them for buying a bigger house, off the road, for more privacy. 1M is nothing with what they have made.

Now for the comments about how are they supposed to support the family on a nurses salary (or IT salary). My Aunt & Uncle have 5 kids. They had 5 kids in 4 years (one set of twins) and then another 2 years later. So while they aren't septuplets, they are very close together. (One was a very special needs boy who passed away). This boy was in the hospital the first 3 years of his life and passed away shortly afterwards. They were at the hospital every day/night. (Taking shifts to be with the other 4 children they had at home.) Other than family they have never had help. They live on my Uncles salary. He does not make a 6 figure income, and when the kids were little he was making nowwhere near the income of an IT person or a nurse. They live in a small 3 bedroom house. The 3 boys in one room, 2 girls in another. 1 bathroom for all the kids. Is it tight quarters, of course, but that's what they can afford. I guess what I am saying is that if Jon & Kate went to work "normal" jobs they could make due just fine. Now that the kids are in school, they could work and still be home for the kids. Nursing jobs are 24/7 so she could work nights or when the kids are in school. IMO she is just obsessed with making money and being in the spotlight.

I live in an area with a high Mormon population. I know a lot of people with 8+ children. None of them are making millions but they all are managing just fine. They don't take a big vacation every year (let alone 4-5), but they do take vacations (Disney etc) every few years and do fun, local stuff other times.

Wow. Read the comments from all the people in Reading. Kate sure doesn't have a high approval rating in her town. Not one person that think they are nice people or good parents.

People in PA should really lobby their lawmakers to put an end to this expoitation of children.

People keep saying they have all this money. They have the same blue van for atleast 4 years.
