I don't know what to believe. It's almost too ridiculous...a secret marriage contract allowing your spouse to have girlfriends? It seems pretty far fetched to me and Kevin & Jodi said they're only going by what Jon has told them. I can't imagine Kate making up a contract but maybe I'm wrong. Really, it just sounds insane to me if she did and even more insane if Jon agreed to it! Don't you think the kids would've noticed too? If Jon is leading this seperate life and only coming together with Kate to film? Something is not adding up right here.

I think it sounds EXACTLY like something business Kate would do. Their contract with TLC probably says BOTH of them on the show and if not, it's pver. (no more $$$$$$$$$$$$) I think Kate is in it for the $$$$$ so I believe it.

In a similar article, they pointed out that Ben Affleck was on the cover of a celebrity gossip magazine, doing an interview about how much he hates being on the covers of celebrity gossip magazines.

I just keep coming back to that coupon episode. If she blew up over something like that do you really see her being like "ok Jon since we aren't working out, why dont you go find yourself a girlfriend. No really it's ok. My lawyer and I have made a contract for it"

if she had a boyfriend first, I totally believe it. Or if she had already decided to move on without Jon.....

as I believe there are TWO Kates -- "old Kate" and "current business Kate"

That is really stretching it...no one was ridiculed. There was another poster who actually thought we were serious too and laughed at herself when she realized we were just kidding. It was a freaking joke.....and not a mean one either..

Madge criticizes Kate and yet she is apparently in the "clique", so if we do have a "clique" (which we don't), non Kate lovers are allowed in....

Yeah, I was the one who bought into that joke right when I first joined this thread. I was like, COOL, some people on here who actually know Kate! Of course, then I realized the joke, and it was funny!

And I have never felt like this was a clique thread. I was made welcome from day one and have been here ever since. If I had not felt welcome, then I wouldn't have stayed.

Can't we all just get along? Agree to disagree, if that's the case?

I think two Type A people would drive each other insane. I'm a little Type A and my DH is really laid back....at times he drives me bonkers with it, but usually he just laughs at me and calms me down.

Would anyone here pay to see this?
Do you think there would be anything in the movie that we don't already know, or anything that hasn't already been speculated about?
How would they cast the six little ones?
And finally, who would play the roles of Jon, Kate, Cara and Maddy?

Unless she handed out coupons (1 per girlfriend) I find it hard to believe she would OK that contract. Now, I could buy the idea of a contract, that he'll show up type of thing. Maybe, hey, we can do the show without you, unless you sign saying you will show up.

A lot of this garbage would not even have interested the mags, if the sweet sil and law and brother hadn't come out with it first. Then they smelled a story and it was off. Other than stopping the show (and why should they have to? I did read that Kate only gave her interview because she was told that Kevin adn Jodi's was coming out, and if she admits problems, talks about it, it takes some of the oof out of their interview..and I don't even know if that is true) there is no way for them to stop being front page fodder.

Am I the only one who feels the "contract" doesn't seem like something Kate would do??? I dont know I just don't see it. The only way I would believe it to be true is because she wants him to stay on the show. Otherwise I think she would just kick him to the curb and still reap the benefits from the show. I think TLC would keep her even if Jon was out of the picture.

I totally don't see Kate doing that either, she would have no control.

Just found this thread, and I'm only on page 4 but wanted to subscribe.

I haven't read everything posted yet, and have a bunch of comments to make, but I almost feel like I'm jumping in late in the game!

Okay here goes, please don't hate on me!

First of all, I do feel that in a marriage if one partner is "so unhappy" in life and brings their concerns to you, as a wife/husband we should consider their feelings and try to come to some understanding. If that means (in J&K situation) that they take a season off and work on their marriage, that would be a good thing. Reality TV kills marriages... And they just had their wedding renewal and metioned to the kids how mommy's and daddy's stay together and this is showing them that, not matter what! Hmmm... doesn't sound like that now...

Secondly, I did hear the rumor about the "contract" that Kate had Jon sign saying that he could date as long as he was part of the show. In my opinion this is completely against Kate's personallity. She is (sorry) controlling, I can't imagine her allowing another woman near her man... I love Kate and Jon and have been so impressed how they have been filmed in real life situations (good and bad) and had always professed their love. I don't think Jon would want the girlfriend clause either... It's weird and he is being followed and his pictures are every where, so how could it even be done?

Okay, I have to go back to page 4 and keep reading!! Sorry if I'm totally off current topic!

My guess is that it would be a tv movie....no way would it be on the big screen.

I'm sorry..I was talking about Kate's interview about the more recent 'girlfriend' and the contract and all the stuff that Jodi and Kevin said. Another board said Kate was told that that was being released, and what was in it, so she agreed to the one interview. Supposedly that was why she said just believe the one magazine, the one she actually gave the interview in.
Someone mentioned that Kate was all about getting into the magazine's, but I was commenting that the 'official' interview she did, was supposedly in response to what Kevin and Jodi were saying (darn, why can't their initials be different so I can abbreviate them LOL!).

How about the fact that Jon was caught with another woman? That made the news before Kevin and Jodi came out with anything. Kate did her interview with People before Kevinand Jodi said a word. This garbage was started by Jon acting like a fool by going out to a bar with Deanna and then further complicated by Kate coming out to say they might split up because they're not on the same page anymore. I don't think Kevin and Jodi helped matters by saying what they did either.

Maybe the contract was more TLC-ish...J&K went to the producers to tell them what's going on and TLC said as long as you both show up to film we can work around this. I'm guessing any contract between J&K would've been verbal too, not anything written down.
