So for those reading along who think the Gosselin kids are just fine and being properly cared for, would you put your life and kids on TV for money? I don't care how many kids you have, be it 1 or 20. I'm really interested to see what you all think!

I would not. Not because I think it is wrong but just because it wouldn't work for me. I am a private person and would hate to have someone follow me around with a camera. Not to mention my every move being discussed by people like me on sites like this. Besides that our family is too boring for tv.

MichelleVW - I know we're OT but in the latest puppy pic, is that a rug the little fella's on? I'm looking for a run that color for my kid's playroom (tile floor) and was curious where you found something like that and what you thought about it (easy to clean, soft/comfy, ect). If that's being way too nosey (which it could be) feel free to ignore!

Back OT - the article 3prettyprincesses posted from CBS, I guess Ms Allred's known for more outrageous comments than that so I would expect more outspokeness from her. Part of me thinks when Kate said they "need" to keep doing the show that so much money has been put up for the kids that they have to keep J&K's money coming in to maintain things (house payments, utilities, ect).

His name is Jonas. (My girls are HUGELY obsessed with the Jonas Brothers ) He also answers to JoJo We've had him for 2 1/2 weeks and he's 8 1/2 weeks old, 10 pounds and a real sweetie.

I didn't see that blog to be whining ...but I really think TLC had her put it up there for damage control.

Nope...asking about my rug isn't too nosy. I honestly don't remember where we got it....somewhere in North Carolina a few years ago. I know we got it when we were selling our house to cover a hole that the dogs chewed in the rug...(yes, awful I know...). It's really soft and not too hard to keep clean.

I probably got it at Walmart or Target.

Nope...asking about my rug isn't too nosy. I honestly don't remember where we got it....somewhere in North Carolina a few years ago. I know we got it when we were selling our house to cover a hole that the dogs chewed in the rug...(yes, awful I know...). It's really soft and not too hard to keep clean.

...me I only have 3 and it can be a pain. Everyone feels different about things that is why we are different, thank god.

I only have one and it feels like a circus production to get out the door. I'd wanted 3, and as DS started really growing into his personality my MIL told me that I'd best NOT have another just yet b/c he was such a handful. Turns out she was right, though it's not for a lack of trying that we haven't had more yet!


I don't know how long ago it was asked, but on the last page someone quoted a person asking if we'd do a show like this? Yes, yes I would. I talk about most everything with people or online anyway, I'm not really a private person at all. Of course very few people would be interested b/c it's just the three of us, and I would't go and do thing to my teeth, I would't get Lasik (again), I wouldn't be getting a tummy tuck, hubby wouldn't get hair plugs...dentist appointments are fairly simple (unlike taking 6 or 8 all at once), and so on and so forth. I think maybe some people on mothering.com might be interested, but not the mainstream.

But yeah, if they came calling I'd do it.

I personally think I would too, only because our family's so far away so it would be great for them to be able to see the kids growing up. It's no hidden fact that my kids aren't angels and I'm no Mom of the Year by any strech so at least it would comedic to say the least! I personally don't think we're that exciting - maybe our family would be more birth control! Personally I'd love a tummy tuck - the doctor's already told me no matter how much I exercise, I've got too much scar tissue and stuff there to have my "pre-baby" body back (granted pre baby I spent an hour or hour and a half a day at the gym and still don't think I was that great looking). Nothing like that's in our budget. I'd also love to be able to show other people how to use coupons - I love to talk about how cheap I am! DH hates when I tell people I'm "cheap and easy because all it would take is a happy meal for dinner and a drink afterwards". (it's not really that bad but that's our running joke) It certainly wouldn't be easy by any means and I wouldn't change the way we lived (I'm sure everyone says that!) and I would have to have strict rules about how much filming and "working" actually took place. I don't think I have anything to worry about though...TLC's not beating my door down!

I know what she said about her aunt, and if we had this conversation in person instead of on a computer I would have said, "should I give her a medal?" because honestly it sounded like bragging to me.

My grandma had 5 kids....I had a friend who was one of 8 kids....but my point still is, they were not all the same age and that is a HUGE difference.

Oh....for the good ole days when this thread was fun and TSW and I could argue with Madge and it was so nice and pleasant...not mean and nit picky...

I don't think Kate is perfect....she's got some issues....but to some posters she can and never will do anything right....which is why this thread is now turning into GWOP 2.

I have stayed away from most other J&K threads because they were too nasty. This one was never a Kate "lovefest" but it was a place for good debate and conversation. Now it's just a lot of nasty speculation....and digs on her appearance...

I just want to say, as a mum to twins, that there is a world of difference between having 2 or 3 young children of different ages (who may or may not been in nappies) and having multiples!

I have discussed this many times at my twin club and with friends who have older/younger children - and until you are in the position of caring for multiples you can't really appreciate how hard it can be.

At times I was tearing my hair out with my twins, I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for J&K - if I had been in their position you can be darned sure I would have been screaming for as much help as possible!

As for the letting TV into film your family - if it meant I could provide a financially more secure life for my children, I would seriously contemplate it. Especially if I had 6 new babies to provide for. I know how much nappies/food/clothing/equipment cost us for twins - I dread to think what it would cost for 6! And yes, i am aware she did get provided with a lot of baby items , but I'm sure their food bill must be huge!

If all the rumors and apparent "train wreck" stories are true it's just so sad. I caught pieces of the episode on their trip to Disney my dd had just happened to watch that was DVRed. (It's the only one we still have recorded). It was so sad to watch. They seemed like such a happy family, granted they have their issues, but they had a strong sense of family which isn't as apparent in the newer episodes. It was also odd watching Kate and how much she has seemed to change in this past season. She just seems so narcissistic in this last season that wasn't there before.
I really hope they can get back to where they were. Not sure it's going to happen though. Especially with infidelity and the way Kate through Jon under the bus in the People article.

The only SHOCKING thing about that little titbit is how vindictive Jodi and Kevin are being. The good thing about it is it shows their true colours if this is how they treat family.

Again this is all unconfirmed malicious gossip from a couple who have their own personal vendetta. Until I see said actual 'contract' I don't believe a word.

About that supposed "contract" doesn't that just seem like something an unfaithful man would say when he got caught --- "uhhhhh, my wife and I have an agreement that I can see people on the side." Especially when the people he's speaking to, (Kevin & Jodi), are already angry at his wife and probably primed to believe anything.

I agree with the person who said Kate won't let Jon buy something without a coupon -- do we really think she'd be okay with him sleeping with other women?? I just think that's abdicating far too much control.

Oh, by the way, a second brother of that teacher Jon is allegedly having an affair with has come out and said it's true.
