The whole situation is sad.
kate totally denies she had an affair with the body guard.
It may have not been physical, but it probably was an emotional affair. Which can be a lot worse.
I'm betting that is why she freaked out, and begged him and his wife, not to leave them too. She is way overly attached to him.

Someone mentioned Princess Di,
didn't she do the same thing with her body guard?
She ended up calling him all hours of the day, and someone got a hold of the phone messages and sold her out and gave them to the tabloids. I have a feeling this is what is going to happen to Kate next.

I was thinking about those videos of Jon before going to bed last night and another stuck out to me....he said "it all goes to them" (meaning the kids I would assume since that's what he was asked about) and that they had a corporation set up.......hmm. Maybe they're smarter than what we're assuming???

Also, DH brought in the TV Guide to me this morning and there's a CRAZY ad for the new season in there. It's like J&K's heads with like the carnival bodies beneath them. I'll see if I can figure out how to scan it or take a picture and try to post (I'm so glad DH had to bring his computer home this weekend!).

Showbiz Tonight (I think that's the name of the "entertainment" show on CNN Headline News) had a commercial on this morning that there were "new developments" that they were going to talk about tonight. They should just read the DIS - it seems like we've got the best posters here because we've got the info first!

Whoa Mama! Wow, and here I thought nothing else could possibly come out of the rumor mill! I'm gonna need another cup of coffee here, this thread is going to zip along today I just know it! they were saying this on the radio station I listen to also. They said it was convenient that this is all coming out now that their season premier is just a week away.

TLC is playing it up too. I saw the commercial last night for the new season and they very dramatically said, "Jon and Kate together for the first time since the news broke"

I've thought that too, but honestly that would be the lowest of the low. If it were just them (like Spencer and Heidi) then whatever, it's your reputation. BUT they have kids and no matter what Kate says, they know. So if they told them, oh don't believe it blah blah blah imagine the effect that would have on them? That is just sick.

I'm not an expert in media matters but that whole situation just doesn't ring true with me. If it did happen, then they have every right to be annoyed, but then they said they were paid by TLC.

They say Kate didn't want them to get paid, but then they say they did get paid? Was it not enough?

And if TLC did want to pay them more or give them a contract, why would it matter what Kate thought?

TLC are in charge of production, JK may be producers but in name only, they obviously don't have much say in editing because they can be portrayed in a fairly negative light - Kate especially at times. I know she says she doesn't mind, but what else can she say? It's already out there.

TLC are a large corporation - if they want someone to have a contract - they will.

What could Kate do? Refuse to have them film? Then JK would be in breach of contract, and as had been mentioned, Kate loves the attention being on TV gives her. Why would she give that up?

I just don't see that TLC would kowtow to what Kate wants, she's not in charge of contracts or money. TLC will do what is beneficial to them - not to that family. They are out to make a profit and get ratings.

Personally I feel it's more likely TLC turned Jodi down for more $, but Kate makes a better villian than a faceless corporation.

Could well be the case, but I just think there is more to the issue than the cut & dried "it's all Kate's fault" theory. Two sides to every story - and the truth is somewhere between the two. More than likely there is fault on both sides.

I just don't think the Kevin/Jodi interview is in anyway helping the children, and just causing more strife in the family.

Adults sniping away at one another, and the children caught in the middle. Not just the Gosselins, but also Jodi and Kevin's kids as well.

At this point, who knows.
But, we all noticed the tension last season in the interview chair/sofa.
You really can't hide body language, unless they are really good actors.

On Survivor, Johnny Fairplay, told everyone his grandma died, when his cousin came to visit him, during a rewards channel. It came out, that they made the whole thing up, so he would get sympathy and not get voted off. It worked until everyone found out he was lying. He is probably the most hated person now, that has ever done Survivor.


If this is a hoax, with Jon and Kate,
I don't think viewers will forgive them.
yet, viewers are angry and upset no matter what they are doing.
I just think they are slowly killing everything.

I also do know that many people take advantage of what is offered them by the government and make excuses as to why they are owed it..

She took what was offered - no problem there - but was then demanding it be extended beyond the cut-off date because it was "society's obligation" to help her raise these children after she and Jon chose to have fertility treatments - knowing full well that it would likely result in multiple births.. That's quite a bit different from making use of what is available - according to the guidelines - for whatever time period it's allowed - and then demanding it continue beyond the allowed time period because it's "society's fault"..

That's the good thing about God. You can come to Him with anything, be it a tiny problem or a huge epidemic. He will listen to all of it.

If you get down to it, complaining about JK8 is silly because there are, like you said, children living in gutters. Instead of typing on a messageboard, you could be praying for them (or trying to help them in some way). I'm not saying you have to, but when you start making statements about what is important and what is not, it just escalates. I can name something more important. But this is waaay more important than that, etc.

Do you think that no one on this thread prays for those children every night? Prays that maybe - just maybe - Jon & Kate could save their marriage, ditch the show, and live happily ever after - without their children (and at this point, they themselves) constantly being in the public eye?

Do you think that people on this message board - or any other message board - don't pray for homeless people? Children who are starving? Children with life-threatening disease? World peace? Elderly people who can't make ends meet?

I guess I didn't realize that it had to be a case of "all or nothing" when conducting our daily lives and watching what is unfolding in the world around us..

I would put NO stock in that at all - unless I saw it with my own two eyes.. I also put no stock in what Jodi and Kevin are saying - because I don't know if they are telling the truth or not..

I was checking back to see if there had been any further developments - straight from Jon or Kate's mouths today - but so far it appears not..

I'm still holding out hope that they will cancel this show - and concentrate on their marriage - and most importantly, their children.. (And yes - I do pray for that..)

I don't know if it was mentioned on this thread but Kate gave an interview to People about the whole thing. The impression I got was that she basically wants fame and he didn't/doesn't. Not that that gives you an excuse to cheat (if he did) but the article was very narcissistic. She talks about how she is doing all this for her kids but if you read the article it gives off a very different vibe. She is doing all of this for herself and nobody else no matter what she tries to convince people.

Someone - probably 20 pages back or so - provided a link to the article - where it can be read online.. You have to enlarge it in order to read it.. It was sad.. It was right from Kate's own mouth - and makes me pray even harder that these two wake up and see the light..

4 magazines at the grocery with Kate or Jon/Kate on the cover. The super-airbrushed cover of People looked a little creepy, LOL
