I'm with you. I'm sure Jodi was sweet, but that sweet is turning to sour in my mouth as the two of them sit there and dis Kate, the children's mother, who as far as I see, loves them very much.
I agree that Kate opens her mouth and out pops stuff (like the medicaid item) that if she were a professional actor she might be more careful saying the things she says. That she isn't so careful actually makes me believe her more. I have no idea when Kate talks and the mags report it (or Jon for that matter) how much is word for word, how much is taken out of context, how much is true, what are stories to make them more popular. It reminds me of the Bible verse where God is urging us to all drink..you know, where He leads us to the still (oops, did I forget the word water?).
I also do know that many people take advantage of what is offered them by the government and make excuses as to why they are owed it. It seems to make them feel better about it. And if it's offered, well, then if they are comfortable taking it, good for them. My neighbor has free denistry for her children, and she adopted a child that it turns out has medical problems so she gets free medical care for her adopted child, since she doesn't have medical insurance. It's not medicaid, it's something else for those without medical care based on her income. Some people twist things around to get more of what they are owed..nothing illegal, just something offered. I get something called Star in NYS. I think it's stupid but I'm not turning it down. Other people have signed over their life savings and property to their children so their children won't lose it all if they go into a nursing home. It's legal, and I don't see people stopping from doing it..yet, that means my taxes will pay for your nursing home (but that's OK, because someone else will be paying for mine!). Sounds to me that Kate and Jon figured out how to get help when they had the little ones, the biggest difference is, she didn't take what was offered shyly. She shouted it out. It wasn't against the law, and she was allowed to have the care, so she fought for it. I wish someone offered me placement items when my kids were young. I would have taken them.
