I've been following this thread on and off from the beginning....you all have the gossip before anyone does!

Anyway...just wanted to say that I'm not going to be waiting in line for Kate's book. I'll wait until Mady turns 18 and writes her tell-all. Now THAT will be a GOOD story!

Kate stated yesterday to a crowd in Michigan that she is done touring and going to spend more time at home.

Kate Gosselin said the stop in Muskegon, located about 35 miles northwest of Grand Rapids, was the last on her travel schedule for a while. She said she plans to spend more time at home after the visit.

It doesn't surprise me a bit that Jon hasn't given an interview. What in the world is he going to say? There are not just rumors about Jon there are also pictures and witnesses to his bar hopping. Does that mean he cheated? No, but it doesn't look good.

I have been guilty of making assumptions about Jon, Kate, Jodi all of them. I don't know any of them or what they have been through. I do believe that all of them love those 8 kids.

I feel the same. What I have posted have been my opinions on WHAT I SEE, but in the end, I really don't know them personally, so that's all my statements are - opinions only.

Completely agree...this past season it was very obvious something wasn't right. Their body language was very telling and I'm sure psychologists have viewed it and remarked upon it.

The last topic listed there is "Is fame ruining Jon and Kate's marraige?". They actually had psychologists (sp?) on last night talking about the problems this is causing....yikes!

I'd say this is really getting the word out quickly! Many places have news networks on (I know our local banks and restraurants do during the day) so more people are hearing about this now.

I certainly hope this isn't causing the kids problems while they're at school. I would hope teachers and such would put a stop to it as quickly as possible. Those poor kids.

Wasn't she supposed to be in Detroit today or tomorrow for the Women's Show and "Tea with Kate"? I hope she didn't back out on those as people paid for those tickets (quite a bit if I remember right!). I do think it's best for her to stay at home for awhile though. Hopefully if she doesn't go everyone will get their money back very quickly!

Wow, I just read this over on a J&K blog and it's an interesting viewpoint from a young 15 year old girl....


We received this post by e-mail from a 15 year old young lady who thought we should share a teen point-of-view. We agree.

With all of this attention on Jon and Kate and their marriage, I can’t help but wonder what their kids, especially Cara and Mady are going through. I could only imagine what pain and heartache they are enduring. I’m sure it is an awkward feeling for them to be walking into school, having all of your classmates know about your parents personal life. At my school I am known as the “Jon and Kate plus 8 freak.” Everyday I am asked about how I feel about the controversy regarding Jon and Kate. My response is always “I don’t care what happens to them, but I truly care about what will happen to their children.” I sit at home many days thinking what Mady and Cara are going through. Their parents need for fame and greed has truly ruined their lives. I also think about the sextuplets who recently turned five. What do they know? How have their lives changed? I know at the beginning Jon and Kate’s sole priorities were their children, but it has dramatically changed to money. With a few stupid and selfish decisions, Jon and Kate have ruined their and their children’s lives. I wish Cara, Mady, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel the best, and that one day they can live without cameras pointing in their face and with two dedicated and loving parents.

There is more to having the children's best interests in mind than a healthy bank account. While money is nice, it doesn't buy happiness as Kate and Jon and the kids, unfortunately, are finding out. What about spending time with them, playing with them, letting them be kids without the glare of the cameras, loving their father, taking care of them yourself instead of the current nanny of the month, etc.

Also, someone mentioned that they hoped the teachers were monitoring what was happening at school with mady/cara and the other students. I am sure the teachers are doing their best; however, they will not be able to hear everything or be with the girls all the time. So, unfortunately there are going to be things said and cara.mady will hear what is going on--and I am sure that they already have. Even the septuplets may have heard a comment or two at preschool.

I think the difference between her and the rest of us is that she
1. has someone to clean her house
2. has someone to watch/care for her kids
so . . . she has plenty of time to do her hair.

The money was mentioned because of posts saying Kate is getting all the money. I posted that we don't know that, maybe the kids are getting healthy bank accounts as well. I never said that was the only thing they are getting or that it's the most important. Please don't put words in my mouth.

I have no idea how much time Kate is spending with her children, or if she has a new nanny monthly. I assume when they decided that John would not get another job (if he even could after lying about why he left the last one), and would stay home, she thought her children would be with their father, as a stay at home dad, while she was out with this new book. The camera's are not there all the time, and when they are, we are allowed to see just what TLC wants us to see. What they think will make good show material. For all we know she could be flying in and out, and home several days a week, and spending lots of time with thekids. Or this could be a few week thing with the book. I have no idea.

I also have no idea how Aunt Jodi's sister knows that the kids home life is the worst it's ever been (according to her blog), if they are no longer in their lives. (Don't you wonder, if it is bad, why TLC doesn't step in, since they are there often?). Jody and Kevin were told about Kate supposedly having an affair 6 months ago, and now felt they had to come out and share it with the world. And this helps the kids how? And why do they feel they need to chastise Kate and not Jon? Bitter a little bit over not being paid to be on the show? Maybe.

Wow, I just read a preview of the Star Magazine article with Kevin and Jodi. This is really sad but at least it answers a lot of questions regarding J&K. I think the worst part is that Kate says Cara and Mady are aware of what is going on. Read it for yourselves. Oh, and Kevin and Jodi are very clear why they told their story, to protect the Gosselin kids and stop the trainwreck of the show from further damaging their little lives. I'm sad...

Kate can't win not matter what she does.
I bet if she and John don't split, people will say, how can she keep those kids in a bad marriage situation. I bet if they do split people will say, how can she do that to her kids. Even if we find out that Jon was the only one having an affair, it will probably be Kate's fault because she was out selling her book.

Boy, TLC must be thrilled. This first show will probably be the highest watched show they have.

By the way, it seems that she is not really giving interviews to all the rags, but that they are making it appear that she is. She said only one is correct.

I wonder how she felt after she saw what her brother and Jody said.

Kate also said she was in 4 magazines that came out this week. 3 were false and only 1 was true.

I really hope Kate is cancelling all her other appearances. Hopefully the people that paid for tea with Kate get their money back.

I do feel that a woman should be loved and respected and a man should also be loved and respected, that's what makes a marriage work, regardless of your religion or lack thereof. But I think it has to be mutual. It is hard to love and respect someone who does not show you the same. If someone is constantly belittling you for breathing or calling you names and smacking you every time you say something, that is not respect.

I hope my post was clear my neighbor the evangelical christian believes a woman does not get respect just love if she is loved then she will respect her husband. My point is each should get both not one or the other. That is why we argue. I believe not respecting your spouse is wrong both for the husband and wife.

I missed that last night thanks for posting. I submitted a request to CNN asking if Nancy Grace would consider covering the topic. The fact she struggled so much to have her kids, twins too. I would love to hear her opinion on the matter, especially the lack of laws protecting children who as of yet are not in the SAG. It took years for child actors to get protection from greedy parents thought it really needs to be addressed now.

I think there is much more concern here regarding the children and their best interest. If it was just a stupid affair I do not think people would be caring as much as they do. I think people here really value their own roles as parents, caregivers, aunt, uncles, members of soceity. They just want to make certain someone is taking care of these kids this situation having that many children in a weekly reality show brings about questions and concerns we as a society never had to think about before.
