Kate says she is very hesitant to believe any of it. They are dealing with it privately and they are working through it together.

I missed it, but I guess she's had her shock, and now she is in denial.

I'm watching it too. She does seem angry and tired. I still think they need to stop with the camera's and books, and focus on healing their family.

I didn't get the impression that was going to happen. in fact, Kate was referring to upcoming shows and how they'll handle them. of course, we know most of them were filmed before the stories hit the fan.

and to those who thought she seemed angry or tired? I didn't think so. that's the same flat personality she had when she spoke here. just blah, blah, blah.

and there was talk of them working through this (whatever that means) but not one word about how much love there was in the family, except when she spoke of the children.

having seen her in person, I disagree. I didn't see anything from her that suggested she's angrier than she was on March 8. she's just flat that way.

my guess is denial.

and much of what she says is "I", this is what "I" do. Not much we, other than talking about the show.

She looked so sad on Today. Not like her spunky louder personality I have seen before. Just from the body language I think she thinks Joh did something wrong. I never liked how she spoke to him, she was always been rather demeaning to him, however that does not excuse his indiscretion.

I guess she was serious.

If the show's your life, we'll be seeing them discuss this and how they work through it as a family right?? I think it's kind of two-faced to make a HUGE deal that the show's your life and your life is the show then turn around when something big and bad hits and say "oh nope we're going to be private now". PLEASE if you're going to address it on the show, use it as a tool to help others who may be having problems! Show the steps they could take (not necessarily the ones you took) or where to get resources from. Not everyone can afford the counceling or attorneys or whatever. Use this as a tool to help others while you're "working through it".

I saw the little tease this morning before I left and was tempted to come in late to see it! I tried getting the guys in the back to turn the channel for me but convinving a room of firefighters to watch Kate didn't go so well for me! The did say they were going to talk about the "recent alligations" or something like that and Kate wasnt' happy at all by the looks of things (can't say I would be either).

I also really quickly skimmed through the other aricle posted with all the pictures (I'll have to go back and read more later....running out of time this morning) and saw they mostly talked via text. Speaking from some recent reserach (for a friend dealing with something scarily similar), this is NOT the way to go. You simply need an attorney to subpena the cell phone records and Kate would have EVERY WORD of the texts (if she wanted them). Not a smart move on Jon's part at all. Not at all.

The whole thing is sad. I don't care how mean anyone thinks Kate is she and the children don't deserve this. If Jon has cheated on her then that's very sad. If you don't want to be with your spouse you don't cheat, you tell them you're not happy and either get counseling or leave. This is what adults should do. On the final episode of the season he said he didn't like being followed everywhere when he left home. I summarized what Jon said those were my words not his.
Guess what, he new there were cameras around and I think he wanted to get caught. Why else would he do what he did. I hope they get help. If they don't talk about this on the show then the reality factor she has talked about is gone. This is real life, people have problems. If they act like nothing has happened the show is no longer reality. I have never missed an episode but I'm not sure if I want to watch anymore.

Maybe he did tell her lets slow down and take a break. But everyone knows that Kate wears the pants in the family. Maybe this is the only way to get her attenion? I know thats not the right way to get your point across, but hey he's dealing with Kate.

She wrote the book for the kids? Sorry, I don't buy that. She's pretty financially sharp and quickly realized when the show took off that she could push out a book about the babies and capitalize on it. That has nothing to do with her wanting to write it FOR them. It's all about the $. Case in point...I wrote a little children's story for my 3 girls (it's only something I wrote on Microsoft Word!) that they love to hear. It's an actual story FOR them. How Kate can say she's doing this for the kids is unimaginable to me. Do you think right now those beautiful little kids care about her book? Nope. I'll wager they want her home, not galavanting across the country to promote a book for them! Kids need time, quality time too, with their parents. Time when Mom or Dad sits down with them to play or talks about things they like or listens to stories they made up. You get my drift. The non-nanny is not a substitute for that. No amount of $ or books will make up for it. My guess is that Kate will wake up one day (hopefully soon) and realize what's she's missed out on and what her children had to sacrifice in order for her to have HER dream. Seriously, who wants to place bets that one of Gosselin kids will write a tell all book when they grow up? It's just so insane, she says she's doing all of this for the kids so she can be with the kids but she's not. I wonder how many hours a day they spend with the non-nanny? Her thinking is completely eskewed and I truly think she believes herself, self-denial is real!

Yeah, her raising 8 kids would really be a challange: making in the range of $50,000 a show, free trips, free nannys, free housekeepers, free cooks, We could all add to the list.

Nevermind. Original post deleted because I just saw the clip Madge posted. Kate does look blah to me too. What a bunch of baloney though. I can't believe she says she's hesitant to believe it. I laughed when she said that people will basically say anything for the tabloids for $ but we all know that Deanna's brother wasn't paid! I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but I think that whole interview was fake. Kate's PR person sat down with her and prepped her for Meredith's potential questions. She looked robotic to me. Saying she wrote the books for the kids because she wanted to show much she loved them in writing? Ever hear of a journal Kate? I write down all kinds of things my kids say or do or how happy they make in a journal. Now, would I ever think of publishing it for the whole world to see so that my kids would be able to see in writing that I love them? No. She's ridiculous. I really think her attitude toward this whole thing is how can I minimize the damage so as to continue with the show and my lifestyle? I'd like to believe the kids factor into it but I'm getting more and more jaded. There's my 2 cents worth!

Oh, and I love how they can show their kids peeing and pooping on portable potty's all around the house but some things like Jon's infidelity are private! Hello, you're on a reality show that YOU chose to do. You've got to expect that people will want to see you talk about the scandal on your show.

I don't follow Jon & Kate plus eight that much anymore. I really liked the earlier shows they use to do (hate the stuff now, I like Table for 12 - MUCH BETTER).
I can't believe how poorly she speaks. It really grates on my nerves with all the 'ums'!
