Was anyone else disturbed by Jon's behavior on the finale - he seems miserable. Doesn't he understand they wouldn't have all the things they have if they didn't have the show - I don't get it.

Just because you're materialistically and monetarily "set" doesn't mean you're always happy. That said, check about 15 or so pages back for all the chatter on the subject.

They're having a special on Earth Day - I think it's called "Gosselins go Green" or something like that.

A bit OT but kind of on topic, we have a film crew here today shooting a pilot show for Food Network. I have NO CLUE how J&K do it with 8 kids and all this equipment and lightening and everything else. They were here for six hours before they even shot anything - that's just how long it took them to set everything up! One of the guys said they generally tape about 10 days to get 10 minutes of "good" footage.... I'll post some pictures later of all of the "stuff" needed for our 15 minutes of fame (hopefully)

No no Bobby Flay - I would have died! I'm a die hard Food Network fan for sure.

I don't know how much I'm allowed to say so I guess I'll just tell you the "basics" that I know at this point. Someone from a production company contacted our fire department asking if they could do a cooking show for a pilot to be shown to the Food Network. We agreed and that's why they're here today. My understanding is that the show is about cooking in different fire stations - kind of like a Bobby Flay thing where the "pro" chefs cook with/against the guys from our department. It was VERY interesting to watch (off and on) throughout the day. They just finished up the "people" taping part here at the station and are going to another place here in town to tape a bit more then they're done for the day. I have to say the hosts and crew were incredibly nice! I took a bunch of pictures and will post a few later on once I get them off my camera.

Back to J&K - I have no clue how we don't see them sweating the entire time they're under those lights! We had the AC set at 59 degrees and it was still INSANELY hot when you were actually standing in the kitchen under those lights. I've never seen so much stuff in my life for anything so seemingly simple - cords everywhere, people everywhere...

We're watching "movie night" or something like that right now - kids are riding bikes they got from Ellen. It looks like there will be sevearl episodes on Sunday as well.

the dogs are still around .. which puts that rumor to rest

I was sort of expecting to see new footage when I saw the link to the video about things the Gosselins do. it was just recycled (ha ha, get it?!) Sara Snow footage from earlier in the series.

and .. wow. the couch scene body language much different. Jon and Kate were actually touching in some of them!

I wonder how much of the food they're eating now is organic? Kate says they only eat organic meat, which isn't really accurate .. unless they're bringing in their own food to restaurants and events.

What is the rumor about the dogs? Is it that Kate made them mysteriously disappear--you know she secretly hates them.

I also thought the same thing about the body language. I mentioned it to DH watching the finale before they even started speaking.
